I was fortunate enough to receive an arc for honest review by author and this is my point of view on her upcoming book Sunset Vibrations:
Cali grew up with money, privledge anything her heart desired except for love and acceptance. When she was sixteen she fell in love for the first time and became pregnant. Forced to chose between her unborn child and lover or her family she chose her baby and love. So she starts over and instead of having money and items she has unconditonal love and support and has never been so happy with her man at her side and baby tucked prtected in her stomach what more could a girl ask for. They decided before the baby came they were going to have a "baby moon" and enjoy the two of them before the baby arrived. Of course you know what they say about happiness, when you think you finally have it you lose it all, and she did.
Zev is the son of a MC President that he idolizes and doesn't ever want to displease. That doesn't mean it never happens, on a Harley rally he meets a woman and has a two week affair that at the age of eighteen assumes is love. He decides to stay behind when his parents head back home, he has met his womans daughter and has fell in love with her and has a family of his own to protect, until he doesn't.
A few years down the road Cali is working for a MC club's favorite bar tending to their choice of poison and dancing on the bar to entice customers...clothes on of course no stripping in this club. Zev is in town again, hates coming to this town reminds him of what he lost, but of course he is here to support his brothers. The bar is another place that they all go to for a beer and to catch up with each other and have some bonding time and sometimes pick up a bar fly. Then another club crashes their time and is looking for someone, unsure of who they are looking for Cali grabs her best friend and finds the scariest biker she can find to stand next to for protection for her BFF. Cali can fight and can take care of herself and when an ol' lady from the rival club starts talking BS to her girl Cali takes action which in turn has Zev reacting to save the girl next to him (Cali). So this incident starts an adventure Cali does not want to take and Zev is even less thrilled to keep themselves save from the opposing club and incident at bar. Neither of them trusting the other and being stuck in a cabin in the middle of nowhere, only one of two things can happen. They will either kill each other or take the anger and hurts of the past and turn into passion. They become closer through their ordeal and walls start opening up and they almost take that passion for each other and make it happen until they are interupted by a phone call that changes everything.
Months later things have definately changed Cali is now in charge of her fathers highly fortunate company and all finances and homes and cars...everythin. Zev is back in Hawaii running his bike shop. Cali takes a vacation running into Zev. Needless to say this vacation changes the plans of their future......Do not miss this book it truelly kept me captivated and couldn't put it down. 5 stars on review and thumbs up. For a new author she writes and tells stories like a seasoned author I highly recommend this book as a must not miss!

So I had the extreme pleasure to read this book before it was published and I must say I loved every minute of it. I was so great to get to see the characters develop over time. They were always strong and stubborn but this time you get to see a little of their sweet side. This author brings a twist to writing MC books and makes you feel for them as well as seeing them for themselves. Cali and Zev have faced hardship and overcame it. It took a lot of time and patience for it to happen. They are strong willed people but as a couple they are explosive!!!! I will admit there was times that I was swooning, laughing, crying ugly tears and happy. She definitely brings out the emotions in this book. This is a great debut book from a new author. I can't wait to read more about Zev, Cali and the rest of the crew in this series. This is a great MC book with real emotions. I loved every minute of this book!

I was given the honor of reading this before it went live. Let me tell us, what an awesome job this author did. I clicked with the characters from the start and the storyline was very good. Cali is badass but she also has a sweet side. The story had twists I didn't see coming. I laughed, and a couple times shedded a tear. I especially liked how each chapter was a different pov. I look forward to book 2 and any other books from this debut author.

This book is HOT!!!!!!! It has an amazing plot and the characters are sexy and sassy!!!! If like motorcycles, alpha guys,and sex than you must read this book. It blew my mind and I can hardly wait for the next one!!!!!

Cali grew up privileged.
Two parents though only one was truly a functioning parent.
Everything she ever wanted was there at her fingertips.
Until she needed support.
Understanding.
Unconditional love.
Those were the things her parents couldn't provide.
That's when they washed their hands of a 16yr old girl.
Cali would be alright, she had Kenner. Until one fateful night took everything she loved, everything she lived for away from her.
Cali's way of dealing is to shut down. Never let anyone in and become strong enough to keep everyone out.
Everyone except her best friend. She's the only one who knows the painful truth of Cali's life. And while she tries to get Cali to see what she needs is to move on and try to live again it's just not happening.
Cali has anger issues. Massive freaking anger issues, not I'm gonna throw something at you anger, she has the I'm going to go MMA on your ass kinda anger.
Enter Zev. He saves her life after she kicks the Pres' old lady of a rival MC's ass when she threatens her best friend.
Needless to say Cali doesn't want nor think she needs his help.
Zev doesn't need the crazy, mouthy chick he drug out of the bar. Why did he do it anyway? Because he doesn't want to see her dead.
Shortly after hiding her out he receives a call from his father, the Pres, telling him to where to take her. No questions asked he turns her over to people he doesn't know.
From there she's taken to Reno and Zev doesn't see or hear from her for months.
Now Zev has issues of his own. He comes from money as well but grew up in the MC. Women have always been drawn to the money not the man.
At 18 he fell head first for a girl with a two year old daughter. Only to find out she was like the rest, after whatever she could get. She was an addict and a whore, only wanting what Zev for what he could do for her.
Then he faces tragedy. Maddie overdoses leaving her daughter behind.
Fast forward 6 months after Zev handed Cali over she's headed to Hawaii with her best friend and they will see each other for the first time.
Things get hot. They get hot quick!
But the past is there between them.
Cali has finally decided to let the past go but it still haunts her.
Zev's demons are knocking at the door as well.
Can these two find the strength to trust each other with their worst fears, the horror of their pasts and what they have done to cope?
Love, love freaking love this book.
I loved the characters, I adored the story from beginning to end and absolutely cannot wait to read more of this series and more from the author.

WOW! Boy do I love MC books!!!! MJ Harty hit it out of the park with this one. It’s probably got a bit more romance/couple time and not as much biker, but it’s still amazing!!!
Cali & Zev….two extremely broken and damaged people. They are both on lock down with their feelings and emotions. With what’s happened to them, it’s their minds way of keeping it’s sanity. What will happen when they open up to each other? Can their relationship take it?
Cali had to make a very difficult choice at the age of sixteen. Still basically a child but due to her father she chose her boyfriend and the love of her life along with her baby. Her father disowned her and her mother was a drunk that barely knew what was going on. After a tragedy that shut her system down, barely going through the motions of living, can she find happiness again?
Zev was deceived by his first love. At eighteen, he fell in love with a woman and her two year old that eventually calls him daddy. Even though the woman has done something awful to him, he can’t abandon the little girl. The way he see’s it - she is his daughter. However, Zev holds a secret that he has planned to take to his grave. Can he trust Cali with this secret? Will she offer the unconditional love, acceptance and forgiveness he has been needing for ten years?
I loved this book. They are both so broken but such badasses on their own. I don’t think I have one negative thing to even mention. I can’t wait for the next one in this series! I hope it’s about “fucker”! LMAO Yes that is a character!!! LOL

The story of Cali and Zev.
Cali works in a biker bar in Wisconsin, when the town is hosting a biker rally.
Zev and his family come to the biker rally (his 'Pops' is the president of their biker club in Hawaii).
Trouble is brewing on this particular night at the bar, and Zev sees this small woman defend her friend with a death-defying martial arts move. The fight breaks out, and Zev goes into protective mode, stealing the woman away before she can get hurt for her actions (turns out she knocked out the 'bad' club's President's woman).
As only 'Spitfire' (a name Zev aptly gives her when she refuses to even give him her name) can do, she screams at him and takes off, not wanting his brand of 'protection'.
Bad ass biker stuff is going down though, and it becomes clear that Zev must protect this strange Spitfire of a woman. A bad storm, a LOT of alcohol, and the couple might have just started something they have to finish.
First off, the author does a fantastic job of describing the sights and smells and sounds of each environment - including the people.
I rarely find plots that have surprises (to me), and this one had several. Cali's expensive hobby, Cali's and Zev's pasts. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, the author floored me at the end with one last secret. WOW! That was when the book went from a 4 star to a 5 star for me!
I highly recommend this book. Plenty of hot biker guys, with tattoos and bad attitudes, and one woman that never backs down from a fight!

I gave this book 5 stars.
This is Zev and Cali's story.
Cali lost so much at a young age that she has built walls high around her heart. From afar she looks hard, mean and just plain nasty at times, but she just needs the right person that is going to show her that life is not all about loss. Zev has lost a lot in life as well. He has been hardened by lies and deception. When these two come together only because they HAVE to what is going to happen? Will they fight the attraction they are feeling or will they give in to the best thing that has happened to either of them in a very long time?
Zev is just what Cali needs. Someone who is finally going to see her for who she really is, but it's not an easy ride. It's tough for both of them and it's going to be a very long ride, but in the end it's going to be worth it for both of them.
I loved Cali's spunk and also her dedication to the people that she loves so much. She has this wall up to protect her, but she is such a beautiful soul that just needs some much needed love. Zev is a hot alpha male that has a heart of gold and to just look at him you wouldn't see all that he has to offer. These two together made me laugh, and swoon and just plain fall in love with them together. Thank you MJ for an amazing book!! I can't wait to read future novels from you. <3

This is truely a HEA book! This was really a great book, there is so much to this story and I don't want to give to much away, so here goes...
At the age of 16 Cali discovers she is pregnant. When she chooses to keep her baby, her father disowns her. At eight months pregnant she is in a car accident that kills her baby and the babies father. She is left heart broken and alone.
At 18 Zev, the son of MC Renegades president, meets a girl named Maddie at a biker rally in Wisconsin and thinks he has fallen in love. He disappoints his father who he idolizes and stays with Maddie and her 2 year old daughter Lacey who starts to call him Daddy. One night when Zev believes Maddie is out on a girls night she ends up ODing in a run down hotel. Even though Lacey isn't his, he still continues to be a father to her and she holds the key to his heart.
Ten years later Zev is back in Wisconsin at the yearly bike rally where he sees Cali put the beat down on a rival MC presidents old lady. Instinct kicks in and he grabs her and gets her out of there before she gets hurt.They end up having to leave the city together so that they are safe. The sexual tension between these two are of the charts.
Can Cali finally get over the loss of her boyfriend and daughter to finally move one? Can Zev open up and let secrets he has been holding out?
This was really a well written book, I felt every emotion that MJ was describing. It was heartbreaking, hot and sexy. Did i say hot? Yes people it has some pretty hot scenes. Can wait to read more about Fu#ker!!

As only 'Spitfire' (a name Zev aptly gives her when she refuses to even give him her name) can do, she screams at him and takes off, not wanting his brand of 'protection'.
Bad ass biker stuff is going down though, and it becomes clear that Zev must protect this strange Spitfire of a woman. A bad storm, a LOT of alcohol, and the couple might have just started something they have to finish.
First off, the author does a fantastic job of describing the sights and smells and sounds of each environment - including the people.
I rarely find plots that have surprises (to me), and this one had several. Cali's expensive hobby, Cali's and Zev's pasts. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, the author floored me at the end with one last secret. WOW! That was when the book went from a 4 star to a 5 star for me!
I highly recommend this book. Plenty of hot biker guys, with tattoos and bad attitudes, and one woman that never backs down from a fight!

Wow!! Zev, you totally took me by surprise and stole my heart!! Calli, you really are a true spitfire but so fun to read! I expected Zev to be a complete @$$hole (Calli's words exactly) and someone I'd have to learn to love, but not at all. He has a tough exterior, but I loved reading and picturing the sweet and loving side to him. Calli is a pistol and definitely belongs in the MC world to say the least and I can't wait to see what happens with her in the future once she is more involved in the MC world, especially since Zev is Vice President! This book is full of twists and turns, heart ache and love, and many demons!! Oh, we can't forget some intense sex scenes! The description for the Hawaiian scenes are so well written it felt like I could walk out my front door and be in Hawaii! Well done MJ! I foresee a turbulent future when Zev learns about Calli's prescription drug addiction, especially with his past history of it. Will Zev be able to handle it and help Cali overcome it? I guess we'll have to see what MJ Harty has in store for them!

I received this book in an event on FB. I promised to read it as soon as finished what I was reading at the time. Well that was just 2 days ago. I got engrossed in this book right away. Generally I don't read books with MCer's simply because the few I have read were very poorly written. Let me stand clear, this book was VERY WELL WRITTEN. I loved the story's that became intertwined with each other. Both characters have some big demons to deal with. Both have to find a way to let some one in, they have to learn to live, trust, and love. I won't go into detail of the characters or how they come to be. I hate spoilers and wont give them. I will say you will go on an emotional roller coaster with two broken people. I always think I will never let another dominate me, but if it were Zev, I just might think twice. 2 Hot Messes in a very tangled story. I LOVED IT! I did not want to put it down. Do yourself a favor and read this one. :)

As a debut novel this book was awesome! Many authors struggle with their first few books to find out who they are and where their writing will take them. This book isn't like that. The author did a great job with the characters and the storyline. Cali and Zev (whose hot by the way!) are the main characters who have faced hardships in their lives..that is until they meet each other. Zev is a biker (did I mention hot?) and Cali doesn't like to be touched by anyone. Cali was a young girl who fell in love and got pregnant, sadly things don't always go as planned and there was no HEA for her, that is until she meets Zev. Not to give away any of the plot, Cali and Zev are thrown together and the passion that ignites is too hot to handle. If MJ Harty's first book is this explosive, I cannot wait to see what she writes in the future. This is one author I will be following closely.

Wow! I loved Sunset Vibrations!! This book is one hell of an emotional roller coaster ride. You will have a love hate relationship with the characters. While reading this you will experience many emotions, such as, pain, sorrow, love, lust, hate, loss, death, and many more. I couldn't put this book down! Such an amazing read! I loved the characters, the story line, and the fact that in this book there are harsh realities the characters must deal with. A must read for all!

The Aloha Series will take you for a ride .. an emotional roller coaster. Two people who are fighting their pasts but not really living their lives until they find each other. And in each other they find something that just might be worth living for. Zev is a take charge VP biker while Cali doesn't take lip (or touching) from anyone! Together they're explosive! I can't wait to read the next book in this series!

This MUST READ story will have you on the edge of your seat wanting more. In fact you'll be craving more by the end that you don't want to rush the reading anymore. As fast as I read this story I hated that it came to an end now I'm only hoping fore more fine as hell Zev and sweet and tough Cali. This is one story that you wont be disappointed with.

Amazing!
I absolutely fell in love with MJ's book. I usually don't go for MC romance books, but my mind is changed with this book. Sunset Vibrations pulled on my heart strings from the beginning all the way through to the end. A wonderful story of healing, letting go and living again. Amazing book!!

I have to say I was a little leery at first of this book, because I’m not normally interested in new age romance. However, once I started reading I couldn’t stop, I was in thralled with it. It has a great story behind the two main characters that shows why they became the people they are. I would suggest this book to any romance lover.

Needed more
Don't get me wrong, I loved it but I wish there was more story instead of going way ahead.
I loved how the big motorcycle bad ass actually has a heart and cries, to me that's a real bad ass man not afraid to show his feelings.

I loved this book. I loved the relationship between Zev and Cali, how they both suffered and overcame it all. It made me laugh and it made me cry, I can't wait until the next book.

Can they survive on the run with too much alone time?
Sunset Vibrations is an excellent read by a first time author. The unadulterated heat between Cali and Zev builds into an uncontrollable inferno. This book has everything.
