If I would have known then what I know now. If I would have known that having my heart broken at thirteen by my one and only friend, Garrett Rhodes, would never compare to the empty feeling at sixteen when I buried my mother. If I would have known that changing schools in my senior year would throw all that back in my face. Maybe … just maybe … I wouldn’t be in the hell storm I’m living in these days. Letting my past dictate my future, allowing the best of the best male MMA fighters bully me day in and day out and knowing no matter what I do, Garrett will always be the only man that understands me. I didn’t have to live this way. One day changed the course of my life forever. Through all this mess, the one thing that I’ve found that keeps me centered … martial arts. And I’m damn good. If only someone would give me a chance to prove my worth. All I can do now is make the best of it and try to not let the fight consume me. Or has it already?

Ashley Suzanne has been writing as long as she can remember. As a youngster, she was always creating stories and talking to her imaginary friends. Thankfully, her parents also carried this love of fiction, and helped her grow into the writer she is today.

Ashley is a bestselling author and spends equal amounts of time writing and reading. Being the true book whore she is, Ashley would rather dive into a good book before going out of her house. Giving up her career in Real Estate, Ashley has officially moved to hermit status.

When Ashley isn't coming up with her next story, you'll most likely find her on the couch with a kindle in her hand (probably watching some crappy reality show while , annoying her husband by telling him all about her new book boyfriend or spending quality time with her two gremlins ... Sorry, I mean adorable children.

You can find Ashley on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and/or her blog.

This is my first Ashley Suzanne read. I.AM.IMPRESSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

She can write, that's for sure.

"Sometimes, you have to go through the worst to get to the best."

Rian "Raven" Fields.

A friend, a daughter.
 Fearless, stubborn and supremely independent.
A fiercely loyal woman.

Her namesake, synonymous with the life she has lived.

At the age of twenty-one, Rian has lived a life that most people has never seen in any one lifetime. Heartache at age thirteen, physical abuse, suicide and regret at sixteen. Family, Love, Intimacy and Loss at seventeen. Hatred and REVULSION. She has lost everyone near and dear to her. Being alone, dependent on herself and only herself, has only, slightly, eased her pain, but her suffering endures the test of time.

Garrett Rhodes, a military brat, Rian's one true love. After being separated at the age of thirteen, they reunite at the untimely suicide of her mother, at the age of seventeen. Their short time together is spent falling in love, testing the endurance that is their friendship, learning and teaching each other. Becoming soul mates.

"We're the ones who are gonna make it- we're forever."

"We'll create our own world. A place where nothing else matters but us." Garrett

Now this is why I love and I mean love Garrett Rhodes. After Rian confesses her darkest secrets and regret to him. His response is:

"Baby, this isn't even love. It's so much more. The feelings I have for you go far beyond what most people will ever experience in their lives. When God created us, he cut us from the same mold, always a part of one another. I'm never going to let you feel that kind of pain again if I can help it."

Swoon ladies, eat this up.

Rian's horror, strikes again. This time, knowingly. Garrett enlists into the military, a right of passage, an honor. Rian loses Garrett at seventeen to the military, to time and distance, she loses him......

At the same point in time, her aunt and guardian, Elaine, her mother's sister, dies. Rian is left feeling desolate and alone. Garrett is away, there is no easy form of communication. She has no one she trusts enough to confide in and to console her.

The pain, the torture, the loss..........

she runs.... to save herself.... to start over...... to endure.....

Four years later, the "Raven" soars to new heights and in turn she lands right in Garrett's lap.

Seeing each other after so many years, has brought back all the pain and heartache they both tried and worked so hard to bury.

For Garrett, the nice guy he was, died, the day she ran, the day she decided he didn't deserve a Dear John letter. For years, Garrett and his mother looked for Rian. Even with the death of his father, they searched, still hopeful. Resolved to the fact, she didn't want to be found.

For Rian, she never loved again, it was casual sex to numb her deeper desires and the blinding pain of regret, all because of her selfish actions.

"And I still tremble
When we touch
And oh the look in your eyes
When we make love" Tim McGraw - My Best Friend.

"You're more than a  lover
There could never be another
To make me feel the way you do" Tim McGraw - My Best Friend.

Garrett thought her to fight. For herself, for him and for their life together.

"This raven's found her home."

************
There is not enough words or ways, I can think of to express my thoughts and feelings over this book. Utterly amazing and it did render me speechless at times. Garrett, you are my all time book boyfriend. I routed for you all through this book, jumped with joy, felt you heartbreak and sorrow. Your love and friendship, ultimately your undying loyalty to Rian.

Cheers to soul mates and true love.

This is my first Ashley Suzanne read and also my very first review as a blogger with graphics and quotes. Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.

A raven. A bird that’s content on being alone, prefers it actually. Most people think the raven relates to a bad omen, but that’s not the case. She gets by easier knowing the only one she needs in her corner is herself.”

##I won’t lie and pretend that I loved this book because it would be dishonest. It kind of fell into the “meh” category for me and felt off kilter from my normal reading preferences. Maybe I’m just being a tad hard on it but I felt no connection whatsoever and had a hard time getting through the story. I’m sure others will object to my statements but these are just my personal thoughts and opinions. Take what of it at your own will.

She did it again everyone! Ashley Suzanne has a way of making you think you know WTH will happen and BAM...she pulls the dang rug out from under you, rolls it up and hits you with it!!
Let's just say she got more then one Grumpy Cat picture for me!!!!!

We first meet Rian and Garrett <------Good lawd he's a HAWT one ladies! Prepare yourself now! You will need my fan and possibly new panties after meeting Garrett!! Rian and Garrett are best friends. Garrett is really the only person Rian has ever trusted in her life. He's her security, her rock, pretty much everything to her. The worst possible thing happens Garrett's Dad gets transferred to a different base leaving Rian all alone, and things get far worse for her from there! My heart broke for her! She endured pain like no other. A stepdad that is a loser and a mother that won't stand up to him is what Rian is left with. Always bring the outcast until Garrett came into her life was all she knew. She was left once again alone, and feeling more lost then ever before.

As time passes and a HUGE event plays out that I can't say Rian is forced to move in with her Aunt in another town. Just when Rian thinks things couldn't get any worse there he is her best friend Garrrett <-------again I'm keeping him!! Ashley has already signed him over to me! He stole my heart!! Gah! I have no words!! Ok--back to my review...so as fate would have Garrett and Rian are reunited and yes it feels that good! Lol! You will see ;) I was so happy for them!!! Buuuuuut.......

Remember that rug that I mentioned?! The one that Ashley likes to pull out from under me and beat me with?? Well, she does it!! Don't worry I messaged her about this! I love all her books, but after Mirage I don't trust her one bit! She knows this and laughs....laughs I swear it! She loves it. <------- LAUGHS at me!! Lol

Rian is faced with more pain, and again I can't say! Read it I promise you will want to know what happens! I loved these two characters! Also Rian's Aunt Elaine plays a huge part in her life. I connected with her immediately. This book isn't all sugar coated and a fairytale. It's down right heartbreaking at times, but that's real life right? Sometimes we have to fall, or in my case get that rug pulled out from under us to get back up and try it all over again! Rian will have you cheering her on as her crazy, but beautiful journey unfolds. You may wonder where does the term Raven fit? You will get that answer too.

You will laugh, cry, cuss Ashley, laugh again and want more of these two! Garrett is book boyfriend worthy for sure!! <-------I'll wrap him up and swaddle him in a blanket!! He's hot, protective, loyal, and under all that tough exterior he's a big teddy bear!! <-----get my fan!!! Gettin hot up in here! 91,000 degrees!!

I give Raven 5 HUGE shiny stars!!! It's amazing! You must meet these characters and love them the way I do. Oh I almost forgot there might be a Richard Simmons reference in it for y'all! Lol! Now go get this on June 25th!!!!

Ashley Suzanne you are the BOMB DIGGITY! What ever Ashley Suzanne writes it's an instant 1 - click for me. I started this book last night at around 1130 and finished it 3 hours later. I refuse to give anything away as I think that's would made it extra special to me because I had no idea what it was about going into it.

The prologue captivated me from the very beginning and it just flowed beautifully. Ashley just has a way with words that always leaves me squeeing. I will say eventhough I knew it was a standalone going into it, I was waiting for the big " im gonna drop a big bomb and make you gasp and want to throw your ebook at the wall" moment that we all love to hate about Ashley's stories. For those of you who have read her very first book you know what I'm talking about. I'm happy to say that she changed things up with this one. It was a sweet easy read and I loved every second of it.

On to the heroine, Rian was a beautiful soul inside and out and I loved her from the beginning. I could really identify with her and it just broke my heart the cards she was dealt. But boy is she a fighter and that's what I love about her.

And Garrett, let me just say Yummy! Holy Guacamole! He is definitely book boyfriend material. What I loved the most about his relationship with Rian is that it was so honest and genuine. You just know they are soul mates from the very beginning. Their relationship didn't seem rushed or forced. It felt real.

This was without a doubt 5 stars for me and I will forever be a fan Miss Ashley. It's safe to say if she wrote a story about pigs flying I'd read it and love it.

what can I say about Raven other then WOW! Ashley Suzanne has written such a fanfreakintastic book again! Rian is a female character that I just wish I was like she is just that bada $$. But her life was not an easy one, she had alot and I do mean alot of sh*t happen to her. Then there is Garrett her rock who she knew would always be there. But everything goes from good to bad to good to worse. That's life though right, which is another reason I truly find this book to be so fantastic, it's not your typical romance there are ups and downs and times you will cry and be like why oh why did that have to happen? This is what drew me into the story the mishaps. Let me tell you though this story has got it's hot sexy scenes and the will make you tingle. This book is a definite MUST READ and on the 25th get your one clicker ready Raven will knock your socks off!

I was provided with an ARC from the author for my honest review and I honestly think 5★★★★★ isn't enough! Read Raven you will LOVE IT!

Let me start by saying I have been in one big fat book funk lately, which is ultimate hell on a blogger. But this book…This book I couldn’t put down. This book brought me out of that funk and held me in its grasp. I began reading and couldn’t stop until I was done. It was that good!!

There is absolutely no way that I will be giving anything away though, you will just have to wait to read it for yourself. Raven was such an easy read for me it flowed beautifully. I loved every single word of it. I never once skipped over or thought “hurry the hell up already.” I was held captive by this story.

Rian bless her heart endured more than any one young woman should ever have too. She endured though and she came out the better for it. Garrett is definitely book boyfriend material and I loved him. Ugh this is so hard to do because there is so much I want to say but refuse to ruin the least little thing.

Way to go Ashley you get 5 HUGE AMAZEBALLS Stars from me!!

HOLY AMAZEBALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this novel, and I am sooo happy I got a chance to read about Rian and Garrett. I completed this book in 2 sittings... could not stop reading at all. Through the book I found myself wanting to be Rian, she is just one bad ass chick! Rian's tale is encouraging, she has been through SO much and just kept on fighting. There were times where I found myself wanting to cry at things that were happening and then wanting to yell at my kindle. It was a wonderful emotional roller coaster and I am thankful for it. The story ended just how I would want, nothing would change in my eyes.

Fantastic, wonderful, and AMAZINNGGG read!

I was provided an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. First of all, Ashley Suzanne.... I love you hard! This chick is an amazing writer and I love anything that she shares with us! On to Raven. Raven tells us the story of Rian and Garrett, childhood friends who reconnect. While Garrett is not an overly complex character in my opinion, he is more than swoon-worthy. He's the right amount of sweet and Alpha. Rian' s development is amazing to experience. You ugly cry for her, fist pump with her and you wanna hug this girl hard when it's all said and done. I could go on, but I don't want to reveal too much! In short, I loved this book and you will too!

WOW I love this book, I was sucked in from the prologue! Ashley has done an AMAZING job with Rian and Garrett's story. She has a way with words that make the emotions so real and feel as if you are in the story.

There honestly could not have been a more perfect title for this book than Raven. A heroine who just like a Raven has to rely solely on herself when tragedy after tragedy happen in her life (I don't want to give an spoilers away as to what all happens). The only one she can ever count on is her childhood best friend Garrett and unforeseen circumstances that cause them to drift out of each others lives, but are destined to be together.

Wow. This book is beautiful. Rian, the heroine, is really something else. At times I wanted to throttle her and other times I admired her. She does not have it easy, but thankfully she has Garrett. This story will take you on a roller coaster ride. You will smirk, you will cheer, maybe fist pump, and probably ugly cry. There were some twists I didn't see coming, and I'm usually very good at predicting plot twists.

This is the first story I have read from Author Ashley Suzanne, and I will definitely be reading more of her books. I would recommend this book to someone looking for a very well-written love story of people who have some pretty big obstacles to overcome.

This was the first book that I have read from Ashley Suzanne. I am not disappointed. The book flowed so well and I really enjoyed it. Rian went through so much while in high school, I felt so bad for her. Garrett is the perfect book boyfriend. Tragedy never stayed far from Rian. I won't give any spoilers, but get this book when its released. Its a great read!

I love when i pick up a book and realize i MUST finish it all in one sitting or i might just die. Raven was that book for me! As soon as i started it i couldn't put it down, it was such an incredible story.
Rian... oh Rian. She is such an amazing person for the crap she has been dealt in her life. I wont go into any details because i don't want to spoil anything. I'm pretty sure i cried through out the entire book. It was such an emotional roller coaster with an amazing message.
Garrett... Gah GARRETT! I don't know what to say about him except he is the total package in a book boyfriend. Seriously he is a sexy beast with a heart of gold who loves Rian with everything in him no matter what happens or has happened in their lives. He is just perfect!!
I can not say enough how much i LOVED this book. Its was just a freakin fantastic read. I highly recommend this to everyone and if i could force you all to read it i would. IT IS AMAZING. Ashley Suzanne hit it out of the park with this book. Seriously i could talk about how incredible it was all day. Just go read it.. NOW

I was given an ARC of this book to read by Miss Ashley Suzanne. I was not disappointed. If you have read Ashley Suzanne's Destined series, you should know that this book is nothing like those. It is a romance but it's a bit darker of a story. Rian (a.k.a. Raven) hasn't had an easy life. I mean, really, the girl just can't catch a break. Due to this, she has some issues. She also has Garrett, her best friend/soul mate to help her through her tough life. As in all things though, life tends to get in the way of romance. Their story is a sweet one and definitely worth reading. It is a standalone book that reads quickly. I finished it in about 6 to 7 hours. There are some very steamy scenes in this book but they take a back burner to the love story itself.

I absolutely LOVED this book!! It's not your typical romance story and had a ton of things going on!! I would definitely call it a page turner! And everything was so well developed for being a stand alone. These two go through a lot! And you can't help but share all of the emotions of everything they experience.

Ashley has become one of my favorite authors to read (loved the Destined Series) and will look forward to anything else she writes!

Rian was never like the other kids. She had a boys name, hippie clothes and a non-traditional mother. The other kids gave her hell until Garrett, an army brat, moved into town when his dad was stationed there.

Garrett and Rian are inseparable until he has to relocate when his dad gets stationed elsewhere.

After Garrett moves away, things change for Rian. She tries to change to fit in. Her mother get married to an abusive drunk. Things are definitely going in the worse-off direction. Although she continues to face painful obstacles, Rian is a fighter and never gives up.

Later, Rian and Garrett meet again, but fate cannot decide if it wants them to end up together or not.

For those that get tired of the whiny females and are looking for a strong female lead, Rian is for you. I love how she defends her mother.

For those that are over the instant multi-orgasms and are looking to read a realistic sex scene, I think you will be happy also. The first sex scene of the book is perfect in my opinion.

Ashley sort of gave us a sweet boy and a bad boy in Garrett. He's definitely someone we can love.
My vaginal spicy-sense tingles with every move he makes.

I know when I need a good book I can count on Ashley to not fail me. I went in reading Raven going this seems a bit different then what she normally writes but hooked from the beginning. It's about Rian who has a lot of things happen at a young age that would make any person go crazy. The things she has to see and things that happen to her. (you will understand what when read don't want to give to much away) Then she meets Garrett new boy to town outsider like her and they just clicked.

"We're not just a little while kinda thing Rian. We're the ones who are gonna make it- we're forever." -love this line so much has so much meaning being highschool graduating and so much ahead that they couldn't prepare for.

It's years later when Rian is trying to figure out who she really is. She walks into a gym and her life since that day has changed so much. The challenges ahead to leave to prove to herself who she is. Little did she know she would have harder time with Garrett childhood sweetheart who she denies her feelings for. Raven was such a great read and I would definitely read this over again and want other people to love it just as much as me. Ashley has yet to fail me just love her writing.

I received an arc of Raven in return for a honest review with no spoilers.

Ashley Suzanne blew me away with The Destined Series, but Raven is incredible.

Raven is the new stand alone novel by Ashley Suzanne. It took me a couple of days to write this review, because I finally realized I was in the middle of a book hangover. But not the emotionally, crippling kind I've experienced before. This one was from being captivated by Rian & Garrett from page one. Rian is determined to have a better life, even if it means she only depends on herself. Garrett is sexy and confident and not afraid to get what he wants. Raven is about life, friendship, love, loss, forgiveness and second chances. Every life has it's ups and downs, and Ashley does an amazing job at capturing those moments.

It's no secret that I cry when I read a heart wrenching scene, and believe me the tears flowed freely. The emotional journey Ashley takes you on with Rian & Garrett is well worth the trip. I can't wait to read it again!

All I can say is Ashley hit it out of the park again with Raven!! I couldn't put the book down. I'm always amazed at how talented Ashley is at writing and you won't be disappointed with this book. I instantly fell in love with Rian and Garrett and the friendship and bond they have. Although several circumstance come between them, they always find themselves back together again. This book has heartache, love, romance and tragedy. This should DEFINITELY be on your TBR list!!!!!! Bravo Ashley you did it again,...

Ashley didn't let me down with this book, I didn't know what to expect next. I started the book yesterday evening and read till I couldn't stay awake any longer and my eyes hurt, barely sleeping to get up ASAP to finish.

Wow, words can not describe how amazing this book is! I don't think I can do this book justice in a review, but I'll definitely try.

If you're looking for a story that has it's ups and downs, a forever kind of love, and a little bit of suspense, oh and maybe some hot sex scenes, then Raven is the book for you!

I have loved Ashley Suzanne since the moment I read Mirage, and each of her books since then have gotten better and better, with Raven being her absolute best! I mean what is there not to love about the oh so sweet and oh so sexy Garrett?!

In Raven we meet Rian who has only ever had one friend, her childhood friend Garrett, who moved away when his dad was re-assigned army bases. During their time apart, Rian decides to try to fit in and when she comes home from school one day to get her cheer leading uniform everything changes, tragedy strikes and she is sent off to live with her aunt. Her first day of school she runs into Garrett... OMG I LOVE THIS MAN! And they quickly start up the friendship they had before and then it turns into way more. Problem is, Garrett has decided to join the army after graduation and Rian is so upset about this, but determines anytime with Garrett is worth it, because she loves him so much.

While Garrett is away at boot camp, another tragedy strikes and Rian is left all alone, that same day she gets news she doesn't want to hear, and decides life would be easier if she just left. Four years later we find Rian a completely different girl than she was, but still with anger issues, but now an addiction to sex. When something happens the person who comes to her rescue is the one she never thought she'd see again. I loved this part of the book. A. the reason she ends up needing help was quite hilarious, and b. who it is that helps her.

As things progress we see Rian and Garrett try to become friends again after so much hurt, and so much time apart. I love these two together and I absolutely LOVE Rian's character, she's strong, and she's hilarious, but she has her guard up. Garrett, oh Garrett, so freaking hot, such an amazing guy, and absolutely 1000000% in love with Rian. I loved his character from the beginning all the way to the end of this book. He is just the end all and be all of book boyfriends!

This story is absolutely amazing, and one that you will not want to put down. I devoured this book even though I had other things that needed to be done, I just could not put the Kindle down! Ashley Suzanne has out done herself and she is absolutely amazing in this book. If you haven't read any of her books, start with Raven, you will not regret it. This book is definitely one you do not want to miss out on, it is absolutely amazing, and even has some of that Ashley Suzanne twists in it that you want to strangle her for, but end up loving her for by the end of of the story. This book is a stand alone so you don't have to wait to see what happens, and the ending is beautiful, I couldn't have asked for a better ending for this story... well maybe if Garrett would have met an awesome girl named Chrissy and ran off into the sunset with her, but hey, that's for another time ;)

Go add this one to your TBR list now.. don't wait, get this book as soon as it's published, you will love it!

5 Fantastic Stars
Review by Allison East

So this is my first Ashley Suzanne book *ducks and hides in the corner* and certainly won't be my last. It was fantastically written, with well developed characters. And it had a lot of my "criteria" for a five star!

1- Steamy- check and check! Rian and Garrett's story is hot, hot hot!

2- Emotional- again, totally the feels- I mean all the feels- and I couldn't even begin to start another book right after this one.

3-Character development- nailed this on the head, not only did they both start out kind of wonky teenagers, but over the course of the story, and because of their lives- it started to change into this amazing ending. Strong, loving, beautiful characters.

4- Love lost, and love found- one of my FAVE books to read is when the H/h find each other when they are young, and fall madly, deeply in love with one another, and something irrevocably tears them apart, like in Raven, but then miraculously, they find each other again!

5-NO CLIFFHANGER, not that itâ's a deal breaker when I read a book obviously, but it makes me happy when a story I read comes full circle and you aren't left hanging.

6-And finally- HEA, all the crazy ups and downs and roller coasters that this book has, praise Jesus, Rian and Garrett get their happily ever after!

Rian has a serious case of bad luck. It wasn't always that way- when she was younger, and her mom was single and on her own- she lived a carefree existence, going along with her mom's hippie lifestyle- and it was a good life. She also meets a really great friend-Garrett when she was 13, only to get him ripped away from her when his Army dad moves away to a different part of Kentucky (I love that this is set in Kentucky by the way, because I'm from there!)

Then the hits just keep on coming, her mother marries Tom, everything changes, the light and sparkle in Rian's mom's eyes just dwindles and disappears all together. Four years later something really bad happens between Tom and Rian forcing her mother's hand- and the consequences are devastating for Rian.

"Sometimes, you have to go through the worst to get to the best."

After yet another shocking event happens to her family, Rian is swept away to Corbin, Kentucky from Lexington- and on the first day of school she meets Garrett again! And boy how he has grown. Sigh, like the perfect book boyfriend for sure.

After they date a little while- Garrett confesses to Rian that he has made a decision that will affect both their lives. Rian is obviously crushed but will not let that ruin what is left of their time together.

"We're the ones who are gonna make it- we're forever."

Then like Lemony Snicket and the series of unfortunate events- another one befalls Rian, and she looks to Garrett, who is away. She receives a letter from him stating he will be gone another six months, and almost a little bit selfishly flees Corbin and moves back home ready to start her life over, alone, much like a raven would.

Four years pass again, and we see more changes- changes in Rian for sure. Great developemental changes- absolutely. And I love the direction the novel shifted in from there. Fantastic writing again. About Rian's new life alone, and how she is doing. And the way Garrett comes back into her life and how it has changed him (can I say Alpha male, panty melting hottie???)

You will not regret reading this book, you need to do so ASAP, and then thank me later after you are finished. I don't lie with the five stars, they are golden!

Rian has to be one of the most bada&& female characters in a book that I've read so far. Rian knew even from a young age that she was different, an outcast. She spent her young years being bullied because her mom is a hippy, bullied for the way she dresses, bullied for her boyish name. Until she meets the new kid in town, Garrett. Her days become brighter because at the end of the horrible school day, Garrett was always there waiting. Until Garrett's Army dad got transferred to another base and they had to move away. At 13, Rian was heart broken and experienced her first big loss.

"...Everything that's happened in your life has led you to this point..."

At 16, Rian's life suffers more hardship and tragedy when she loses her mother. Rian's life gets completely turned upside down when she has to move and go live with her Aunt. But little does Rian know that it will take another turn when her childhood friend Garrett walks right back into her life.

"...My raven is for me, not anyone else. It's a symbol of being able to be on my own - actually enjoying being alone..."

Just when you think everything is slowly coming together for Rian, she suffers more tragedy in her life. And she is left alone and struggling with how to deal. She does the only thing she really knows how, she spreads her wings and flies.

"...I've proven to myself that I can do anything. In just a few short moments, my most important fight erases the one from so long ago. It's such a freeing feeling..."

Will Rian finally have a chance to put her life together? Will she finally find her place in the world and her own happiness? Or will she just lock away her feelings and get by? What will happen when after years Garrett walks back into Rian's life again but she finds that sweet country boy is not the man he is today? Will Garrett let Rian back into his life at all or is that door closed for good? Will Rian's world come crashing down again or will she continue to spread her wings and fly?

"...This is my life and this raven's no longer content with being alone and flying solo..."

"...This raven's found her home..."

Ashley Suzanne has done it again! She has completely swept me away on an incredible journey full of so many ups and downs, twists and turns, that I sat on the edge of my seat and could NOT stop reading until it was done. I love Rian! Her strength, her courage, she moves me. I cried for her while reading even though she didn't. And Garrett, oh sweet baby Jesus, he has made his way into the top rankings of my list of book boyfriends. Yes please, I'd like to place an order for my own real life version of Garrett. Oh Ashley Suzanne, you are brilliant! You completely floored me with the twists in this book and at the end, well NO spoilers, so I will just say absofreakinglutely
amazing! I wish I could give this book more than a Nerd Alert A+++ or 5 stars, they are just not enough! This is a MUST read this summer!

Holy Moly(Insert curse word instead of Moly, Stupid amazon) This book was AMAZEBALLS!!!!! I love Ashley Suzanne's books BUT this one may just be my favourite. At least A joint second with Mirage. And I never taught one of her other books would get me like that one.

Now this book is sooooo different to her others! It does have heart break though. My heart broke a few times while reading this book. BUT if I didn't get all emotional it wouldn't be an Ashley Suzanne book LOL!

This book tells the story of Rian(LOVE that name) and Garrett. Two people who are destined to find there way back to each other. Rian come's from a hipy-esk back round. Her mam is all about flowers and flowy skirts. That's okay with her, she loves her mam and its who she is. Its not until she marries Tom that things go down hill Fast. She taught her mam would finally be happy.... She was wrong. And she is going through all of this alone as she lost her BEST friend a few years ago. No that person didn't die, It may have felt like it. But Garrett was very much alive. Been an army Brat he was mad move about. So one day he had to go. Leaving poor Rian to deal with High school and everything else going on in her life alone. That is until something heart breaking trusts Garrett back into her life. Silver Lining right???

Garrett can't believe he's eyes when he see's her. Even after years of been apart it feels like yesterday since they last seen each other. Best friend's destined to be more. WELL he's actually not taking no for an answer in that one! It may or may not take someone to ask Rian out for his intentions to be made more knowing...... BUT only because The truth of how he feels could've walked up and smacked Rian in the face and she still wouldn't have realised his feelings LOL!

"We're not just a little while kinda thing Rian. We're the ones who are gonna make it- we're forever."

This is just ONE of the many AMAZING things to come out of Garrett's mouth in this book. He is all kinds of hot in this. And YES he is only 18 a teenager and I may be 20*Cough cough* BUT if he wasn't fictional Character I would be all over his like white on rice! Teen or not LOL!

But just because they have finally found there way back to each other doesn't mean its gonna be plain sailing. Some things have already been set in motion. Some plans can't be changed. I don't and I won't say more because I loved all the shocks There was while reading. I may have hated Ashley a little bit, BUT that's normal right? LOL!

This is most definitely a five star read! It would be Criminal to give it anything less as it has everything I love in a book. AND Have you seen the cover? Pu-lease I need a 'caution wet floor sign' near me just for that!

I for one cannot wait to see what Ashley Suzanne does next!

I received an arc in return for an honest review ,,, here goes

This is a standalone and is Rian and Garrett's story

We have a guy that's shifted from place to place being a son of career military man he hasn't ever stay in any one place for very long ,,, he meets a girl when they are still kids but needs to protect her from the get go ,,, he has always been someone that just fitted so no matter where he went he would always make friends ,,, but this girl was more than that ,,, until once again he had to relocate ,,, leaving her behind

We have a girl that's being brought up by just her mother ,,, her free spirited mother ,,, she was happy and loved her mum ,,,, she never really fitted in at school and was picked on ,,, until one day a new boy started ,,, he protected her ,,, she felt things for him ,,, but then he left ,,, she was alone with the bullies again ,,, she has a tough time when her mum remarries and finds herself attending a different school only to meet with her one and only friend again ,,,, years apart but yet like it was only yesterday they last saw one another ,,,, but the are older now :)

Life throws a few curveballs at these two and they have found themselves separated a number of times ,,,, but it's as though they are on a bungee cord or something coz they manage to find one another ,,, but after so many years is it too late? Have their lives gone into different directions?

Rian has built up some deep seeded strength that gets her through her course in life ,,,, the rage from within sees her begin to get a focus on where she wants to be ,,, but this can all so easily be stripped from her in one night ,,, will she keep that flame burning within? ,,,, will she see that she is allowed to be happy? ,,, will she stop pushing those closest away? Or will it all be too late?

I loved this book i love the fire within Rian ,,, she has had some awful stuff happen but it's made her into who she is ,,, everyone she loves leaves in one way or another and she becomes the Raven ,,, but Garrett captured her heart the first time they met as kids and she never managed to get him out of there ,,, we all make mistakes in life but not all of those mistakes can be taken back ,,, but they will make a difference to the future ,,, life has a plan and all the good and bad stuff happens for a reason

Highly recommend this book to you all ,,, you'll fall in love with these characters and they'll capture you :)

Rian Fields has had a lot of bad things happen to her. She lost her mother when she was a teenager, being sent to live with her aunt. Her best friend when she was in middle school moved away, leaving her with nobody. Rian Fields believes that she is meant to always be alone.
That is until she finds her childhood best friend once again at her new school. Finally admitting their feelings for each other, they try a relationship, only for Garrett Rhodes to join the army three months later.
Skip ahead four years. Rian is once again alone. She sleeps with random men to try and fill the hole inside her. Finally, she finds something that will allow her to relieve her frustration. Everyday she is able to let go for a few hours, taking her mind off of the things she so desperately craves: love, sex, and just someone to be there for her.
I love Ashley Suzanne. So much. Her Destined series was fantastic! But, I honestly think this is the best book she’s written. I simply have no words for it. I screamed at it, I almost cried… almost, it’s hard to get me to cry at a book. This novel is filled with twists and turns that will make your head spin. In a good way, I promise.
What I’ve realized, after reading her Destined series, is to always expect the unexpected. I knew that something was going to happen, something I wasn’t going to expect. But I had no clue what it would be. And it happened! And I messaged her right then and I said “You did it again.” That’s the thing with Ashley Suzanne. You will never see what’s coming.
I loved the relationship between Rian and Garrett. I think they were perfect for each other. They had this love that you could feel coming out of the book, dragging you in. It was sweet, really. Perfect for this book.
Ashley Suzanne gets five stars from me! This book is absolutely mindblowigly amazing. You have to read it!

I am a huge lover of Ashley Suzanne! Since the moment I read Mirage and may or may not have been PM'ing her with "death threats", she has held a place on my Kindle and her characters have held a place in my heart. So it pleases me to no end to say Raven is, by far, her best work yet. I love a good boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy finds girl again love story but Raven is SO much more than that. It is emotional and raw and gritty and ugly and beautiful and sexy and a whole lot of other things. I could seriously go on for hours about how amazing this story was.

Rian (Raven) is a girl who has been through more heartache in her short life than anyone should go through in 10 lifetimes. She has seen so much loss and experienced abandonment and it has seriously messed with her ability to love and let people in. As a result, this girl is tough as nails and looking for an outlet for all of this anger.

Garrett...dear Lawd and sweet baby Jesus on a cracker...what can I say about Garrett?? First of all, I am married to a Garrett so I think that made me love him even more. He is everything a man should be...protective, gorgeous, sexy as hell and he loves with everything he has.

"We're not just a little while kinda thing, Rian. We're the ones who are gonna make it-we're forever."

SA-WOOOON!! I could go on and on about how much I love him but I think you probably get the point and you deserve to experience the awesomeness that is Garrett all by yourself.

Do yourself a HUGE favor and one-click this amazing book today! You won't be sorry and I promise you will love it! You can come back and thank me later ;)

First off, Can I just say... Holy hot cover. This cover is amazeballs, anyhoo..

My love for this book started with the synopsis. I read it and then said OMG I need this book ASAP so when I got the sign up for the tour , it had to be fate right?

Garrett and Rian are the best of friends. They are always there for one another and always keep each other grounded. As far as bff's go, they are perfect.

Garrett suddenly has to leave town, as in move away. Without Garrett there, Rian is all alone. She has nobody else. My heart completely shattered when he had to leave her but this ladies and gents, isn't even the half of it.

Rian (after some time) has to move in with her aunt. A new area, a new beginning. Until she comes face to face with the one person she has always loved.... Garrett. That's right folks. She moved to the same town he lives in.

The chemistry is back. Almost instantaneous with those two. They have a connection so strong that even as a reader, could feel it.

"We're not just a little while kinda thing, Rian. We're the ones who are gonna make it - we're forever"

Just when I think things are perfect. I get completely sideswiped with the chain of events that happen next. I won't ruin it for you (of course)

This book was fantastic! It draws out every emotion possible and has you constantly wanting more. The characters are so very easy to fall in love with. And Garrett is HAWT!!!
