Pride and Prejudice meets Draco/Hermione fanfic? Say less. I know that fanfics aren’t for everyone, but when a trusted source (aka Jamie B Golden of Popcast fame) tells you to read one, you do it. She hasn’t steered me wrong yet. I loved this, it was so fun and well done. I was easily immersed and taken back to the world of Harry Potter, while also able to follow the P&P parallels easily. It was really an excellent reimagining, my complements to the author.

I will say I give this like a 4.7/5 stars, simply bc while it was a slow burn, the realization that they cared for one another seemingly came out of nowhere.

That being said, I did appreciate that they were honest about their feelings & that this was so sweet & happy & fluffy & made me feel all the things!!!

Draco is daddy always.

The relationship with Astoria was cutie.

Love The Meadows & the Muggle Integration Program.

This is a good fic! Pride and Prejudice x Dramione mashup. Harry creates a plan to form a new quidditch team in London and is looking for investors. There is definite miscommunication in this fic, though it’s done very well as it didn’t make me want to pull my hair out quite as bad as that trope typically does lol. Would re read! Draco doesn’t feel super true to character after the beginning because he gets very sweet and caring for the plight of the many which is great but I’m used to reading him as a grump to everyone but H at best. Aunt Lucretia was also a wonderful original character, and Astoria being much younger and a “ward” of Draco’s was also a fresh twist which worked great!

Bridget Jones’s Diary is really the only modern P&P retelling that I absolutely love. I had high hopes for this Dramione take on it and I did love some of the character reimaginings/replacements (Ginny and Harry combined as Jane), but disliked others (Mrs. Weasley as Mrs. Bennet). It was very creative but maybe too much of a stretch to try and fit it all inside the P&P mold. Also, the romance happened much too early on in my opinion and there were waaaaay too many spicy scenes for me that I had to skim through.

Okay overall - cute! Too long and too much smut that was somehow the same every time. I really enjoyed most aspects of it but I think maybe this should’ve been more “based on” like Bridget Jones Diary, less trying to fit these characters into the plot and molds of the original story. This made me want to immediately go watch the 2005 adaptation though so mission accomplished? And vintage car, piano playing, omelette cooking Draco - ✅🫡

I wanted to love this book and I did enjoy it but it definitely wanted for an editor. I was distracted by some P&P beats being so dead on and others not (which is a me thing not this book thing). I also don’t like Ron as an “arse”. I’m fine with them not together but I don’t like him as a heel. Or Molly as an idiot.

Loved this fanfic. It was a contemporary romance without the Voldemort storyline. Perfect palette cleanser. Loved

I like my slow burns slowwww, where they only get together (emotionally or physically) after the 50% mark (70% it's👌)

This H is my least favourite
In the end I feel that she doesn't deserve D. She didn´t grovel enough, imo
