Noteworthy: Interconnected standalone book 5/6. There is an overarching story, so the previous 5 books should be read in order.
I'm always excited about a new book in this series. Unfortunately, I would rank this one as my least favorite, but with a high standard for the series.
Morgan and Tevik seemed to share a single ounce of confidence between them. I needed one of them to step up and take control. Just when it seemed like one would, bam, 2 steps back. I enjoyed the action in this book for as much as the romance lacked a bit. Tivek being a spy brought a nice aspect to the series. Seeing him struggle with being not just an unrecognized hero but also dealing with the disrespect that came with the secrets, it was tough. I wanted more for his character. Bringing cadets on this highly dangerous and unapproved mission was insane because not only did they not really contribute, they were also liabilities. I had to roll my eyes a few times at Morgan not being able to regulate her emotional responses. But then remembered she's still in training and should not have been there. The prison break was suspenseful and a little unpredictable in its own way. We didn't get a lot of resolution at the end of this book. The situation between the MCs is missing final closure. I also would have liked to see some resolution between Tivek and his brother. I was very much looking forward to that potentially happening.
I did enjoy the alternate POVs in this one. Especially Sasha and Deklyn. I have a feeling this series is going to end with a banger of a book!

Morgan is a cadet in the School of Strategy - the Assassins - in the Drexian Academy. She’s clever, resourceful and observant. Even more, I loved that, even when she was scared, she found the courage to face the challenges and dangers thrown her way. Morgan is a wonderful woman and I loved her so, so much!
Tivek is the Drexian Academy master’s adjunct. Or so everyone thinks… Tivek might appear unassuming at first glance, but he’s anything but that. Because he is a Shadow, a spy who’s done more for the Drexian empire than anyone could imagine. Tivek is strong, brave, loyal, resourceful and a total badass. Even more, he’s kind, honorable and fiercely protective. He’s a Drexian who would risk everything for those he cares about. Tivek is an incredible male and I adored everything about him!
I loved everything that happened between Morgan and Tivek! Both have set their sights on each other for a while, but neither had acted upon it. And, now, they’re going on a dangerous mission in Kronock territory. I loved them together! I loved their chemistry and all the tension. Even more, I loved how supportive and understanding they were of each other. They were such an awesome team. But, no matter how hard they tried to resist, the attraction between them couldn’t be denied and when they finally gave in, the passionate moments they shared were so hot. Their road to happiness was not an easy one, it was paved with difficult choices, dangers, secrets and insecurities, but in the end, their HEA was more than deserved.
In addition, the storyline was phenomenal! The daring rescue mission into enemy territory (which goes sideways very, very quickly), the unexpected turns of events and the multiple PoVs kept me glued to the pages till the very end, excited to see how (and if) everyone will make it out alive. And also - SERGE! Oh, I’ve missed this Gatazoid so much!
Overall, the story is another remarkable addition to the series! It’s filled with danger, suspense, twists, non-stop action, drama, adventure, humor, passion and fantastic characters.
I couldn’t put it down and absolutely loved every single page of it!

Love, secrets and choices
I loved, loved this pulse pounding, double pining, secret life, sci-fi alien-human romance. The story had the perfect balance of love, real life issues, spice, humor, danger, intrigue, and plot twists as seen through the eyes of two intense, strong and passionate characters. I am always a fan of uber protective alpha males being paired with smart brave capable females who need loving more than they need rescuing. This story does that beautifully. Tivek is a Drexian who appears to just be the adjunct to the Academy Master of the Drexian Academy. Unbeknownst to everyone though, he is also a Shadow, a secret spy for the Drexian empire. Morgan is a human cadet in the School of Assassins. She enjoys the planning, strategy and safety of being an Assassin, skills she learned as a young child due to her circumstances. Tivek and Morgan have been secretly attracted to each other since meeting without either one acting on the attraction. Things heat up up between them while on a mission to rescue a captured human pilot and they become closer as each new wrinkle and danger lengthens the mission. To get to their HEA, they will each need to do some baggage unpacking and truth telling while dealing with the secrecy of Tivek’s Shadow work and the danger they are in. Throughout the book there are chapters from POVs other than the MCs which helped the story progress rather than detracting from it. While this can be read as a standalone, there are some story arcs that are woven throughout the series along with the other couples storylines so to get the most out of the story, the series should be read in order. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. 4.5 stars.

As someone in the Air Force who became one of the first women to become cadets & attend the Drexian Academy and survive the maze in her first year, Morgan is one of the cadets attending the School of Strategy, known as an “Assassin”. She helps a friend and mentor (who is a teacher of the “Wings”), and they are on a rescue mission to save Ariana’s sister Sasha from the enemy, the Kronock. This now includes Tivek’s brother, Deklyn. Commander Vyk, Torq, Ariana & Morgan are the rescue mission. But, the plan does not go as planned, twice over, as Volten and the other half of the team, remain at the Academy to save Britta & Kann from the holosimulator they are stuck in. It’s a good thing too, because the second team is soooo needed. More shocks abound and learning about Tivek’s past and who he truly is was an inspiration as well as fascinating. It made me love him even more and that is saying something. Deklyn & Sasha are perfect for each other and I can’t wait for their book. They are even crazier than the other warriors who’ve found their mates. The Kronock are freaky and terrifying. I kinda picture them as a combo of Velociraptor and a few other sci-fi reptilian species from Star Trek, lol. Thing go sideways waaaaay too many times in this book, but it is amazing what they pull to get free and save the day. I loved it.

this is the 5th fantastic story in this series featuring morgan the first human female cadet as an assassin in the drexian academy and tivek the admiral's adjunct but secretly a shadow a secret spy for the world of drex. very few even know about the 5th school called shadow but tivek tells morgan what he really is without really knowing why. his own family thinks he's a failure. they both end up going on a rescue mission where everything goes wrong and several times they have to fend for themselves. this leads to them exploring feelings they have each been having for the other esp when they end up in a perilous situation they may not escape. then they are unsure of each other and not sure how they will make a relationship work. morgan has always been taught by her dissatisfied mother never to sacrifice her dreams for a man and tivek has no idea how morgan can possibly fit into his life of lies and deception. both feel they can't ask it of the other leading to misunderstanding and possibly losing each other for good. can they find common ground and can they be honest with each other about their true feelings? it might take some help from unexpected sources to help them find their way. a thrilling exciting story filled with danger, rescue, friendship, loyalty, and much more that will have u rooting for tivek and morgan to find their happy ending.

Just WOW!!!! Don't start reading this one at night without you having the whole night available for reading. From start to finish it is just sooooo fabulously fantastically good. I loved it and loved it and loved it some more. I earnestly think this story is the best one so far, including the Sand people and all other series that happen around the Drexian world, be it tribute Brides, the academy or any of them. There is something happening on every single page and it is such good storytelling, on every single page!!!!
When is the next story coming out? Because that is the problem with having read all the previous ones, you can't read them all as fresh.... I love this story and can't really recommend it enough.

A Drexian Academy story is always something good to look forward to and with Secrecy the fifth book in the series another steamy adventure unfolds.
MFC Morgan along with a team are on the way into enemy territory on a mission to rescue Ariana’s sister Sasha, a move not sanctioned by Drexian or Human commands.
Finding out Tivek the Admiral’s adjunct was a Shadow who belonged to a fifth and secret Drexian school of espionage added some more intrigue to an already tense situation, especially when he has Morgan agree to keep his secret.
Enjoyed this action filled story that also had time for a passionate romance between Tivek and Morgan, including intrigue, danger, suspense, and spice.
Good writing, and nicely crafted characters energized the story and made it a very entertaining read.

What an absolutely brilliant story! I have loved every book in this series and all the other stories written by this author. I can’t recommend this series high enough to those who enjoy this type of story.
Morgan is a human cadet in the school of assassins. She loves anything that will mean that she will be a good cadet. When she finds out the secret that Tivek has been keeping and he swears her to secrecy, they work together along with the rest of the team to go into enemy territory to rescue Ariana’s Sister Sasha. There is heat and intrigue and lots of action. An all round fantastic story. This is a standalone story, but it all makes sense to read the rest of the series. I am looking forward to reading the next book.

I have enjoyed all the books in the Drexian Academy series and this one is no exception! The story can stand alone, but is greatly enhanced if you have read the previous books.
The main characters, Tivek and Morgan, are each well written with relatable issues that they have to overcome to be together. As always, there is a HEA and some yummy steamy scenes to mark their romantic journey.
One of the highlights for me in this book was getting to hear more from Reina and Serge! I love the interactions between those two and Serge is always a fun read!
This book will appeal to readers looking for well developed stories featuring interesting world building and hot, steamy encounters with sexy, devoted aliens leading to a HEA.

Disappointing
I was looking forward to this story. But the original promise quickly became silly high school theatrics. Why Tyvik would think Morgan would make a good Shadow is beyond me as I found her weak, insipid, and way too emotional for her job. Anytime an author throws romance in at ridiculous times is always annoying. I realize the banter between the original captives was supposed to mimic some kind of military camaraderie, but it fell short with all the snarkiness in the midst of such danger. I guess I expected a little more intelligent conversation from the characters while battling and escaping. I also am at a loss. What is it about huffy misunderstood women stomping off in the middle of an engagement and endangering the mission? Why are they even in the Academy and on a mission, if they can't hold it together? I am so disappointed in this one!

Loved it!
Awesome story! After a wait that felt like forever we finally got Morgan and Tivek’s story. Tivek was always a favorite of mine. Tana also got the true nature of being a spy correct. Most people think a spy/clandestine agent is someone flashy like James Bond when they are nothing like that. I have known two people who were agents and both were unassuming people who no one would look at twice. That is the true nature of those in espionage which is to blend into the background. While there were a few more moving parts in this story Tana made them all work. I am looking forward to reading Deklan’s and Sasha’s story. I was afraid that it was going to be concluded in this book which would have taken away from Tivek and Morgan’s story in my opinion but thankfully it looks to be another episode between those lovely Drexians and their humans. Can’t wait!

Excellent!
Book five in the Warriors of The Drexian Academy doesn’t disappoint! Morgan and Tivek are off on a mission to rescue Tivek’s brother and Sasha from the Kronock prison on a distant planet. All goes well until they crash land in a swamp and their ship sinks into the ground. Now they are stranded there with no way off the planet. But this is just the beginning of their troubles. When Morgan and Tivek are the only ones not captured by the Kronock, they have to figure out how to rescue five prisoners instead of two. This is a fast-paced book with lots of twists and turns. It will hold you in it’s grasp until the end of the book. Couldn’t put it down!.

Secrecy is Tana Stone’s is the newest book in the Drexian Academy series, and it is action packed! Two sets of cadets/instructors set off to free the hostages of the Krannock. The first crashes and most are captured. The two remaining arrive just as the two hostages are escaping, but they aren’t in the clear yet. Just as they and the second wave of heroes escape, the Krannock hit one ship, causing it to land in the middle of nowhere! When they aren’t saved they are taken to one of the Drexian Bride Satellites where the the male Drexian Tiv and female human cadet Morgan must decide if theirs is a love match or a simple fling!.

I loved Morgan and Tivek! I always loved Tivek, there's just something about a crabby (seeming) butler (I know he's not really a butler). Tivek is the Admiral's Adjunct and Morgan is a cadet in the school of Assassins and she's been sweet on him for a long time. During their time together during the rescue mission their feelings for each other blossom and grow. I loved this action filled book. I really loved the Multi-POV! The characters are like old friends and it's fun to get to catch up with them. The world building is seemless. The story is involving to the point I couldn't put it down! I love Tana Stone, she has never let me down.

Secrecy, the fifth installment in the Warriors of the Drexian Academy Series, is an absolute blast! This action-packed, fast-paced academy romance expertly weaves a captivating friends-to-lovers story between Tivek, the enigmatic Headmaster's assistant, and human cadet Morgan. I was completely swept into the academy, eager to uncover the truth behind Tivek's mysterious identity and mission. The multiple POV narration keeps the plot moving swiftly and brilliantly sets the stage for the next book, particularly with the impending rescue of Sasha. I'm completely hooked on this series and highly recommend diving into 'Secrecy'!

Another exciting adventure and satisfying romance at the Drexian Academy. This story really doesn't take place at the academy but finally sees the cadets and instructors making their attempt to rescue Ariana's sister, Sasha. Tivek's real role at the academy comes into play and Morgan's crush, is more than she thinks. While Tivek and Morgan get closer, a major rescue is going on and a daring escape that had me anxious to see what was going to happen next. I like the continuing storyline and the focus in this book was exciting and fun to reading. This book also reintroduces Tivek's brother and sets up the next book. I really enjoyed this book.

we need a Drexian Academy
The Drexians are like the Elite military of the universe. When Earth wants to join them, of course their cadets must prove themselves. What happens when you put groups together that function at a higher level than a normal group of individuals. You find relationships that develop on a higher level. The couples who function and win against enemies during previously uneven levels of battles now are being won. Most of all, we read about HEA and whole worlds taking back their freedoms.
Great author, love each pairing and showcasing the badass Earth female.

Tana certainly outdid herself with this one. I was mesmerized and hooked from the word go. I read it from start to finish without sparing a thought for anything beyond those pages. They always say the quietest ones are the worst 🤣
It was great to be back on familiar territory and those amazing holo suites. 🔥💜
Reina and Serge were a perfect touch to this amazing story. I think we are way overdue for an elaborate wedding.....or two

This was an entertaining story mainly about Morgan and Tivek who are on the mission to rescue Tivek’s brother and Sasha from a Kronock prison. A group of friends sneak out of the Academy for the rescue but the ship crashes and only Morgan and Tivek are not captured, now they have to rescue their friends also in this engaging story that was enjoyable to read. The chemistry between Morgan and Tivek sizzled as their romance blossomed, the story was intriguing, and the action was well written in this enjoyable copy I'd received and volunteer to read and review.

This is my amended review for Secrecy, as my first contained mistaken impression. This is the second last book in the Academy Series, and it was full on action. I really couldn’t put the book down til I had finished it. Loved the various POV that Tana is incorporating into her books. And I love that previously mentioned characters appear in future stories. Can’t wait for Declyn and Sasha’s story, but will be sad to leave the Academy.

Tivek doesn't looks like much, just a drop out from drexian academy but he is actualy a Shadow, a secret spy for the Drexian empire. Morgan is a human cadet in the School of Assassins and She is very observent! She finds out that Tivek isn't who everybody thinks but actualy a very important drexian he is a hero in the dark. Things are going very bad very fast and they have to save a human piloto, save the drexians and human stuck in the holosimulation, the bad guys are moving to get the drexians. Wow, what a rolercoaster. Its just so amazing, I love these warriors so much. Can't wait to know more drexians.

What a Wild Ride
This story went from space to the Kronock planet, then lost in space and finally The Island. There were several rescues, some moments of amorous congress, and matchmaking wedding planners.
I loved this story for the drama and the development of Morgan and Tivek's feelings for eachother. Him being a spy and her a strategist gave them a great set of skills between them.
I love how characters in previous books in the series make appearances in the next books. We get to see how they are doing after being matched up.

Sweet, Slow burn with all the feels
I gave this book 5 stars b/c I couldn't give it more! It's 4am and I've been reading it on and off all day. Oh, my goodness, the feels. I've shipped Morgan and Tivek since book 4 ended and the slow burn with all the danger was perfect. The pacing was perfect. It felt like slowly unwrapping my favorite dessert. All the anticipation of how they will finally step outside their heads and get together.
I'm sad to see only one more book about Drex. Ms. Stone, you're going to have to take me out of this world kicking and screaming!

Tivek and Morgan have been casting longing glances at each other since the first met. Now at last they are working together. If only the mission was not so dangerous. Will they be able to fight their attraction or will the adrenaline fueled mission only add to it. This story held my attention from the very start, I read it in one sitting. Great read.

Disappointed - Not worthy of this series
I’m so disappointed! Morgan was kind of pathetic and Tivik was just boring and one dimensional. I was really looking forward to this book after the teaser at the end of the last one but the characters didn’t hold up and the storyline didn’t make up for that, especially because there were too many different characters who had their own chapters.

The heroine - Morgan, is determined and clever, while betraying nothing. Tivek is …. unusual, trusting no one completely and secretive.
WOW! A secret explained, a rescue mission gone wrong and even worse impending doom….. and that’s before chapter six! By 33%, the tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife and my heart was pounding.

Another one, so good you can’t put it down
Tivek is a like an onion, and it takes many chapters to uncover him. Really enjoyed this story. The action and suspense made this one un-put-down-able.
This series has a really good long-running plot. The steamy bits and HEAs are icing on an already great cake.

This sci-fi/academy romance is absolutely FANTASTIC!! Loved it! I just knew this quiet Drexian would be my favorite. Loads of action, adventure, and sizzling romance..

I've really been looking forward to Tivek and Morgan's story. I gotta say it's one of my favorite stories from the Academy romances. Finally poor Sasha and her Drexian get rescued. Now I can't to read their actual story.
