"It had been over seven decades since the world had been officially at war. But 2017 was that modern moment where the forces of good, would again need to ally themselves to combat the forces of evil. And so it was, the United States and her Allies would do battle with the nation of North Korea. But this time, there was a twist. While the battlefields on the Korean peninsula were filled with the sights and sounds of modern militaries going toe-to-toe, much of the war was taking place on America’s streets."
Utter crap, a waste of a good few hours. Probably the worst statement in the book had to be that since almost everyone in American was the society had become very polite, which contradicts the extreme amount of mass shootings associated with more guns being available to just about anyone. The US started the problem by violating a foreign countries airspace resulting in a large scale war, and they came off as the good guys. Some of the actions by us military personnel seems more like fantasy than fictional reality.
Story line had promise , but the book didn't really deliver. Additionally some of the stories were very awkward and unrealistic.
Are we really meant to believe a solider walks into a steakhouse and it's instant chemistry with the waitress? Or the president shoots someone to put himself in the shoes of the common soldier? Very cliched
