Adversity is inescapable; temptations and trials are a fact of life. That's what makes this 60-day devotional a must-read guide for Christians of all ages. Verse after verse reveals a sovereign God who stands with us in our trials—He is the Father of “suffering with.” As we walk in the shoes of a fellow struggler, we discover that knowing our Creator is infinitely more important than understanding our hardships.
Overcoming the Hurt is a good 60 day devotional. Each day includes Scripture, Faith Quest, Faith Trek, Faith Tools, and Notes for Growth. Each day is full of inspiration. Recommended. Five stars.
Seeing this book, I just want to cry. I don’t know why and it sounds dramatic… but I feel hurt just by reading and seeing the cover. I hate to say I’m not enduring with pain but I also hate to say I’m enduring with pain. Oh, why am I so confusing?
DRAMA OVEEEEEEEEEEEEERR! I’m so sorry for that.. The feels, just the feels!

As a person, it’s not easy to endure with pain. It’s hard to ignore when in reality.. it seems like it’s the end of the world. There are many reasons to be hurt.. but there are also many reasons to be happy. I love the idea of this book. This book gives light and hope to those who are hurt.
All of us endure with this feeling. It’s inevitable and so we must know how to handle it. We can’t be used to such ‘cause it’s not like having to live happy—to be happy is different from enduring with pain. It’s not even close to similar.
I think the authors of this book for being my friend. They’re not actually a personal friend but, this book—their writing, served as a stand for me. It’s like I’m a doll that can’t stand without a hand.
I don’t know but when I try to read this book, it makes me feel sad even though I’m not hurt. I think it’s because it hurts me knowing there are people who are badly hurt. I mean, they won’t buy this book if they weren’t feeling such.. right? This book gave me so much to remember. Thank you for the reminders and the positive thoughts from this book! My favorite parts of the book were the Faith tools. (:
Overcoming the Hurt is a 60 day devotional that goes through the entire book of Job, which I thought was very interesting.
I read the book in a day, and I feel like this may be a book that's meant to be read slowly, so I plan on rereading it eventually to get the most out of it.
I liked how the daily readings were very short and quick to read, which makes me think this would be a great daily devotional. I recommend it.
