Stasia was born in Georgia, grew up in Texas, recently spent a freezing five-year stint in Minnesota, and now is happily planted in sunny California, which she will never, ever leave.
She loves writing, reading, listening to podcasts, and has recently taken up biking after a twenty-year sabbatical (and has the bumps and bruises to prove it). She lives with her own personal cheerleader, aka, her handsome husband, and their teenage son. Wow. Typing that makes her feel old. And writing about herself in the third person makes her feel a little like a nutjob, but ahem! Where were we?
Stasia’s drawn to romantic stories that don’t take the easy way out. She wants to see beneath people’s veneer and poke into their dark places, their twisted motives, and their deepest desires. Basically, she wants to create characters that make readers alternately laugh, cry ugly tears, want to toss their kindles across the room, and then declare they have a new FBB (forever book boyfriend).
Finally Remus/Romulus book!!!! This was another fantastic monster romance from the amazing Stasia Black!! Remus god of war has been my favorite from the beginning with his bad boy character and swagger as one of the fabled horsemen of the apocalypse make him simply irrestitable and you never know what shit he's getting into! His devil may care attitude along with his naughty behavior has everyone ready to ring his neck! After watching his two brothers Abaddon and Kharon find their consorts he's more determined to find his. With a little help from his younger brother Layden and his magic elixir that will keep his perfect brother and everybody's favorite Romulus, from waking up and ruining all his plans he heads to earth to find his mate. Their he finds Lauren( LoRen) and she not only isn't afraid of him but she volunteers to become his consort! Lauren is curvy, beautiful and smart but between her mother and ex boyfriend they'll done a lot of harm to her though fat shaming and using her so what does she have to loss in leaving with a sexy self proclaimed god who not only loves all her curves but who rings her bell time after time!!! I loved this couple and their chemistry was amazing with lots of hot mind blowing sex!!! I loved how Remus /Romulus worshipped their woman!!! Some books I've read with a curvy woman theme gloss over that fact that the heroine has a belly or thick ass or thighs but not only does Stasia Black own it! But shows REAL men love them thick!!!! I also loved the fact that the gang's all back!!! Theirs lots of action with pregnancy, loving and a toddler with wings getting smarter and well beyond her years! Also we find out more about who Layden had ties with! Some very powerful vamps!! Does the name Vlad mean anything to you!!!! And you won't believe what he demands from the horsemen in exchange for his help!!!! Stasia Black is a excellent writer. Her storytelling is a fantastic and her characters each so very unique!!! If your a monster fucker😂 I mean monster lover check this and all the others in this series out! Until next time Luv's💕💋
I am loving this series with self proclaimed God's/Angels/Four Horsemen and their antics to find their women like their brothers have. But there is one complication, these conjoined men cannot be present at the same time, one sleeps while one is awake, which makes for some very odd and bizarre moments with their woman! It's fantastic how this "family" works together to make this blend work. One more brother to go and I think Layton's story will be phenomenal!
Thank you for sending me an ARC. I really enjoyed the premise of the story. I am not sure whether because i had access to an ARC i didnt get the full story? But i found it finished abruptly at chapter 31 with no real explanation as to what happened to make Remus change his mind, no explanation as to why Romulus and Remus can now be awake together and communicate, and they were just about to hit a final spicy scene, but that didnt happen.
I anticipate another book linking to Layden amd Phoenix so perhaps there will be answers there?
The first two books I loved but this book seems so fast-paced I didn't really feel the connection that she could have gotten with both remos and Romulus and I felt like Romulus was just a side character or as you can say a second male lead the kind of doesn't get the girl
The Jekyll and Hyde aspect of this one was well done. I enjoyed the extreme differences between the "twins". I think it really added to the flow of the story and made the ending all the more enjoyable. I am a bit let down by the FMC in this one but I guess they can't all be badasses. I wish she would have been more of a type that owned her curvy figure and gave zero fucks but I suppose that isn't the way of the world all the time. I am glad she moves past it though. Bonus point: the word "gush" was not used once in this one🤣
I enjoyed the characters and the story lines of this story. I would definitely recommend that it is to be read along with the other books in the series.
I am gonna start by saying,as a big fan of Stasia Black and reading almost every single one of her book ,I was disappointed, it's not like the book was bad but I had high hopes for this one.
I wanted to know Remus properly, he always struck me as an interesting character and from the first book in this series,I wanted to know him.I wanted to see Remus and Romulus' dynamics and how they managed to be in the same body. I felt a little bit connection to Remus but nothing towards Lauren or Romulus. It was looking like Romulus was just there to be an accessory. The book did start nicely and intensely but after that it was a clusterfuck for the lack of better word. There was no in-depth analysis of Remus' emotions cause who have read the other books in this series know that he went through some crazy shit from the starting of his life. There was no healing of traumas of nor the MMC's neither the FMC's,there was barely an acknowledgement of them. The last half of the book was all about Layden.I also want to know his story but complete the MC's story first.🤷🏻♀️
It was like the author rushed the story to get to the next book.I seriously gotta say I am really really disappointed. This book could've had great potential but Ms.Black just didn't seem to care. The spice was okay and really on frequency, nothing special.(Or maybe I am too fucked up🙃)
Hero (Remus) Rating:⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hero (Romulus)rating:⭐⭐⭐⭐ Heroine rating:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐(she was incredibly supportive and loving) Spice rating:🌶️🌶️ Spice frequency: low Ending: cliffhanger but hea💖 POV:🧍🏼🧍🏼♀️🧍🏻 [triple] Plot:🤭😍😑😵💫🤝💖 Plot rating:⭐⭐ Writing rating:⭐ Overall rating:⭐⭐⭐ Would I read it again: Probably not..
Checkout my review of other books in this series😚😚
This one was a bit of a let down for me. I really loved Remus and Romulus from what we saw in the previous books but this one had a weirder, more light tone. The heroine is a little cringe and by the third day she's already calling him "my love", acquainting herself with his family and doesn't seem affected at all by the fact she was kidnapped by a two faced god.
It's a good book and the spice is well done, but from what we saw in the previous books I was hoping for a more brooding, deep tone and more character development. Everyone seems so chill and domesticated and I didn't like the whole last part of the book with the helicopter/ escape (no spoilers lol)
Remus and Romulus, Siamese twins created to turn everything into chaos. Romulus is the most centered, quiet and strategic, Remus is the one who prefers to be noticed, with triumphant entrances and a huge ego to be stroked. And it is exactly during this great spectacle that he decides to go look for a mate in the middle of the human city, arriving flying and presenting himself as a great god.
Lauren (or Lo-Ren, as he calls her) is at a complicated stage in her life. Unemployed, she lost her fiancé to a thinner woman, and she has a narcissistic mother who has a hobby of humiliating her daughter, she hopes to experience great love. Behold, out of nowhere this beautiful god-man appears, with wings, in search of a human mate. And as incredible as it may seem - and his huge ego -, Remus is exactly the kind of man who worships the ground she walks.
What about Romulus?
Normally when one brother is awake, the other is unconscious, however, when they wake up, the memories are shared. However, Remus found a way - with the help of his younger brother who had "died" but returned - to make Romulus stay asleep longer. This battle of wanting to have his thoughts for himself, and not needing to share Lo-Ren with his brother makes everything worse when the "end of the world" approaches. The brothers know that if there is a nuclear cataclysm, they may lose their strength, but the angel-spark with which they are made will make them return, just as it happened with Layden, the youngest brother. However, the human mates and babies would die.
How to save the world to have a chance at a life of happiness?
In this third book, the action scenes are more extensive due to the end of the world situation. Other mythical creatures appear on the scene - witches and vampires - to help in this war. The chemistry between Lauren and the twins is intense. What should be great madness ends up making sense and giving meaning to each person's life. The ending is a little complicated, but it gives the perfect excuse to introduce and unite the couple from the next book, the missing Layden, the most beautiful of the brothers. 4,5 stars
There might be two, but one of them is double trouble all on his own Between Brothers (Monsters Consorts Book 3) by Stasia Black is a very interesting paranormal read! Remus and Romulous are separate personalities within the same body. What's even crazier is that they cannot communicate directly while also distrusting and disliking the other profoundly. Enter Lauren. Brave, fierce and vulnerable, Remus seems to provide her with what she needs to be confident and secure while Romulous only instills insecurity and anxiety. I really enjoyed this book as the reader gets to know both sides of these brothers. Remus has been more in the background in the previous two books, leading readers of the series to believe that Romulous is the more serious of the brothers. However, interactions with Lauren bring Remus into a whole new light. In fact, he is very serious about Lauren! The plot takes this supernatural family on quite the adventure that adds another conundrum to the unresolved concerns at the end of Book 2. An introduction to another set of supernatural beings adds to the ante of interest and intrigue. From Lauren's volunteering to be Remus's consort, Romulous's attempts to return Lauren to her home, the dire and dangerous circumstances this band of brothers find themselves battling and an unexpected twist of new allies, there's never a dull moment. Overall, the excitement is twofold once the connection between Lauren and Remus is established and then spirals into an inferno when Romulous also connects with Lauren. Despite their brazen and clumsy attempts to romance Lauren, Remus and Romulous find a way to woo her and make their unique relationship work. Lauren is one lucky consort! And, the three of them are also on their way to their own HEA, adding more love, companionship and family to these not so monstrous Monster brothers! I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving my review.
I read all three books in the Monsters' Consorts Series and love each and everyone of them. I never expected Between Brothers to be my favorite, however, that is exactly what happened. These two brothers are attached to one another, but polar opposites. Remus and Romulus are never awake at the same time making it impossible to find a way to work together. Stasia Black has created an intriguing world of paranormal creatures who are part man part beast. Stasia has breathed life into wonderful characters who were impossible not to love, but also easy to feel a connection with as well. Between Brothers was an original and fun read. I loved how Stasia surprised me by doing something completely different within the dynamic of Lauren, Remus and Romulus' relationship than what she has previously done with the other couples. This is a series I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves the paranormal romance genre.
Remus has watched two of his brother's find love with consorts and wants to that for himself. Too bad his brother Romulus has no desire for such a relationship. Once Remus figures out a way to take control over Romulus he heads to earth in search of a willing woman who will return home with him. As others run in fear Lauren is left standing there ready for an adventure and an escape from her miserable life. Remus and Lauren share a chemistry that will soon find them giving into their carnal desires. What will happen when Romulus discovers his brother has taken a consort? Can he find it in his heart to let her in or will Romulus send her back to where she came from? More importantly can Lauren help Remus and Romulus learn to live in peace with one another? Without peace there is no possibility for Lauren, Remus and Romulus to find a happily ever after together.

Between brothers is the third book in thus series. I've loved each story for its creativity, world building and characters that have chemistry. This is Romulus and Remus's story. They are War and chaos and they share a body neither really knows what it means to be truly their own person. Their horrible father has pitted them against each other for a Millennia and they find not very hard to trust anyone. Remus's is the wild unpredictable and some might call crazy side while Romulus is the strategist and more level headed of the two. Both would like not have what their brothers do a consort /mate to love but many things hold them back from trying. That is until Remus decides to take matters into his own hands. Lauren has been fighting an eating disorder her whole !I've and has just now started accepting her own body but her mother treats her horribly always criticizing her and her boyfriend cheated on her. All she wants to do leave her boring life find someone who will love her just as she is. While having coffee that's just want she gets when Remus comes down from the sky and asks for a volunteer to be his consort. Lauren sees something in Remus that no one Esme does a good, caring male who wants to make her happy. Does he still have crazy moments yes, but she looks beyond what everyone else has been programmed to and see the hurt male who needs as much acceptance and love as she does. Can they make Romulus see how much his brother has changed? Can they root out who is trying to harm all of them ( if you read the books before its apart of the storyline) can they stop a catastrophic disaster from ruining the whole world and the people they've come to love? You need to read and find out?! You won't be sorry!🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥💖🌟🔥🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥💖🌟🔥
I’ve been waiting for Romulus and Remus’ story, and it certainly wasn’t what I expected! I enjoyed it, but there was so much packed in those 200+ pages that it left me reeling.
This is the story of Remus and his consort Lauren and how his brother is dragged along for the ride, or is it drugged? While Remus has been the diabolical and devilish twin in the previous two books, this one shows how he has kept so much of himself hidden and it is only because of his little human that it comes out. And when Romulus is able to push Remus back, it is with astonishment that he finds that Remus is the one that Lauren wants. Stasia Black could have written a whole novel on just the dynamic between the three of them and how the two brothers, who are the two sides of War, realize just how much they are alike.
But there were so many other things packed in here. Don’t read this book if you haven’t read the previous two, you won’t understand a thing. And this book is definitely a set up for the next in the series as it leaves on somewhat of a cliffhanger – but that is the least of the questions that remained unsolved. So many new elements were introduced in here that were never even mentioned or alluded to in the previous two. Dragons, AI, vampires, computer coding, plane jumping, supernatural birth control are just some of the things that may have made a brief appearance. And not at all what I would have expected based on the previous two books. Fast-paced, it wasn’t boring and I’ll be watching for Layden’s story to come out.

I have to admit, this is my first romance read where one of the protagonists has two faces! Romulus and Remus are a classic two-faced god, and boy, they don’t like one another. They don’t like sharing a body, they don’t like sharing memories, and they really don’t like how they slip from one being in control to the other. In addition, Remus is more than ready to find a mate as his brothers have done, so he gets a means to control Romulus to achieve that. But Lauren isn’t quite what he expected in a life partner, and the potion he takes to keep Romulus unconscious has intended consequences as well.
This book won’t make sense if you haven’t read the other books in the Monsters’ Consorts series, so I urge you to do that (they’re great reads) if you haven’t. And I loved how Black truly expanded the character of Remus, helping us to understand his motivations and approach. Lauren, his coincidental consort, turns out to be the perfect match for this unusual being—perhaps a little bit too perfect, although Black sets her up nicely—and their connection was wonderful.
What dragged this down a bit for me? I felt the ending was rushed. Some monumental things happened, and it seemed like the off-page parts needed more attention. In particular, I felt that Romulus got short shrift by the ending. I needed to understand his motivations in accepting the choices he and his twin made. I was honestly surprised when I hit “the end,” as I kept expecting to read more from his perspective.
But this is a wonderful entry in an entrancing and truly unique romance series. If you love fantasy romance, paranormal romance, or monster romance, you *need* to give this series a chance.
3.5 stars. Remus and Romulus, the male “angel” leads, share a body with a face on each side of their head. Remus has had enough of being restrained by Romulus and their other brothers and is determined to put Romulus to sleep permanently AND acquire a consort, since two of their brothers have successfully done the same.
Lauren, the female human lead, has been damaged by an unfeeling mother and then a narcissistic boyfriend who took advantage of her naïveté and desire to be loved. When Remus announces he’s a god looking for a consort, she leaps at the opportunity to escape her life. As she gets to know him, she cares about him but is concerned by the things he’s keeping secret from her (like Romulus), and the situation they’re in, with the world looking like it may literally fall apart…then there’s Remus’ determination to literally eradicate Romulus if possible…
This story is tri-POV, well written, and an interesting addition to the series. I don’t think it stands alone because much world building has been done in the previous two stories, though the romance does. I admit that I struggled to engage with this story because it felt like Lauren was *too* trusting and Remus/Romulus were jerks (to each other and others, but not to Lauren). I also wasn’t thrilled with the non-romance plot, though I can see how it’s setting up for the fourth story - really the non-romance plots feel like two duets. I appreciated the ending for the lead characters.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
Lauren has had a really bad time of it lately. Really bad and her mother is a piece of work. I really don’t like her mom at all. So, When Remus flies into town and asks who wants to be his consort… OMG I can’t believe he did this! I knew Remus was crazy and a little out there, but come on! I was glad tho, because I got to see the true Remus instead of it always being his twin, Romulus’s viewpoint. Since they are conjoined, it gets a bit… complicated. I was impressed with Lauren and how she dealt with everything. She was truly meant for them. I love how the book was written, it was different from the others in the series. And I loved the other books and the other Horsemen of the Apocalypse- Abaddon, & Thing aka Kharon. As well as their consorts and I’m still getting used to Laydon. I really enjoyed the book and noticed me talking to the book and yelling at both Remus and Romulus, where in the other books, I kinda just went “REMUS!” A lot. Lol. I can’t wait to read Laydon’s book, and I don’t want the series to end!
There is a totally awesome surprise appearance that I guessed at because of the geography and I was right. Lol. I pretty much bounced on the bed reading that part. Learning about history from the Horsemen’s point of view is shattering, their ‘father’ deserves to be majorly punished for how he made them fight each other all the time. But I understand why, he was afraid of his own ‘sons’.

Between Brothers is the third book in the Monster Consort Series. Or at least I think it is. It isn’t listed as being a part of the series but Monsters Bride and Thing have characters in this book.
This is Remus, Romulus and Lauren’s story.
Is it odd that monsters make love the same way humans do? Haha! I have to say that it was pretty hawt!
I really never thought I would want to read books such as this one (of the Monster genre). But I have enjoyed reading this book and the series. Who would have thunk it? Just saying.
What makes Remus so special? He is a conjoined twin and wears Romulus on the backside of his head. They can’t see each other unless looking with mirrors. They don’t get along with each other very well.
Remus comes down from the sky and is looking for a consort. He asks around and it turns out Lauren volunteers. She was ready to leave her home situation. Remus pronounces her name Lo-Ren. I loved Lauren. She was pretty easy going.
There is so much thought put into writing books that the author is building a new world and new people such as monsters and Stasia Black brought the characters to life. Now I can’t wait to read Laydens story! What a great imagination!
Monsters’ Bride - Hannah and Abaddon’s story Thing - Ksenia and Thing/Kharon’s story. Between Brothers - Remus and Romulus and Lauren's “Lo-Ren” story.
I have been hooked on this series since the first book. I have been waiting patiently for these two brothers and I was not disappointed. This is Remus and Romulus’s story and them getting their consort. Remus found a way to make it so Romulus won’t know what he is doing and stopping him. When Remus appears before all the humans scaring them Lauren is there. She volunteers to be his consort. You get to see a different side to Remus, not just the jerk he usually is. He truly cares for Lauren and wants to keep her for himself. He doesn’t want to share her with Romulus. Let me tell you, Romulus did not put in a good first impression with Lauren, but she did find out all about the family that Remus left out. The connection these three have even though it is at separate times was strong. The steamy scenes were very steamy, especially a shower scene. You’ll see. There are also problems happening and the whole family needs to go into hiding while the world seems to be destroyed. Will the family be able to work with allies that opened their home to them? Can they all stop what is going to happen? Will these three be able to make their relationship work or will Remus continue to want to keep Romulus away? You’ll need to read it to find out. 😈 While each book is a different couple, you really need to read it from the first book, Monster’s Bride.
Between Brothers is a wonderful book three in this series of Monsters’ Consorts and a real exciting one that features the conjoined twins Remus/Romulus. Remus having witnessed the happiness his brothers now have with their mates is determined to have one of his own. With the help of his brother Layden he acquires a potion that will keep Romulus asleep while he puts his plan into action, to find and steal a consort. He finds MFC Lauren who volunteers for the position in the spur of the moment and the fun begins! I enjoyed this story as much as I did Lauren’s character and Remus wasn’t the evil doer Angel of War with her as his reputation would have one believe. Love does have that effect even on monsters. Quiet the adventure soon unfolds as Lauren takes all the experiences in stride especially the different faces of Remus/Romulus when discovered. Lots of action, suspense, spice…delicious spice, characters from the previous books and surprises to go along with some chuckles until things get deadly serious with an unseen enemy using AI and tech to bring about an apocalypse in the human realm. Excellent writing and world building made this one wicked good read!.

Romulus and Remus, whose two faces share a single body, are monsters. Together they are one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse - WAR. Their eons of strife and bloodshed on Earth are over, and they are retired to a hidden realm apart from humanity, but War is who they are, and their eternal conflict is now focused on wresting control of their shared body from one another. Neither can kill the other, but domination is the goal. When bored Remus knocks out his other and escapes to Earth in search of a human consort, the game changes. Desperate Lauren takes a leap and volunteers to be Remus' consort, and the stage is set for the most bizarre monster love story I've ever read. That it also involves the other Horsemen, their consorts and children, other mythical/monstrous beings from other realms, and the imminent annihilation of Earth just makes it more complicated, more poignant, more dire, and all the more satisfying when the runes fall out in the end. Turns out, "peace, love, and understanding" may indeed be the ULTIMATE WEAPON - but learning to wield such power is indeed a super-human undertaking. This is an amazed and gratified, voluntary and independent ARC review.
I absolutely loved this story. Finally Remus/Romulus story and the lady who would be his/their consort. Ever since I started reading this monster series the more I am loving them. These characters may not be real, but the way this arthur writes them, she sure knows how to make them come to life on paper. This is the 3rd book in the monster series and Remus has decided he's going to find himself a consort just like his other brother's did, so what better place to look than earth, now he just has to find himself a volunteer and as luck would have it when he falls to earth and Lauren is sitting there when he shows up and raises her hand and off they go. Remus shows a different side of himself with Lauren than he has in the other 2 book's, but Romulus isn't buying it, he knows it'll only be a matter of time before his true colors show, but he knows that Lauren is for Remus, but what can he do when he starts having feelings for her. But then things go from good to bad when they realize someone has found out about them and their family. That's all I'm saying, because I cannot wait for the next book.
Romulus and Remus, the book I had been impatiently waiting for, I really loved the previous book, Thing and I wasn't sure if Between Brothers was going to be able to deliver, but it really did.
Remus is hilarious, mischievous, deadly, so dramatic and yet also sweet (to his chosen Consort Lauren). The challenging dynamic between Romulus and Remus, with their disdaine for each other, borne of thousands of years of being played off against each other by their father was well written.
Lauren was an interesting character too, different from the "consorts" in the first two books, I liked her attitude toward the things that happen throughout the book.
Was great that the characters from the previous two books were still heavily included in this book, and I found quite a bit of the premise to be a different take on things / fresh view, which made the book that much better as the plot isn't "typical".
I am excited to see there will be a fourth book, I can't wait.

Such an amazing fun adventurous book I love every chapter couldn’t get enough these two brothers are something else but also relatable to real life siblings! One is doesn’t care about the affects of what he does and the another is responsible, uptight it seems like to serious but above all tried of cleaning up his free spirited brother messes. Will these two ever agree and overcome their differences and live in harmony with having to share the same body among other things? Especially when a sassy self doubt, who also has a terrible parent who does nothing but put her down. Who has always dreamed of strong guy who can show her love and make her steamy thoughts come true. When new opportunities arise what will Lauren do with the shocking unexpected changes among other things? Find out these answers and so much more in this action packed, page turner mystery and more to enjoy in this on going awesome series! It’s so much fun with wonderful characters and their journeys plus funny moments too! This is a FMF theme book at least in my opinion.
So far, this is my least favorite Monster book. 80% Remus, 10% Romulus, 10% Lauren’s inner thoughts and the other Monsters with their issues. I was hoping for more Romulus, but he was pushed out by his twin with a potion that we only get told about was mixed by the returned brother Layden. The whole “how did we get here” happened off page. The books conclusion starts happening at the 91% mark when it should have been at 80%. Romulus almost gets killed off by Remus, but because Lauren could be mad at him, he decides against it.
Also suddenly all the monsters side with Remus?!? Lauren’s thoughts were playing tug-a-war because one minute she’s smitten and loves the attention, but the next she doesn’t believe Remus and thinks he’s joking. Vampires? Only because the next book will include them. Sorry, this felt like all over the place. But the cover that came with the arc is amazing. (Not the one you see here).

This series may seem bizarre to anyone reading the synopsis of the stories but I have become addicted to the Monster's Consorts Series! Romulus/Remus are not your typical twins in that they are conjoined twins but neither remain awake while the other is in control. Remus has been the twin in the previous stories that their brothers are concerned about due to his impetuous nature. That same impetuous nature is what prompts him into devising a plan with the help of his younger brother to finally go and get his own consort. Lorren is a woman in the village/town that Remus goes to find his missing love. Her life has been hard, and she is wondering if she can ever find a man who will love her for who she is. Never in her wildest dreams would she ever thought that one of the Four Horsemen of Destruction would become her perfect man/men. GREAT writing from a fabulous writer and I can wait to read the final brother's story next!.

This is the third story in this "Highly Engaging" series. This enjoyable story is about the two-headed Remus and Romulus deciding what to do with Lauren the consort whom Remus the Destroyer of Cities (Four Horseman), God of war, flew back to his home was a highly entertaining story to read. Lauren who is living with her demanding and demeaning mom, has no job, no boyfriend, but dreams of being loved with a happy future is sitting in the plaza after driving her mom to the salon when Remus lands in a plaza asking, "Who will be my consort?". Lauren volunteers after the crowd dissipates and the cops start to show up. What happens when Romulus wakes up naked in bed with Lauren and afterwards was an engaging story that grabbed me from the beginning to the end. There is lots of drama, steamy romance, touches of humor with very likable characters that are written in a wonderful storyline in this copy I'd received and volunteer to read and review.
Remus has seen two of his brothers take consorts and decides to take one for himself. The only problem is his twin brother ... who he shares a body with. With a face on each side of their head Romulus and Remus are never awake at the same time so there are definitely communication issues. Romulus seems to be more level headed while Remus is a bit more wild so what will happen when Romulus wakes to find Remus kept him under long enough to take a consort? I loved this story even more than the previous book ,Thing. I especially loved the scene where he met Lauren where she impulsively volunteers to be his consort. I really liked the characters and and the way the relationships developed and there was some tension throughout the storyline to keep the reader hooked. There was a good lead in to the next book and now I am really looking forward to that I received an arc copy of this book and this is an honest and voluntary review
