Ryan I don’t think I’ll fall in love with anyone—no one’s that interesting. But Aria bets that if I start dating, I’ll definitely catch feelings for someone. I have better things to focus on, but life’s been pretty boring lately, so I accepted her challenge. What I didn’t consider is that, in the process, I’d be seeing her constantly—and now I’m a hundred percent sure I won’t fall for any of the dates she sets me up with. Because I’m already falling for her.
Aria I’ve been careful with my heart—keeping it locked away, guarded, untouchable. But Ryan? He’s making that impossible. With every teasing smirk, every late-night conversation, and the way he looks at me like he already knows I’m his, he’s slipping past my defenses, piece by piece. This was supposed to be a game, a bet to prove a point. But now, every touch, every stolen glance feels like a dangerous temptation. I don’t know when I stopped pretending. I just know that falling for Ryan Carson might be the one risk I’m not ready to take.
A.M. weaves romance and fantasy into stories filled with flirty banter, fiery chemistry, and characters who love as hard as they fight. When she’s not lost in fictional worlds, she’s home with her son, probably reading, plotting, or pretending she doesn’t have a mile-long TBR.
Follow her for bookish chaos and behind-the-scenes fun:
Un romance con varios elementos que lo convierten en una lectura cómoda, entre Aria y Ryan se crea una tensión que va creciendo, los personajes secundarios están bien ejecutados y nos deja ver posibles historias, para mi el personaje de Aria fue contradictorio y en ocasiones me exasperaba.
A delicious take on high stakes lawyer and rough around the edges girl next door romance.
The "find each other dates" bit it such a cute dynamic, and the doubts that each of them share about their own worth and capabilities are incredibly closely observed. Relatable (apart from the vast inheritance) and so so vivid!
A.M. you are an inspiration, and Ryan and Aria were such a delight to meet and get to know! 💜💜💜
The start got me intrigued and who doesn’t love a good cliche storyline. Then it did get draggy midway and took a bit more effort for me to finish this book, but there was an attempt for plot developments besides the romance aspect.
This book was such a drag to read. The author went back and forth on the same issues too many time and sometimes the main characters thinking was illogical. e.g the male lead wondering if he had feelings for the lady but he literally said he did a chapter earlier. It would have been a cute read as a novella but there wasn't enough content to be a full novel so things got draggy. Plus the constant repetition, "he rolled up his sleeves to show his tattoos; he opened up two buttons to show his tattoos." We got it in the first 2 chapters, he has tatoos and shows them off. Oh also, the overuse of the word "smirk." Plus some scenes were completely unnecessary, like some with the friends hanging out, just so the female lead realizes she loves her friends? Yeah, a frustrating read that could have been so much better.
