Mephisto is relaxing on his throne in his domaine when Cupid pops in for a visit. They talk and it takes a turn that has Mephisto entering into a card game. Then he loses and now he has to do Cupid;s job for the season. The stakes are high..if he doesn't get 100 couples and a few other items thrown in by Cupid he loses his throne and realm.
Raven is a young woman who owns a gothic style wedding planner business. Somehow Mephisto finds himself with her and her business.
The problem he has is that he isn't taking the shooting of the arrows seriously so the results go very awry. Try mayhem and chaos awry. Then Raven takes him in hand and starts to teach him about her business but also about love and it's properties. Somewhere along the way while helping her with the planning he takes an interest in her. Then out of nowhere he feels a tug and realizes he has a daughter in the human realm. He sends Raziel to track her. Then he sends another demon to track that demon. Now he discovers there seems to be a conspiracy going on and he's gotten drawn into something with Raven. He doesn't want to label it because the idea of what that label is will freak him out. Raven is very drawn to him. They spend enough time together that it was inevitable. Now he has to figure out what he wants and who to trust.
Will he actually get himself together to manage that?
This is the cutest story that is dark but with hints of humor running throughout. The reader will feel like they are sitting in bleachers cheering both of the characters on with an occasional hiss and boo thrown in.

The premise of this book had me grinning from the start. The mere thought of a demon having to take on Cupid's role, was hilarious. Then teamed with a goth woman who loves love, well!
Raven's a Wedding planner and Mephisto loses a bet and has to do Cupid's job! This had me chuckling from the start a grumpy Demon and a Goth woman! So much fun, with great banter as these two have to work through their differences and find a common ground. And the heat... always enjoyed and just perfect between this pair. :D

That is the premise of this story and it is a good story. I especially loved the pink wings Mephisto was forced into wearing. At least he managed to be at a wedding where Raven was the wedding planner. Big shock, Raven plans Gothic weddings and Mephisto ends up becoming her assistant. The feelings growing between these two was a thing of beauty to watch develop. The trouble Mephisto caused was hilarious. I thoroughly enjoyed this story.

OMG 😱 this was a great book. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was captivating and inspiring. I was on the verge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. Mephisto and human Raven love story was sweet and romance. Their love was tested in this moment as they couldn’t fight the temptation anymore longer. Will they heated the odds of being together forever.
