honestly, this was my fav out of the rumor central series. I normally find the main character, maya morgan, to be really vapid, insensitive, and very selfish. The way she is is usually what I would read in books with non black/brown characters, and I just didnt really relate to her having such characteristics. It was always very hard for me to really like her or admire her or connect with her. But this book was different. Though she was still shallow, it felt something changed. Maybe she just grew? Or maybe it was the drama that was a bit different, so her usually antics and characteristics weren't really needed? I'm not sure which, but I really enjoyed it.
I was more intuned with her character this go round. Plus, the drama wasnt so angsty.

J-love was super trifling, and I wish she didnt fall for everyone saying alvin wasnt good looking enough for her image. But that she did, and now alvin and her arent together. I dont know if they will be in another book, and im not too sure if there is another book. Im not too sure how I feel about the age difference between them though. A 17 year old and a 21 year old are def in different places. She may have status but he's still a bit old. I wasn't too sure about that argument they had either, with him not wanting her to see j-love or w.e. he came off a bit to upset but could just be how I read it.

Im sooo glad she left the show. Wish she left sooner though, like in the last book when she was talking about abusive relationships and they told her to cut it out because they were so "digging for dirt" hungry. But at least she left. I think she realized that the type of person you need to be for a show like that was outta line.

But lovely book! I am actually excited for/want another book. This one really got me into it.
So thank you Reshonda!

This book had a nice twist from J Love. The Eye Candy was just that...good to look at, good to eat, but end the end it can leave you with rottenness. I enjoyed the journey through Maya's lovelife..... (I think one person was mentioned accidently...not one of Maya Morgan's men) Anyway..... this book is truly a good read. Tune in to "Rumor Central".
