The gripping conclusion to the best-selling Dark Fantasy CRUXIM trilogy...

Vampires and their plague-poxed brethren threaten to overrun the world like a blood-borne wave. At their helm, is Beltran, a Vampire whose malicious nature is as black as his many secrets.

Standing between Beltran and the destruction of all Cruximkind is Amedeo Aeternus—the half-Cruxim hybrid of the prophecy, the Cruor driven on by an unremitting desire for revenge.

Along with the Sphinx Sabine and Cruxim Skylar—whose love for him is as fierce as their warrior natures—and a handful of Cruxim, mortals, and mythological creatures, Amedeo must make a final stand to end the horrors of his past and create a future for all of Cruximkind. But dark secrets still haunt him, too. With a battle so bloody on his hands, will the weight of his own fears crush him beneath the very Crux his people have suffered for millennia?

KARIN COX is an Australian author who writes in her “spare time” while being a fulltime mum to two precocious girls and a black cat with the improbable name of "Ping Pong." She is the author of more than 50 trade-published titles, including children’s and adult fiction, biographies and travel guides, and Australian natural and social history texts, several of which are award-winning. Being so busy hopping from one genre to another, she runs almost wholly on white wine and insomnia, which could account for the cray-cray, but probably doesn’t.

Her poems and short stories have been published in anthologies worldwide, and her novels and anthologies GROWTH, CAGE LIFE, CROWS AND OTHER BEASTS, CRUXIM, CRECHE, CREED, DARK GUARDIANS and WHAT THE SEA WANTS are available from all good online distributors and bookstores. Titles in Karin’s bestselling DARK GUARDIANS trilogy have several times topped best-seller charts for gothic romance and dark fantasy.

Let me start with saying after book one I was not sure I was going to finish the series. Something tugged at me and I was curious where it would go, so naturally I read on. I can't say how glad I am that I did. The plot thickened and became intriguing and of course, I became enthralled (not a surprise for me as I usually am with great writing and good stories.) and that is exactly what this is. An amazing and unique story. Wonderful characters, rich in plot, and many twist and turns. I loved Ame he was a wonderful hero. Sabine was majestic and awesome, and Skylar was captivating, always full of surprises... The world Cox created was beautifully done the writing was amazing and had great style. With very few grammatically errors which always makes me smile.. This series will be going in my favorites most definitely. Five stars well earned!

Truly a dark gothic, Angel vs. Vampire trilogy

These books written by Me Cox are so beautifully written. They contain a story that is unique, well thought, and quite engaging. I've read the entire series in three days because it is that good. I have enjoyed the fact that with most novels you can predict what happens next. Not with these characters. Thank you, Karin Cox for such a beautiful, engaging story. Please keep them coming and I will continue to be a huge fan!

What a fantastic ending to my favorite dark fantasy series. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but there were plenty of surprises that kept me turning the pages. Armedo, Skylar, Sabine and all of Cruxim-kind and other immortal creatures had to endure many trials and tribulations. Secrets were revealed, love was lost and found, and the author told it all in a way that left me breathless. Bravo!

Series started off intriguing, but then I found myself liking the series of books that followed less and less. I had a hard time liking the main character. He just was a miserable individual and the writing style was depressing. I had to commit myself to finishing this book.
