There is no limit to one's right to speak about many points of view and many interpretations; but to teach that a particular position is true, that in turn is a violation of academic freedom. I remember a faculty meeting during which my colleagues discussed what should be covered in Introduction to Philosophy. I suggested that the question of truth be made a primary topic to which one of my colleagues responded, "whose truth?" Some of my colleagues snickered. I should have asked, "whose freedom?"
