I won my copy of "Buttons" through a Goodreads giveaway. Being a children's librarian, I enjoy finding new books that I can recommend to parents who are seeking books to help their child discover the love of reading. Books for emerging readers that are interesting yet educational are very hard to find, but I'm happy to say that this book accomplishes both. With vivid illustrations and bold typeface, young readers will enjoy "Buttons" antics. I'll definitely be adding additional copies of this book in my collection.

Aroooooof. Woof-woof

I just couldn’t believe how sweet that book is. BUTTON, a little playful dog with her best friend Buffy, learns how to bark and goes to school. Plays hid-and-seek with Buffy and other games.

A very great way to teach young ones new words and even life.

The drawings are just cute and beautifully made. Each child would love to have it and read it all over again, because of the drawings alone.

They are books for boys and girls, to learn new words or even life.

Loved that book and would recommend it to every child.

Button is an adorable puppy who lives with his best friend, Buffy. Button's favorite things are buttons in red. This is a cute story about this sweet little puppy. Very young children will love Button and the beautiful illustrations. They will be entertained and happily engaged whether they can read this book or have an adult read it to them.

I highly recommend this sweet little story for very young children to early readers. The author knows how to write stories that make children smile.

BUTTON is a sweet-faced golden puppy that you want to grab right out of the pages and cuddle. He and little six-year old girl, Buffy, share the simple joys of childhood, like fixing breakfast, getting ready for school and counting buttons--RED being the little doggy's favorite color. They share the excitement of learning one word, WOOF! Fun Book!!

I chose this rating because I really liked Button story book. This is an excellent book written for ages 0 - 8. This is a very cute story with beautiful illustrations! GREAT BOOK!!
I would highly recommend this delightful children's book for multiple reasons......drawings, educational lesson and the 'big' words.

Small easy words

This is a very simple story that describes a dogs day. The words are simple and the sentences are short, so this would make a decent book for a beginning reader to read.
