Your task is to go through this book, read about these golden nuggets that he shares and then put the lessons in action, by adapting them to your situation.”

“I am a firm believer of living my life on my own terms. The older I get the more I live this way... For it is as simple as this - There are no rules: only those that you place upon yourself. .
Moreover, how will you do this? You will shout from the mountaintops. ‘SCREW IT!’ Do not wait to be asked. I give you permission. Get on and do what needs to be done.”

I won Screw It! : What If You Can Turn It Around And Live The Life You Want On Your Own Terms? in a Good Reads Giveaway. I received a Huge Paperback Workbook with a bright blue cover of amateur design and 350 bright-white pages of huge margins and readable plain black font.
I read Screw It! from front to back and I read it quite carefully because I wanted to be absolutely certain that it was the propped up sham that it was revealing itself page-by-page to be. I didn't want to bail out half-way through on the off chance that all of the life changing revelations were in small print on the very last page. I didn't want to judge it on its many misspellings, its poor grammar, its countless typographical errors, its continual misuse of the word "been" for "being". I didn't want to discount the message for the weird right-side text justification or the sentences that ended abruptly with commas instead of periods never to resurface or complete. I didn't want to be jaded by the fact that all of the footnotes were URL references to online resources that simply referred back to its own marketing program. No, I wanted to know for myself, for certain, incontrovertibly, 100%, word-by-word that Screw It! was an absolutely hollow vessel of mindless marketing self-help prattle of the greatest cliche' and of the least delivery of any sort of content or counsel.
And the most surreal part as I read it was the grandiose manner with which the author carried on about his accomplishments, all the while describing the most amateurish of outcomes and the most dismal of failures, along side the most immature self-adulation and boorish of expectations. I have never heard anyone boast so ardently over such meager posits of mediocrity and ignorance. It reads like a 300-page Nigerian Scam Email.
Screw It! is ludicrous in its assertions, ridiculous in the content it offers up in proof of its own claims, makes no attempt to deliver upon the promises that it makes, and cannot even accurately regurgitate the self-help blather that it is attempting to emulate. It is quite possibly the most useless thing that I have ever read, but I can only say for certain that I cannot recall anything worse.

Screw It! is one of those books that makes you stop and think about your life and what you need to do to make yourself happy. Are you in the right career or would you be happier saying screw it and changing to something different? Are you happy with where you are now or do you need to make some changes to make life a better experience for you? This book make s you stop and think and re-evaluate your life and where you are heading. I had already made some of the choices and changes in mine, but it made me take another look and do some re-evaluating on if those second choices were good ones or not. I say read it and take a second look at your own life and where you are headed, do you need to make some changes? Do you need to say Screw it?
This book is a great motivator! It talks about the author's life and how he was able to make a life for himself that he enjoyed while not committing to a traditional job that ties a person down and can suck the life out of them. He takes his readers on a journey of going from his childhood struggles to living an enjoyable adult life without the normal constraints that many people face, and he shares how he did it, his mindset that allowed him the freedom to achieve his goals, and how virtually anyone can live their best life if they truly want to focus and make it happen for themselves.
While I appreciate the sentiment that this book is attempting to convey, there were quite a few grammatical and typographical errors. I tried not to let that part bother me, but they were so common that it did kind of detract away from the message. However, the photos and quotes were inspiring and did get me to thinking more about my own life, so kudos are due in that regard.
