The author of Long Range Patrol delivers a new novel of LRP action in Vietnam. Assigned to Juliet Company LRPs, Captain Jim Hollister's mission is to find, fix, and kill Viet Cong. Night inserts, terrifying landing zones, choppers under fire, and murderous VC ambushes are all part of the job.

Well written. It shows the author has been there & done that. Many twist & turns with a surprise ending that was a little disappointing! I highly recommend
Author Dennis Foley put in his time in Vietnam. When he returned to the States, the Army assigned him to liaison duty with Hollywood crews making shows or movies on Army bases or using Army equipment. After leaving military service, Dennis became a writer and producer on such shows as China Beach, MacGyver, Airwolf, and Cagney & Lacey.
The characters, settings and situations in this gritty book seem real because (1) Dennis is a terrific writer, and (2) he put unflinching honesty into every page.
