Pretty Lives Ugly Truths: Malcolm & Alex, is the second book in the Monroe Family Series. The first book, Pretty Lives Ugly Truths is available on Amazon now!
After discovering the crippling news on the night of her 40th birthday, Alex is forced to rethink her marriage, her life and ultimately her future.
Malcolm, in denial about the fact that his marriage may be over, coupled with an unsuccessful film career, is thrown into a tailspin making him even more determined than ever to get Alex back and make things right again.
Nikki, who has a very different agenda, is not making anything easy for Malcolm as she refuses to cooperate with any of his wishes. All this raises the questions: What will Malcolm do about Nikki? Will Malcolm’s film career perish? Has Alex moved on?
As chaos and destruction rear their ugly heads in Malcolm’s life, he begins to spiral out of control to an ending that will force him to deal with the consequences of his past deceitful actions.
The sequel to Pretty Lives Ugly Truths picks right up were the first book left off as K. Elle Collier weaves another drama-filled tale that will leave you wondering, what will Malcolm do now?
K. Elle Collier started her writing career off by participating in various esteemed writing programs such as: The Bill Cosby writing Workshop, The Walt Disney Writing Fellowship as well as Warner Bros. Comedy Writing Program, this in turn lead to a staff writing position on the CW sitcom Girlfriends. K. Elle later branched off to other avenues of writing such as screenplays and stage plays, where she adapted the best-selling novel 'Friends and Lovers' by Eric Jerome Dickey for the stage.
Her love for writing flowed over to novels where she currently has two best selling books, "My Man's Best Friend" and "Kai's Aftermath" (Book 2). K. Elle lives in Los Angeles California.
This is the second book in the series and covers Alex & Malcolm's story and was drama filled as expected. I just want to go on record as saying that I do not like Malcolm's character. He is a despicable, manipulative serial cheater, and a poor excuse for a man.
When Alex decided to leave him and relocate after his latest affair, he went berserk. Not taking responsibility for his actions, he blamed everyone for his downfall. This character went around threatening, fighting in his quest to win back his wife.
Alex on the other hand, anxious to move on, tried to meet someone who would take her mind off her cheating husband. She will soon realize that people are not always who they seem to be. I have enjoyed the series so far, it is a fast paced, page turner with never a dull moment.
I fast becoming a fan of "K.Collier" she is great story teller. I can't Stan Malcolm he makes me sick I feel he is right where he belongs. This is a must read don't sleep on this AUTHOR must read!!!!!!!
This was a good book and still full of Monroe drama. I Aiello say that I wish rude editing was better. Full conversations in a single paragraph left me a little confused.
Oh my gosh this second installment was explosive. Malcolm and Alex should have never been together. I think he's bee lying to her their entire marriage. This character Malcolm (his worst enemy) was a man no women wants to meet. He's temper was nothing like I've ever seen before. He has never taken responsibility for actions. And to me his character was off the chain. His actions made no since to normal people. My mouth drop open all the time throughout this book.
When Alex finally decided to leave him and relocate after his latest affair, he went berserk. Not taking responsibility for his actions, he blamed everyone for his downfall. This character went around threatening and fighting people to win back his wife. Now so where this books leaves off is Malcolm where he's suppose to be and hopefully they will administer some meds.
There is so many twist and turns that I don't think I'll get my happy ever after in this series. This really is a great read!!!
And it continues the Un-functional lives of Malcolm, Lance and Lacey Monroe.
I didn't think Malcolm could be more depraved or his unbridled temper get him deeper into trouble. But I was wrong. This guy never seems nondestructive when to stop and think. He just does and thinks later guided by extreme passion and no logic.
These characters have me engaged from Sylvia and her duplicity to Nikki's erratic desperation. And Alex and her increasingly problematic choices primarily because trouble finds her more than she is looking for it.
Please. Read this book. You won't want to stop until the end.
