First, my sahasra pranama to the author Shri Shridhar for blessing us with this extraordinary book, a holy addition to the Kannada literature. I should consider myself lucky to having come across this book accidentally in a book store. My heart yearned to read it. I didn't even know a book on Parashurama exists by a contemporary writer.
The introduction by the author sets a marvelous stage for his story building. He provides his sources and reasons why he would choose to narrate the story.
The book talks of Sri Bhargavarama's story since before his conception until he faces Maryada Purushottama Shri Rama. The entire narration is gripping and flowy. The author also emphasizes about the need for dharma and how certain energies can go astray if they are not controlled well. One could quickly get connected to the characters in the novel and it is highly transporting to Parashurama's world.
It's so nice to read of him and it was my first book on him. The most attractive thing is the cover illustration. I must say I have lost the count of the times I've got so mesmerized by the divya roopi jatādhari Parashurama.
I recommend this to every reader, especially those who are into the dharmic books.
I extend my gratitude to the fellow Goodreads readers who immediately added this book to the database at request.
PS The author also has written a book on Shukracharya
