A book of poems created around her fan’s suggestions from the instagram prompt “write a piece about”. The artwork was a fun addition to tie together the poems and themes.

This was a unique poetry experience for me. Jessie Reyez inspired herself to write by requesting prompts from her own fans. This was a wonderful connection to see and to literally witness art inspiring art.

Words of a Goat Princess Vol.2 is another type of love note. It’s also very conflicting. Some pieces are short and sweet, some are silly and funny, others are as deep as the rivers Jessie has swam in.

I enjoyed this, but also felt a lot of different feelings at the same time. This is not a book to rush through. Honestly most poetry books aren’t. But this hit a different way than I can articulate.

A book of poems she wrote based on responses to her Instagram prompt "write a piece about". Her writing is always moving & thought provoking - even when the prompt for the piece is random. Very cool idea for a poetry book, even better execution!

Jessie poured her heart and soul into this. Small Prompts that lead to insightful and powerful messages.
