Two-Faced: Short Story

Rate this book
Lucille never intended to hurt Bonnie's feelings. She only wanted to keep the door closed during the night to avoid Bonnie's bad side from emerging--the never ending blood dripping down her tentacle-like face. If Lucille had known it would exacerbate the existing nightmare, she wouldn't have said a word.

This was a ghost story where the child Lucille is the only one who can see, feel, and hear what is happening though dissmissive, like some parents are I still had the feeling her mom had an inkling but was in a state of denial. Blaming Lucille for her behavior when it was her reaction from being terrorized. This hit home for me in a lot of ways. The details of what was happening from that haunting were scary and seemed super accurate even though we really know nothing about any of that stuff definitively. I liked this one a lot and it made me uneasy. Great short story!
