Bloodmist and Bonedust: Cosa Nosferati Book I

Rate this book
Bloodmist and Bonedust is a gothic descent into familial survival where darkness isn't just a metaphor--it's a predator hunting your bloodline. Seven years of hiding. Seven years of looking over your shoulder. One vampire crime lord who never forgets. In the condemned shadows of Chicago's forgotten corners, a family teeters between survival and annihilation. Serlanos wants what was stolen—and blood always collects its debt. With the raw, visceral intensity of a nightmare that refuses to release its grip, this tale bleeds the line between protection...and obsession. This narrative will drag you through psychological trenches where family loyalty is both weapon and wound. Not for the faint-hearted. Prepare to have your comfort eviscerated, one bloody page at a time. This book is for those who understand that true horror isn't about monsters—it's about what monsters make us become.

This book is for all the Elder Emos who wished to be whisked away by a vampire. Well unless you were thinking a Team Edward type vampire. This is more like True Blood vampires. A vampire mafia romance in the heart of Chicago, where vampires run the crime and the humans fight to exist. I love the playlist that was provided to accompany the chapters. I do feel like there some places where the lore could have been explained a little bit more. I would have also liked to have the different types of paranormal entities explained more or listed after the trigger warnings. The spicy chapters got better as the book went on. I look forward to her second book to see what unravels next!

This book grabbed me by the throat and didn’t let go. Bloodmist and Bonedust is gothic horror at its finest violent, tragic, and strangely tender in its exploration of family and survival. Rasmussen’s prose is hypnotic, dripping with dread and beauty. The world she’s built feels both decayed and alive, pulsing with danger and emotion. It’s one of those rare reads that gets under your skin and stays there. Fans of dark psychological horror will devour this. Five stars, no hesitation.

Bloodmist and Bonedust isn’t just a book it’s an experience. From the very first page, I was completely consumed by its haunting atmosphere and unrelenting tension. K.L. Rasmussen’s writing is darkly poetic and drenched in mood and emotion. Every sentence feels carved from bone and blood. The story of family loyalty twisted into obsession left me both disturbed and moved in equal measure. It’s rare to find a gothic horror that feels this raw and human. I couldn’t stop reading, even when I wanted to look away. Absolutely five stars chilling, beautiful, unforgettable.

"The woman of my dreams. Hair black as raven, lips as red as blood and skin so pale you'd think she was Death, herself. Femme fatale is there ever was one. She would be my undoing and I would willingly let her."

I cannot get over this book! I need book two before I lose my mind. Llewyn and Lenora are EVERYTHING. I loved seeing their relationship develop and the spice was definitely spicin' in more than a couple scenes... my lantaaaa. 🥵This one is for all my Dark Romance girlies who find themselves drawn to the macabre and VAMPIRES. Go snag this one off of amazon and come back and thank me later 😉

Bloodmist and Bonedust is the first book of an ongoing Dark Romance Vampire Series. In this story we follow Lenora. Her father found himself involved with a vampire mafia and ultimately paid the price. He trusted his father to protect her and her brother and his father failed him. Lenora's grandfather is an awful man. He only saw dollar signs and could care less about his granddaughter. He sold her to Serlanos. Serlanos is the leader of this underground vampire mafia and has been after Lenora's bloodline for quite some time. She holds the key to complete his blood syndicate. Meanwhile, we have two brother vampire assassins who each play a significant role in Lenora's future. Only one of them has good intentions and wants to make her his if she is so willing to let him do so.

This was the perfect take on a modern version of vampires while still encompassing that victorian gothic-esque aura. I absolutely LOVED this one and can't wait for more people to get their hands on it.😍🙌

Enthralling vampire novel!

Imagine diving into the depths of a dark urban fantasy novel, where the shadows of Chicago hold secrets darker than the night itself. As I turned the pages of this gripping tale, a torrent of emotions engulfed me like a tempestuous sea. The blood war among vampire factions painted a vivid picture of chaos and danger, while the forbidden romance whispered secrets of love against all odds. Each page dripped with intense suspense, capturing my heart in a vise of fear and anticipation. The exploration of dark themes left me raw and vulnerable, feeling the weight of every struggle and triumph alongside Lenora Holmwood and her family.
