Strangely Scary Funny #1-4

The Librarian Series: Books 1-4, A Supernatural Horror Comedy

Rate this book
A hilarious supernatural fantasy and horror comedy set in one of the strangest towns in fiction. COMPLETED 12 BOOK SERIES. Readers say they can't put the books down. Fun entertainment.
Kevin never planned on being a librarian. He especially didn't plan on being a librarian in a town that doesn't appear on any map, where the books talk back, and fictional characters occasionally escape their pages.

But when the previous librarian dies face-first in his oatmeal (poisoned, naturally), Kevin makes the mistake of trying on a ring (at the mayor's insistence) that obligates him to become Eden's new librarian. His first assignment? Find the murderer of his predecessor.

He's now responsible for a library where Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde argue about book rights, a ghost writer (nosy and noisy) haunts the stacks, and something in the basement that looks suspiciously like a foster mother from his youth wants him dead.

Oh, and there's Olive, the waitress who is a witch, a murder suspect, whose father is technically dead but still lives with her, and who Kevin is definitely falling for.

Kevin has his hands full. If you’re up for a wild adventure, lots of laughs, and action with a touch of romance, read today
Don’t miss out on the series that readers are calling “hilarious,” “enthralling,” and “a refreshing original story.” Read Now.

I write supernatural horror suspense comedy (a mix of dark humor, quirky, silly humor and satire.), .

I love many kinds of stories. I especially love off-beat, quirky stories with unusual characters and settings that have a sense of wonder and humor.…Falling in love with stories saved me from a life of crime (I’m only sort of kidding; they did save me from something). A lot of my main characters are adopted. Like them, I was adopted. I seem to write often about identity. I live in Austin, Texas. I have no horses or cowboy hats. I do have a 125 pound sheep dog. I’ve taught college, been a bartender and waiter and am now a full-time writer.

I've had five novels traditionally published and something like fifteen independently published. My independently published series, Strangely Scary Funny, is, by far, my most popular.

I like writing most anything. My grocery lists are excellent.

Original, funny, I read them straight through.

Pros: Original story line. Easy to read.
Cons: occasional incorrect word used or duplicate words (less so). Just distracting and only about 4 instances.
I am sure the part with the book characters talking to the main character are great for someone...i skip those pages. It doesn't do anything to push the story, interesting a little...but I'm not a fan of those parts.
Love Fluffy.

Sometimes, and this is not a complaint....I am surprised the book is ending. It's the style the writer uses.

these books do a great job of showing the main character and his girlfriend without the romance novel excerpts. I hate those! just keep it vague for me. :D

Can't wait for the next book or two!

Creepy but enjoyable read.

I’m surprised how much I enjoyed these first four books in this series. It’s an unusual story which gets more unusual the more you read. Main character is Kevin, son of Lucifer and expected to bring about Armageddon. But Kevin does not want to do that. He is also the Librarian in Eden (yes, that Eden), and responsible for the safety of Eden’s population. Which include; Witches, evil Wizard, a suspicious Mayor who may or may not be evil and a Zombie among others.

absolutely one of my favorite reads!

Can’t even describe this, so check it out for yourself! I don’t think I’ve read something this weirdly witty and absurdly relevant in a while.

Great series

Starts a little rough but the author really gets in the groove by book 2. After that, I couldn't put it down.

Very entertaining.

Enjoyed most of the stories. I am familiar with the Librarian stories on TV. Your writing is different but enjoyable.

A thoroughly enjoyable, entertaining and engrossing surreal book which made me laugh, especially when 'Fluffy' the hellhound came on the scene. I would read the author again.

Stories that makes you wonder

Love it when they use other stories we know of but a twist in what we see and what supposed to happen.

I really enjoyed reading this first of a series. The hero of the story is interesting and compelling. The ending had some unexpected twists which was a bonus. I also liked the author's sorta snarky sense of humor in the book. I look forward to reading the second installment.
