Tess is the bookkeeper at the Cat House. She loves working with numbers and has mad skills.
In one night they are robbed of over $20,000. Seals, Inc. is called in to investigate. Ranger doesn't believe Tess is involved. It was very good.

The Cat's Meow covered the bases of nearly all of my favorite things in romance genres. I got my hunky Navy SEALs although the hot main character in this novel is an ex- Ranger. I also got a little bit of a psychic element from the guy's wives who can read aura's and see pictures of your thoughts. This adds a huge comedic element to this book. I also got a strong female character with brains! And another biggie is danger. Someone has to be rescued. Don't let any of the above deter you if you hadn't read any of these books before because I hadn't either but I'm fixing that right now by buying the other 4 books in the series. Yes this book was THAT good! We first meet Tess Michaels as she is coming in to work as book keeper, to pick up last nights take and deposit it. Tess has the amazing ability to count numbers in seconds, add totals faster than a calculator and recall any number from any date at any time. Her boss, the owner of the club, was happy to take her on. When she gets to the safe she discovers it has been emptied. Someone has robbed the very lucrative strip club. A call to her boss sets in motion a thief becoming more desperate when he brings in SEALs Inc to investigate.
Matt Brooks the newest member of SEALs Inc investigations fit right in with all the other former Military men, being a former Ranger himself. His first assignment is finding out who robbed the club. He goes undercover as a bouncer and no one at the club other than the owner knows who he is, not even Tess. When Matt first lays eyes on Tess he wants her. He ends up saying incredibly stupid things and can't seem to stop, but she lets him get away with it because he was honest. And unbeknownst to him she is wrestling with her own libido. They get together for coffee and budding relationship is begun... but she doesn't know who he really is.
When the club is hit again and all the evidence is pointing at Tess red flags are going up all over the place. Why would she need to steal from the club when she comes from an extremely wealthy family and she has an unbelievable wealth of her own. This also raises more questions that need to be answered. Making it even harder for another theft things begin to heat up. Matt and Tess are also making this hot as they explore their attraction amongst all this chaos. Not everyone is what they seem. Can they be caught before someone gets hurt?
What I loved most about this book was that Tess and Matt didn't jump into bed immediately and they didn't fall in love easily. It was it was not love at first sight, they both had to work for it. This book makes a great stand alone and if you never read the other 4 books in the SEALs Inc series this will make you buy them just so you can read how Hawke and Rachel, Max and Cameron, Holly and Brett and Claire and Shadow fell in love. You get a little snippet in this book that makes you NEED to read their stories. They are all so funny reading the wives talking about them. You will want to go back and catch up just like I am doing! You don't get lost for not reading them that is the best part. The only thing I hated about this book was that it ended. I absolutely loved it and I can't wait for another book in this series. I want to find out how every one is. This is a book I will recommend.

The Cat's Meow by Mia Dymond was a good novel to read which although keeps you guessing the "who done it" it also features a romance between the Cathouse's book keeper and the ex Seal who comes into investigate the robbery. I have read other Mia Dymond novel's before but none of them were like The Cat's Meow. Romance is in abundance but there was not as much "hot and bothered" as I expected especially given the title: The Cat's Meow.
Tess is the Cathouse's book keeper and at the beginning of the book we find her arriving at work to find out that there has been a robbery, with all of the money from the safe missing. Tess is a loving, down-to-earth woman who you will be able to relate to on most levels. When she reports the theft its then that she meets the hottie ex Seal; Ranger. Their relationship begins is passionate and in places quite hot but it didn't quite fulfil it's full potential, becoming predictable.
Ranger (Matt Brooks), the ex Seal, who sets Tess's blood on fire is new to the team who come in to investigate the theft and there is some deception as he doesn't tell Tess who he really is at first. Both characters are strong in themselves, in personality; especially Ranger as he is very opinionated and feels that he can tell Tess what to do - big mistake! His feelings for Tess hit him quite quickly from the start but staying undercover starts to become a problem..... Can they move past that and work out who took the money?
The characters who surround the two are a laugh a minuet and had me giggling like mad in places! they truly had brilliant personalities which complimented Tess and Rangers, supporting them.... All together they do discover who the thief is but I am not about to give away any spoilers here!! there are quite a few unanswered questions left at the end of the novel which I would have preferred to have known the answers to it may have rounded the entire novel off as a whole.
Overall the Cat's Meow is an easy to read novel that allows you to be distracted by the storyline but does not pull you in fully. I have not read all of the other Seals novels so if I had maybe I would have a different opinion of this novel as a continuation of that series. Even so I have read other Mia Dymond novels of which I have really enjoyed fully enough to 4/5 star them!

This was a very enjoyable read, that does keep you guessing as to who the bad person is. It starts off with a bang and ends with one. This is the 2nd book I have read my Mia Dymond and it will not be the last. She knows how to write a story that will keep you interested why keeping the excitement going. With names like The Cat’s Meow and Cathouse I thought this would be more of a sex book. Oh there is passion but there is no trash at all. It is just a wonderful read about two people falling in love why trying to find out who took the money. You will find some wonderful character here with outstanding leading ones.
Tess is wealthy and doesn’t need money but she does the books on the side for the Cathouse. Her adding up numbers will have you in awwww. Tess is just a sweet loving woman if you weren’t told she had money you wouldn’t know it. She is a down to earth, caring and giving person. The story starts off with Tess going to work and finding all the money in the safe missing. She calls her boss and he brings in his team to investigate. She meets Ranger and sparks fly, he is a hottie with a body to die for.
Ranger is a hot ex seal, he is new to the team and a total mess as in hot mess. He is attracted to Tess from the start. He stays undercover and they have a little head butting when Tess finds out. Ranger is really a sweet man who is very bossy. He has to learn to take a step back and let Tess take the lead some.
Neither is looking for love but the attraction is to strong and with someone out to get Tess, Rangers protective side comes out. The whole team and their wife’s are something else, I had a few laughs and a lot of chuckles. The whole supporting cast is outstanding, from mind reading to emotional reading. This book is packed with action.
I would have liked to know why the person who took the money took it. Yes they needed it but there was never a reason given as to why or how they got into the mess they did. For me it wasn’t enough of problem to down star it. The story has an outstanding plot with wonderful characters. This is my second book by this author and I liked it a lot. It has suspense, cute funny female lead and hot sexy male lead...muscles, tattoos and sexy smirk included.
I really likes Ranger and Tess's characters. Ranger is everything a hot sexy male lead should be. What was even better is that he was respectful towards Tess and always honest. I liked Tess and the fact that she didn't let her wealth and status cloud her head and personality. She was a great female lead. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was because I felt that there could be a little more to the story. Don't get me wrong it all played out great, but I did figure out who the culprit was pretty much right off the bat.
This book is written in third person and usually I have a hard time connecting with stories written in third person. But this one give us multiple third person POV's and it wasn't confusing. Which I really liked.
If you want a quick, sweet, sexy and a tad suspenseful read..then you should check out the SEALS, INC. books. This is my first one of the series, but I am sure the others are just as satisfying.

This was not what I expected at all.. BUT I loved it!!!

This is the first book that I have read by Mia.
I can say that I was not disappointed.
It had a little bit of everything in it.. Suspense that kept me guessing and wondering the who done it. The sexy Seal, the beautiful woman with BRAINS!!! This is a story about falling in love, it is not trashy at all. I thought it might be and I was a little scared to get into it. But Mia is a very talented author who starts the book out with a bang and ends it with one!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!! I will for sure be reading more from Mia from now on!! Thank you for giving me the chance to review your book!! <3

Sad, Little Rich Bookkeeper and Hot Alpha Male
Every book in this series has been hot and steamy with hot alpha ex_seals. Tests is a rich girl working as a bookkeeper for The Cathouse, a gentleman's club. She is whiz with numbers. The Cathouse is continuing to be robbed, and people are starting to think she is doing it. SEALS, Inc gets called in to investigate. Ranger is a new member of the team and falls for Tess. Ranger is one hot, sexy and protective alpha. Ranger and Tess are great together. They are a funny and sweet couple. Another wonderful book in the series by a great author. A must read!

This book can be read as a stand alone, however I do think it would help if you read the other books first to get the other characters histories.
Its a sweet book that it very clean and has a great mix of friends and partners.
Tess is a math whiz and socialite and Ranger is the newest Seal Inc member.
Both fall into instant lust at first sight, however I loved that they kept you guessing as to who the villian was. The only negative point I would have is that we were not given any reason as to why the crime was committed.
A great read.

Tess comes to work to find out that the safe is completely empty and someone has robbed the Cathouse. Ranger is part of the team who comes in to investigate. There is an instant attraction between the two, but he is holding something back from her. While investigating the theft and getting steamy with each other, they will have to work through a few things including that deception.
Who doesn't love a story with an ex-SEAL and a good mystery? I really enjoyed this one. Tess and Ranger are so good together and I loved the friends that surrounded them in their story.

I've read a few of this authors books but none in this series. I'll certainly be wanting to read the previous books in this series to read more about the great characters I met in this book. I didn't feel as if I was missing any of the story having read this as a standalone.
This is a really great read about Ranger & Tess falling in love. I really liked the storyline. It was a really interesting 'who did it' story.
The main characters were great and I also loved the secondary characters. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

When you read the title of the book, you think "okay, this isn't what I was thinking" but once you see a sexy seal on the cover and you automatically wander what is behind that cover...BUT....when you start reading the book, well holy crap you glued! This book with grip you and keep you turning the pages. Mia Dymond is a very talented author and gives her readers just enough to keep coming back for more!

really great reads, plenty of laughs, well written with engaging characters ... kickass male & female leads - books 1 & 2 were my faves but i loved them all. read the series back to back and will def read more from this author soon
