Love is risky, but then, sometimes it's the most beautiful thing in the world.

Alexis Collins has had the perfect life, a life a kid can only dream about. Coming from a wealthy family, she got everything she ever asked for. Everything, except the one guy who will not return her feelings. Even though she has Brad, who is as sweet as can be, she isn’t fully happy, so she breaks it off with him.
Ethan Harper has landed a job he has been working hard for. He is now one step closer to his dream job of being a Homicide Detective. He knows Alexis wants him, but he is trying hard to fight his attraction to his sister’s best friend. He has his reasons for not pursuing her. Ethan is trying to put her best interest at heart, even though he pretty much knows he is fighting a losing battle.
With Ethan being deployed to Iraq soon, time is running out for him to tell her how he really feels.
Will Ethan finally give into his feelings and let Alexis into his heart? Or will his attraction to her only bring danger?

4.5 I LOVE IT STARS!!!

"Love is risky, but then, sometimes it's the most beautiful thing in the world."

Nothing prepared me as I go through with this book. When I read the Prologue I was like...
Wow..Wait... I guess I need to brace and buckle up myself because I know right there and then this book will give me one helluva ride.

Torn into Pieces follows the story of Ethan and Alexis. Ethan is the brother of Kaylee from book 1&2 of this series, Alexis bestfriend whose husband is the bestfriend of Alexis boyfriend. Both have feelings for each other, but both aren't willing to take the risk. Get the picture?complicated as hell!

"Maybe it has been one -sided all along? I went over there, going to pour my heart out to him, knowing good well it might get stomped on, but I didn’t care at the time. At the time, I was confident he would feel the same way. Now? I have no idea. I’m not planning on holding my heart out for him to trample over anymore."

"I need to stay away. I will only break her heart. Besides, she has Brad, someone who can give her more than I can."

I love reading this book and enjoyed every moment of it. In fact, it took me a while to finish writing this review since I was still on a high from a series of rollercoaster ride of emotions. I say series because, wow! I don't know how Ms. Shelby did it but I was in awe with what I feel as I was reading the book. I was at first heartbroken...then swooning...then wanted to strangle someone...swooned again...felt sorry...wanted to smack someone...bawling like a baby..swooned again and then fell in love. The author really has her way working with the reader's emotions. See, I sometimes hated both the leads but then loved them to the nth level. I love how she writes it in a way that you wanted to put the book down because they infuriate you but you just couldn't because you can't keep from turning the pages to see what will happen next and to know what's really going on. With the twists and turns that keeps my heart beating fast and my mind wanting to seek for answers....wow...just wow...

I could definitely say this book is written incredibly. The moral of the story was portrayed and conveyed well. In the end it's safe to say...

" Love is risky and rewarding. Love is bliss and beautiful. Love is sometimes hard, yet it’s everlasting. And it is always raging in your soul."

And oh did I say this is my first Shelby Reeves' book? This wont be my last.

A must read!

Now we get to read about Alexis kaylee's best friend.
Alexis having trouble with choosing between two guy's they are both amazing but one is being difficult about stuff for two reasons age and him being deployed.
Brad is in love with her and she not and she in love with Ethan. Life of young love and their problems.
Ethan finally worked up the nerve and his reasons. He got the call he got deported. Mixed up happened that turned her world upside down and having a baby and sociopath after her. What happy ending for them

Well I thought the first 2 in this series were intense and an emotional rollercoaster, I have to say this one was even more so. I like that there is a great story to these, its not just sex. The characters are dealing with real issues, its everyday life so not far fetched or hard to believe it happening. I can imagine that many enlisted guys going through the feelings raised in this series, should they have a relationship when they know they are being deployed to a war zone? the risk that they wont return therefore leaving someone broken hearted back home. It is a hard one, though I guess it just comes down to the 2 people involved. there are so many things going on in this besides the detail of Ethan leaving, there's Brad, Kate and all the twists and turns, ups and downs. I have no hesitation in recommending this series to anyone that likes romance, with a twist of mystery and complex subject matter. I was at times on the edge of my seat, often screaming in my head at Ethan and Alexis both to sort themselves out. I thought I knew who was causing the bulk of the trouble but even with that there is a twist near the end, so don't jump to conclusions its not all as it seems. A great read, I thoroughly enjoyed.

Received a copy for my honest review.

Not sure where to start. The story line is crazy. The main character has no back bone and is wishy-washy. Characters are switched in certain paragraphs. Punctuation is not used correctly. Unfortunately I just couldn't get into the book at all.

Pieces

Adored this series ❤️. Enough conflict and bits of drama to keep you edging and the romance wasn't like bk 1 or 2 but more than makes up for it with continued guessing.

**SPOILER FREE**

This is a remarkable series! One not to take lightly! Does go into situation that may not be sutiable or comfortable for some!

With saying that, I will say again, a remarkable series! The plot of the story will pull at the heart and the characters are easy to relate to. Each book is well written and easy to follow. A great start for this author!

This story was amazing and couldn't believe how much these characters went through for someone mistake. But i will say that everything workout in its own time. Loving a true soul mate doesn't fade away but it's a everlasting love to remember forever. Emotional and heartache story but awesome read.
