This story reveals the growth in the lives of Irene Troyer and her brother Daniel. Irene moves from reading romantic stories to writing her own, frustrated by the lack of romance with her potential match within the Amish community. Meanwhile Englisher Sebastian stimulates her emotions, but her faith would prevent marriage to him. The outcome is not revealed in this story, so I'm looking forward to finding out more in the next episode! Daniel is experiencing some of the temptations of life with Englishers, but also some of the disadvantages! Devotion to his family and faith leads to unexpected bonding with seemingly unsuitable friends to aid their combined community. A sweet read.
I received an ARC from the author, but my opinion is given voluntarily.

Binding Faith, Wandering Hearts

This book lacked much of what I expected in Grace Lewis’s writing. Characters were not developed enough to form a true connection with them, and the story line contained elements that did not seem plausible nor were brought to any sense of completion. For me, it was a disappointing read.

Lots of things going on

So many threads ran through this story, but I guess I was disappointed that Irene’s story didn’t end at all. Daniel is stretching his legs but appreciates his Amish roots. I appreciate that this is a crossroads story, not a happily ever after.
