Does he have his claws in her for good? Or is she just yanking his tail?

Elena Demos’s life has been turned upside down. Her mother has passed away, leaving Elena and her two half-sisters to deal with their mother’s will and the crazy stipulations it contains. For the three sisters to inherit the substantial amount of money left behind, they have to go to work with two aunts they’ve never met in a family business—Amazons Inc.—they known nothing about. If that isn’t bad enough, Elena runs into the man who once broke her heart, and it’s only their first day on the job.

Gage Ivanov is a stupid beast. He let the woman who should be his mate go because she couldn’t be told of his Other identity. Now Elena’s back, but she refuses to give in to his demands for her to be his mate. The timing for all of this couldn’t be worse, either, because Gage and his circle of friends are trying to subdue a rogue pack of wolf shifters in Germany who threaten to out the Others to the world of humans. Will he be able to juggle the oncoming conflict and win back his mate?

Elena is not a girly girl. I like her all the more for it. Gage is an alpha type shifter who is not afraid of a little fun but who initially isn't looking to settle down. When these two meet, Gage knows Elena is a potential mate but thinks he can just get her out of his system and move on. Well, things don't quite end up like that.

The story is cute and funny at times. It's sexy and has some action. However, it stayed pretty "middle-of-the-road" for me personally. There wasn't anything that really grabbed me in the same way there really wasn't anything to dislike.

The plot was ok and opened up the possibility for some future stories that peaked my interest. It had diversity and branching plot lines but I felt there was a lack of true detail and depth within each line. The romance was ok.

Character growth was present but faster with Gage than Elena. Up until the end, I found her slightly immature though improved.

Safety: It is unclear if Gage was with someone during the separation as it was not mentioned at all but I assume Elena was based a vague statement that was made. It was on audiobook so I don't quite remember the wording.

Just finished! It was freaking awesome and I'm already salivating for book three!

"What says 'I love you'? A flamethrower"

Oh My Freaking God! This book was so fabulously awesome I don't even know where to start! I read BBB for the first time a while ago and then again more recently when I knew WOTSS was going to release so I could refresh my memory. Both times I was left wanting Gage's book immediately! Normally I'm an impatient person, but I have to say, this was totally worth the wait! Jessie Lane has outdone herself! I laughed my ass off, I cheered, I swooned, I got all hot and bothered and I was, yet again, left wanting more! Gage Ivanov is one seriously hot, alpha, stubborn kitty! And Elena Demos is the puurrrfect woman for him! I am a huge fan of the strong female lead who can take care of herself and doesn't need a man to swoop in and save her. Elena was that and so much more. She didn't take (too) much crap from Gage and she (attempted) to give as good as she got. What! He is a shifter with mega strength, that was the only reason she didn't take him down! Well, that and the handcuffs ;) Elena also has a sense of humor to go along with her steel demeanor. Her 'presents' she left for Gage at his house were freaking hilarious! Her extreme fear of spiders was so funny and so relatable I cringed right along with her. One of my favorite parts was when she got so pissed that nobody believed that scary bastard was stalking her! Well, Elena, I believed you! LOL The ongoing story of saving the the leader of the Corvus Pack was well continued and I was glad to see old friends from the first book. The writing was again superb and I loved all the characters. JL has created a paranormal world that I love reading about. I fall in love with each character and crave more about them all! WOTSS was exactly what I was hoping it would be. An awesome story for an awesome character. I really can't wait to read the next book and see what's gonna happen next!

Okay. I really liked the first book in this series, even though it was a bit heavy on the setting's details. The bitchy, bad-ass heroine was something that I totally dug because I'm so sick of the females being whiny prima donnas. So I was over-the-moon excited about this book, and Jessie Lane didn't disappoint.

The details on the character's settings were dialed back to just right, the characters were humorous and fun to read, and although there wasn't a lot of action compared to the last book, what was in there was well-written, graphic without being overly so, and relevant to the overall series.

Elena is quirky, ballsy, and intelligent. Gage is a typical, alpha male who has a sense of humor...and who the hell didn't love Babushka last time? I was so happy to see more of her insanity with American lingo!

This was a fun read with some steamy parts thrown in and I can't wait for the next book!!!

Oh. My. God! I lmao throughout this entire book! The spider! I loved the spider scenes! bwahahhhaha!

You get a lot of back story on Gage and Elena before it jumps in where Big Bad Bite leaves off. You have to understand their past to understand their anger when Elena and her sisters come into the scene at the end of BBB.

Of course, there are bad a**, female warrior, kick-all-your-a**es scenes in this book. Loved it! You thought Jenna was crazy? Psh, wait until you meet Elena and her twitchy eye! lmao!

Gage was so damn fine with his dominant sexy man talk. Whew! If I wasn't allergic to cats, I would want this man.

The story of the Corvis pack continues, Lulu is in high water, a character turns out not to be who you though they were and then a new mystery comes to play in the final pages. I can't wait to see what happens next!

It took a long while for me to warm up to this hero, if I ever did. Every little thing he did just pissed me off and his superior attitude thinking he knew best had me wishing for his slow death. I know years ago this was a big trend in romance books. Hero breaking their heroines heart assuming it’s for the best yadda yadda. I don’t think anything pisses me off more than this trope. I hate when people make decisions for others and never once consider the other sides thoughts or feelings. Sure enough this guy breaks the heroines heart just as she realizes her hardened heart has actually learned to love. For two years they are separated (no mention of ow or om) until a case brings the heroine back into his life. Low and behold the supernatural restrictions (in his mind) keeping them apart no longer mattered as much since her and her family have been found out to be more than just regular humans. She may not be a shifter but she’s descended from Amazons and has a badass military record to back it up. I kinda liked the heroine especially her love of weapons. Honestly I wasn’t sure if the hero ever would have went to find her again if she didn’t come back into his life. Sure he claims he was about to come to his senses and has been suffering since but umm 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ Then after all that time he says he’s going to prove himself to her and he just handcuffed himself to the heroine and declared himself hers, carting her everywhere, even the bathroom. I would have stabbed him, repeatedly!! 🔪 I usually love the concept of mates and shifter romances yet early on when the two first meet the hero claims to have met a few ‘potential mates’ over the years but he’d never wanted to settle down. I guess I’m more of the romantic sort who in regards to mates believes there’s only one per person, that’s it, no potential mate b.s. This just made an already unromantic relationship piss me off because when they first meet up the hero’s goal was to screw her and leave her anyways, get her out of his system. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I dunno just not all that romantic if u ask me, hot and spicy at times sure but the hero still deserves a few junk punches in the end if u ask me.

Elena Demos lived her life with one firm rule, never fall in love. She was anti-monogamy which had been ingrained in her by her mother since birth. As aggravating as Gage Ivanov makes her, Elena finds herself breaking the rule and ready to declare her feelings that is until she overhears Gage and his candid opinion of her.

Two years later Elena is still pissed and when she learns the truth about her family, she finds herself in the path of Gage again and revenge could not be more sweet. However, she did not expect Gage to claim her as his mate and go to extremes to prove it to her.

Very fun, the sisters in this are a hoot. Elena is a tough cookie and she has a way with words that has you chuckling aloud. Gage is pure alpha, even if he is a dumbass in the beginning. Can't wait to read more in t his series.

I'd give it four and a half stars if I could! I liked the first book Big Bad Bite so it was no surprise that I really liked this one as well.

First of all, you have shifters, hot Alpha males, a snarky, sassy, kick a** heroine who has a hilarious extreme fear of spiders, more laughs than any book has a right to give, awesome chemistry and banter between the characters, lots of steamy sexiness, some suspense, romance, and lots of action (both kinds!).

There is a good bit of necessary character development and back story. This book could stand alone really well but I would recommend reading the books in order. Don't miss a moment. Seriously!

Some of the characters are zany to say the least. If you've read BBB than you know who takes the prize. If you haven't, you are truly missing out! Gage is the typical Alpha male with a good sense of humor thrown in. Elena is smart, sassy and just right for Gage. ;-) Even if the two of them don't always realize that.

These two had awesome chemistry. If I was a feline, I'd have been purring. Oh baby if only Gage gave lessons! ;-)

There is something for everyone in this book. Well maybe not everyone ~ those with very bad taste, people who don't like books or shifters, and people who are extremely prudish or don't like to laugh will most definitely NOT like this book. If you don't fit in that category (and I really hope you don't) than you should purchase it post haste! Don't put it at the bottom of your tbr lists, put it near the top if you don't purchase it today. :-)

I declare this book to be even better than Big Bad Bite. I love, love love it and I can't wait to read more about the wonderful, kooky, charismatic characters that Crystal and Melissa (aka Jessie Lane) concoct. This series seems to be on a non-stop, one way track to fantasticville!

I received an ecopy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. It was Terrific! Great! Dang near Purrrrrfect! I really liked it. Really!

I really did love this book! It is probably the best shifter story I have read in a long time. There may be some possible mild spoilers (I try to be vague) in this review, so keep that in mind if you continue.

The characters were so entertaining--even the secondary ones added a lot to the enjoyment (I thought the h's sisters were hysterical, especially when they were together!). I also loved the H's brother--I hope all these characters get their own book!

Gage, the male lead, is a great possessive alpha who messes up BADLY with the h, Elana, who is a really great strong heroine, in the beginning of the story. Does she take him back right away? Nope, he actually has to WORK at it! Yay! The author uses a good combination of "I'm a big, bad alpha who is your mate and you are MINE, and tender words and actions. I never think a good grovel is long enough, but Elana really held out much longer than heroines in other books!

I really like the author's writing style. Very enjoyable dialogue, just enough description, funny moments sprinkled through in just the right places, very interesting action/ suspense, and super spicy intimate scenes that I felt were well done without going overboard.

The ending is more of a HFN--but a HEA is implied. There is no epilogue, but a set up for the next book which contain a different couple. I hate cliffhangers, but this didn't bother me. I am looking forward to the next story!

I've recently made the acquaintance of a darling little phrase "flip her sh*t". I am enchanted. However, like anything else, overuse results in fatigue and if the author uses it ONE MORE TIME, I will completely flip my sh*t. XD (>.<)

Towards the end of the book, "baby batter" was introduced as well. And then used... (I'm not actually gonna count this, but I'll estimate...) at least 8 times. In around 10 pages. The thesaurus is your friend!! It loves you!!! *Use* the thesaurus.

And then, the typos, dear God, the typos... Yeah, they were also way more irritating in this book.

Now, let us discuss the plot holes. There were many. Let us never speak of them again.

So, what *did* I like about this book? There were several amusing parts. It took my mind off of things. I want to read the rest of the stories.

I sleep now.

I am going to be in the minority here as I was not blown away by this book. For me a romance novel is either made or broken by the heroine. In this case I found the heroine Elena to be way too aggressive for my taste, she came across as a bully. There was nothing soft about her and I just could not like her the entire book.

I was also not a fan of her interactions with her sisters, the constant bickering and the physical fighting was simply ridiculous, theses where grown ass women behaving like 8 years old and there was nothing adorable about it. I did not see any affection between the sisters except for Delta and when the held hands to walk in for the reading of the will. Even in the lawyers office they where bickering!!!!.

There where a few things that for me where left unanswered, did Elena go to the witch to tie her life force with Gage's?. I wanted to see more of a relationship with the aunts and how did they take the news that they are Amazons and that there are Others out there and how did Elena find out that Gage is one?.

Although I had a few issues with this book, I did want to finish it as I want to read Chloe's story.

I'm a sucker for tiger shifters and have been ever since Shelly Laurenston hooked me on them with "Here Kitty, Kitty". I chose to read "Walk on the Striped Side" before the first book in the series to place a new-to-me author at an advantage. It was a good decision.

Gage Ivanov (quintessential shifter/elite ops soldier) finds his mate in Elena Demos (Marine MP/weapons expert), but rejects her because she is human, and they remain apart for two years. No biological imperative forcing the mating issue adds one of a few interesting twists to this particular shifter romance. The story also contains the very desirable elements of steamy passion and humor which cemented my enjoyment.

I wish Gage had "shifted" more in the book and dislike the reasoning behind Gage's rejection of Elena, but I actually liked the book and its interesting differences so much that I plan to go back to read the first in the series and will check out the next when it's published.

In the interest of full disclosure, I did have the opportunity to beta read this book before publication. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed my read of WOTSS.

The chemistry between Gage and Elena is obvious from the get go. We get a glimpse of their history, then jump forward to today. They have a run in because of what Elena now does for work and something that happened with Gage's sister, Lulu.

Elena is awesome. She is a kick ass woman from a big family of kick ass women. Gage is, well ... a tiger. So he is used to being pretty much the biggest and baddest thing in the room. So it is hilarious when she puts him in his place. And the things he did to prove his love for her were a bit extreme, but it fit his personality to a T!

Overall, Walk on the Striped Side is significantly better than Big Bad Bite, and this series is building to be a go to for PNR fans!

Now this book right here was a real treat!
God! it was fabulous!
Absolutely loved it.

Every damn thing was spectacular.
From the trigger happy Elena to the immortal kittykat Gage.
oh and the freak Alec ;) =P

plus everything in between.
I love the sarcasm, the smart ass commentary.
The bond between sisters that was real and not,

"No, i love you more. Sisters for life. xoxo" sissy crap.

and i especially appreciated how the world did not revolve around just our fav couple but centered on their interaction with family, friends and the love of their lives.

Loved this book! The main couple was great and I loved their personalities separately but wow I loved their relationship!

I especially love the respective families! Elena's sisters were perfect - cannot wait to read more about them!

And from the first book I was crazy intrigued about Gage and his brother Alec (didn't get to see much about Lulu). And now I am super excited to learn more about the Russian Tiger shifters!!

Super excited about reading the next in this series!

Too much sarcastic banter between H/h or between family . Got annoying though some of it was funny. Author was trying too hard.

Too much inner dialogue dragged the story down.

I liked the story. Sex scenes were erotic & hot.

3.5 Stars.

I really enjoyed this story, when it didn't stomp all over my inner feminists toes.
I would honestly give it a full 4 stars on the pure kick ass power that is Elena, but while I love a strong h, it doesn't make some of the the things Gage did ok.

Favorite Quote:”I’ve decided the civilian world can’t handle all the awesomeness known as me.”

Elena Demos is having a terrible day. Her mother has passed away, her sisters are getting on her nerves, she’s just found out she is descended from Amazons, and in order to get her inheritance she has to join the family investigation business. But things are looking up because her first case is involves proving the sister of the man who broke her heart, is a murdering hussy.

Tiger shifter, Gage Ivanov, is a very stupid man. Two years ago he drove the love of his life away because he couldn’t tell her about his supernatural side. Now she’s back and surprise, surprise…she wants nothing to do with him. But Gage isn’t a quitter and when it comes to his mate, he’s willing to do whatever it takes to get her back.

With a pack of rogue wolves threatening the world and trying to keep his sister out of the the nine circles of hell, Gage will need to break out the big guns and maybe some handcuffs if he wants to save the world, his sister, and the only woman he has ever loved.

Fans of outrageous, snark filled, sexy paranormal will enjoy Jessie Lane’s latest release-Walk on the Striped Side-book two in her Big Bad Bite series. A lightweight paranormal filled with lots of action, sarcasm, threats of bodily harm, and that’s just in the first few pages. Heavily character driven, our hero and heroine go balls to the wall as they fight their way through love, loss, reconnection, and annoying siblings. Per usual, Lane offers the reader a crisp, fast paced writing style that flows smoothly through the story. Humor, action, and romance all mix together for a laugh out loud story that keeps you hooked to the very end.

I did feel that this book is considerably lighter than the first one. World and character set up featured prominently in book one, while in here the romance claims a larger role with smaller sub plots to help round it out. The action here is less pronounced and the structure is looser which presents some small problems with its overall presentation.

Elena and Gage are hilarious together and apart. A slightly psycho, revenge seeking, grudge holding strong heroine matches perfectly with our slightly stupid, take what you want, overly alpha caveman tiger shifter. The story starts out in the past and we learn the hows and whys behinds Elena and Gage break up. Though Gage’s reasons are valid, you still want to smack him for how he choose to end it with her. The story then shifts to the present and the battle of the wills begins. Elena is NOT a forgiving girl and she lets Gage know that he is one bullet away from becoming a throw rug. Gage, bless his heart, is determined to not make the same mistake twice and does everything he can to convince her he loves her and will never leave her again. Elena doesn’t trust him though so Gage resorts to trickery to get his mate back into his bed and his life.

What makes this story so entertaining besides the crazy protagonists, is the past characters who merge into the present storyline with fantastic results. Alec, Gage’s man whore brother, offers up lots of laughter with his narcissism and useless love advice. Babouska, Gage’s grandmother, and her inevitable murder of the English language leaves you in tears. “Hole of ass” *snicker* Elena’s sisters are unpredictable in their behavior and have absolutely no boundaries. The NC pack is also present and accounted for…making trouble and laughing at you while doing so. And the spider…OMG…the spider.

What I really enjoy about this series is that while you have a very sexy physical romance and a solid plot line, there is no heavy emotional angst involved. The series is written to be over the top in all aspects. Misconceptions are cleared up in relatively small timeframe and the heroines are always given a choice, not forced to accept the hero. Non stop action and crazy antics keeps this series fresh and addictive. I did have a problem with certain aspects of Gage’s behavior. His obsession with getting Elena back had him crossing the line a few times and it made me uncomfortable.

The conflict flows over from book one but is only a very small part of the storyline. We aren’t given any additional clues to what the rogue wolves are up too and the resolution is immediate; not long term. I wish there had been more focus here. The ending wraps up nicely and we get a small excerpt concerning the hero and heroine Lane will be torturing next in book three-The Demon Who Loves Me. If you enjoy your PNR funny, snarky, and witty, then be sure to give Jessie Lane’s Big Bad Bite series a try.

When Gage first met Elena she was an MP and more than willing to go toe-to-toe with him, a superior officer. A Siberian Tiger shifter like Gage isn’t used to meeting many females who would challenge him. She might have his tiger intrigued, but as a possible mate, he knew her frail humanity was something he didn’t want to get involved with long-term. So after a brief but very satisfying affair, Gage pushed Elena away–hard.

Two years later, the heartbroken Elena is back in his life and this time, Gage isn’t going to let her walk away. All he has to do is get her to forgive him. That might not be such an easy task, but that’s okay, because Tigers are patient hunters, and he’ll do whatever he needs for as long as he needs.

Elena is shocked to find out about the supernatural community that lives among humans, especially after learning she took one to bed for six months. More surprising is the fact that she and her sisters are descended from actual Amazons. When their mother died, they took over her position in the family bounty hunter business.

Revenge is sweet and one of their first assignments is to bring Gage’s beloved sister to the Demon Council to face charges for murder. Elena doesn’t care whether Lulu is guilty or innocent, she just knows bringing her in will torture Gage. She’ll show him that she doesn’t care about how he tossed her away, if only her heart and body would listen to her brain.

THOUGHTS:
The Siberian Tigers were the stand out characters of Book #1 in the Big Bad Bite series so it was a great idea to focus the second book on brother, Gage. Elena and Gage were both strong-willed characters and they worked well together. I loved how Gage hand-cuffed Elena to him to force her to deal with him.

There is a definite improvement in this writing team since Book #1. The characters didn’t flounder this time and there was a nice blend of the romance with the continuing storyline of the shifter problem in Europe and the new storyline involving Gage’s sister which will continue into the next story. Their last book seemed to be working desperately to come off as erotic and it simple came off as being desperate. In this book, the natural spark between Elena and Gage caught fire all on its own. Elena was more warrior than princess and she was never forced into high heel and bustiers. Gage saw her bravery as its own aphrodisiac and knew how to dominate her without forcing her to be submissive.

And the “stalker spider” was hilarious, proving that no matter how badass a woman can be, spiders can still freak us out.

The next book is Jenna’s partner, Kent, who was another great character and Elena’s sister Chloe, who is the princess of the family. I am looking forward to a story about Gage’s brother, Alec. I can’t wait to see the woman who will bring him to his knees.

I would highly recommend this story to anyone who likes a good paranormal story.

Why:
I had the opportunity to read the first novel in this series: Big Bad Bite
http://proserpinecravedfor.blogspot.c... and I loved it! In addition, the author Jessie Lane also offered me the chance to read another novel, Secret Maneuvers http://proserpinecravedfor.blogspot.c... which is not a paranormal romance, but I still loved it, and even blessed! So I didn't resist when the opportunity was presented to me to participate in this blog tour!

Expectations:
Since I enjoyed the first book of this series, I expected at least that this one would be as good. I must admit that I really liked Walk on the Striped Side, but probably not for the same reasons as Big Bad Bite. I often feel that the first book in a series is always the best and often the author is repeating the same schemas with different characters in similar situations. However, the author Jessie Lane surprised me by directing the reader on the personal side of the characters in this adventure.

What Stood Out:
The personal aspect and the depth of the relationship between the main characters which are Elena and Gage are what stand out the most to me. The main plot is based on the interpersonal relationship of these two characters. In addition, Elena is human and Gage is a tiger shifter, the main problem between them is the fact that humans can't be aware of the paranormal world that surrounds them. The author managed to bring together Elena and Gage in a non-traditional way and out of the ordinary. I loved it!

Favorite Character:

Five star for Babushka Ivanov, she's so funny! Elena Demos is a rather intense character! She and her sisters are pretty funny in their own way and I enjoyed reading their salty trade! Elena is a very strong and intelligent woman. The reader will quickly identify with her psychologically. What woman does not dream of being splendid, indomitable, strong and be a possible mate to a male shifter?! I usually don't like female characters that are in the military because I often feel they are impaired and they end up needing a man to save them ... But this is not the case with Elena. She kicks a lot of ass!

The End:
The end is very surprising; in fact I wasn't expecting it at all! I finished the book without realizing it, believing turning the page on a new chapter and well ... not! Finally, Jessie Lane leaves us with an open ending with strange revelations, unsolved problems and the promise of a third book with more sexiness, demons full of stamina and maybe crazy vampires!!! Everything is there to let you mouth-watering on the third book that needs to come out real fast!

I recevied this book for an honest reviews.

O.M.G.!! I loved book 1 but this book kicked book 1's butt allll over the place!! OMG I fell in love with Gage in Jenna's story but seeing him fall in love was amazeballs!! Seeing a player get his butt kicked is a great read!!

So We see Gage and Elena's realtionships and chance meetings from 2010 until the present day. The first meeting his Mate instincts kick in but Alec saves his brother and they dont meet again for a year. Well Gage will not let this woman go and they begin to have a 6 month realtionship. Right when Elena is going ot bare her heart and soul to Gage, she over hears him saying she is just a hot POA....devistated she runs. Then she finds out she is "Other" and gets the chance to rub his nose in it when LuLu is going to "other-worlder jail' essentially. She shows up and basically gives himn a smack down. Weh Gage realizes he CAN have this woman who has held his heart in his hand these past years, he handcuffs her and will not let her go.,,,literally handcuffs her ot him..snickers. I have to say i was cracking up at him and all the stuff he does. He IS going to get his mate!! However Elena is NOT going to fall in to the trap that is Gage. OMG does this girl have spunk. The stuff she does to his house when taking his sister had me in fits if laughter!! She is defo the right woman to take on this cat!!

Well Hancuffed and stuck with her "mate", she thnks that he is going to have to let her go while he and the rest of the shifters go to Germany to save the Aplpha from the drama in book 1....NOPE!! Sorry but that isn't gonna happen. He takes her with him. The best scene by far is the "gift" he gives her and her reaction to it...priceless....I know I was like "yeah he knows his woman!!"

So along the way, SHOCKER, they do fall in love but then Elena learns what loving her will cost Gage.....SAD for sure *sniff sniff* but its all worth it right!!?? Wanna know dontchya!! HAHA gota read the book!!

Now Gage being Mr. High Handed and Mr. Gonna have his Mate tied to him in everyway that counts, does a few things that MAY make Elena mad...I know again SHOCKER...but you gotta love him for them. I also love how insane his love for her is and how tied up in knots he gets. I am really excited for more from this couple in the next book...but I am really excited over the next couple too!!! SQUEEEEEEEE

I received a copy of the book from the Author to give a truthful review.
I loved Big Bad Bite and I really liked Gage, Alex, and Vera Ivanov in that book. In Walk on the Striped Side we get to see more of Gage and are also introduced to Elena. Elena is tough, spunky, and did I mention stubborn. If you haven’t noticed I love tough, spunky, strong women that stand up for themselves and give their man a run for their money. I was bouncing in my chair messaging my friend and fellow blogger, Twinsie Angie, as she was reading this so I could talk to someone about what was going on.
Gage comes face to face with Elena when Gage finds himself in a minor predicament. Elena does not back down from him and does not give in to his demands. Gage realizes he has found his possible mate and wants as far away from her as possible. However, once he does gives in and is with Elena she falls fast and disregards all the warnings her mother has given her in the past not to fall in love. Gage breaks her heart and she goes back to be with her family to take care of family matters vowing never to let her heart be broke again.
When a twist of fate lands Elena face to face with Gage again due to a predicament that his sister, Lulu, finds herself in. I love sneaky, playful side we see to Elena. The payback that a she deals out to Gage is a gag. I was cracking up at the way Gage decided he was going to prove to Elena that she was his mate and was never going to leave his side. I wouldn’t mind being his human pillow.
When Pack Master Davies made the call that Gage was going to Germany on assignment Gage made a shocking announcement of his own. But I’m not going to tell you what he did. I love the “gift” Gage gives to Elena. I would love to get my hands on one of those. You can tell this is the moment she realizes Gage really knows and loves her.
Elena is not above throwing skillets when she has been pushed far enough. The invisible spider bit was great. I loved seeing the dynamic between Tyson and Gage. There are so many individuals that I enjoyed seeing again Babushka (Vera), Kent, Adam, Jenna, and Alec. Alec really surprised me most of all.
What I enjoy about these books is that each book is not all wrapped up in a nice neat bow. They are not cliff hangers but some of the story does continue on into the next book. You get a little more information but you don’t get all the answers. I cannot wait for the next book to get a little more information on the Germany Pack, information on other things that are going on, and of course the next couple.

Just when I was enjoying Big Bad Bite, here comes Walk On The Striped Side. I love me some big cat shifters and Gage is one hot alpha tiger! I’d love to be his catnip.

While Walk On The Striped Side is the 2nd book in the Big Bad Bite series is could be read without reading the first book Big Bad Bite but I highly recommend starting with Big Bad Bite because there is a plot line that starts in BBB that carries over to WOTSS and will most likely continue in future books.

We first meet the hero, Gage in Big Bad Bite and at the end Elena shows up. These two are a CRAZY couple. They had me laughing through most of the book and fan myself when I wasn’t laughing. They both have messed up family members that are even crazier than them.

Elena and her two sisters were always fighting and calling each other names.
“Fine. But if I get turned into cat chow during this stupid bullshit, you better make sure to bury me in my Manolo’s. I wanna be the hottest chewed up dead chick anyone’s ever seen.”
Gage and his family of were-tigers are funny as hell. And I can’t wait to read the next book, The Demon That Loved Me, with Gage’s sister Lulu in it. I can only hope that the brother, Alec will get his own book in the near future.

Seriously y’all if you’re looking for a fun and sexy paranormal romance you need to pick up Walk On The Striped Side, I’ll never look at cat toys the same way. LOL

Fans of Shelly Laurenston and Jessica Sims will fall in love with Jessie Lane’s Big Bad Bite series.

This book is hands down, amazing. If you think book one and Jenna’s antics are hysterical (and they are!) you will love, love, love, Elena. The relationship she has with her sister is crazy funny. Close and Elena...They fight like two pissed off cats fighting over a chicken bone. They’re scrappy!

Elena and Gage met in the Army. Leave it to Uncle Sam to bring two people who are from different worlds, different species and different mentalities together in an explosive show of dominance. (Hint, The fiesta female won that one!) It didn’t quite go as planned though, no Gage, being the alpha male, I’m not going to ruin her life, kind of man he is, pushed her away. In a very bad way.

Fast forward two years and the heat, passion and fire they have together is reignited when Elena, who is now out of the Army and working the family business, shows up looking for Gage’s sister, Lulu. Things go from green to danger zone in a matter of seconds. Elena isn’t the same woman he met and destroyed two years ago. Nope, now she’s a bad mama jama on a mission. A mission that leads her to being handcuffed to a very pissed off tiger shifter.

Gage made a mistake two years ago, he’s realized that since she has been thrust back into his life, there is no way he can deny their connection any longer. With the cuffs keeping her at his side he now has to convince her of the fact that, she’s it for him. She is the one soul mate out there that he needs in his life.

She may skin him, remove his balls and any number of other things before that happens though. The alpha male has met his match and seriously, I think Elena’s balls just may be bigger that the kitty’s.
