Anastassia has always had her entire life planned. Determined not to become like her mother and rely on a loveless marriage for survival, Stassi built a successful event planning business. In a world where her next client could be anyone, from a famous ball player, to a corporate millionaire, she has made it a point to keep her name clean. But when her sister Charlie gets mixed up with a married man the scandal is disastrous.
Stassi loses it all just by association, and when the opportunity to earn it all back comes along she must decide what the price is for her soul.
When Dayton "Day" Night, makes her an offer she can't refuse, Stassi straddles a line between business and pleasure. It's a lines so thin she can't determine what's fair play. It's a professional boundary that she swore to never cross with a client, but then again, everyone and everything has a price.
I am enjoying this series. It’s a good page turner. It had to many sex scenes for me. I was not prepared for the ending. I am looking forward to the next book to see what happens.
4.5 ⭐️ The book is a raw and unflinching exploration of grief, heartbreak, and the desperate search for solace. The characters journey through loss is messy, painful, and at times downright selfish—but it’s also achingly human. Ms. Antoinette doesn’t offer us neat resolutions or tidy morals; instead, she dives headfirst into the darkness, showing how loss can warp us, consume us, and leave us feeling isolated in our pain.
The writing is gripping and painfully honest, pulling you into their world and refusing to let go. It’s a story that stays with you long after the last page. Highly recommend for anyone ready to confront the complex, often ugly truths of what it means to grieve loss of love.
I like this book better than the first in the series because I just couldn’t stand Demi although he still pissed me off in this book as well but I was not in no way prepared to be cryin with this book, Day was an lil butt hole but I’m looking forward to book three to see how him and Stassi play out… aw yea an I always knew Livi was a lil whore lol
First off I listened to this on audible... Wesleigh Siobhan needs an Oscar for her performance.. I'm so gutted by the ended and the emotions.. gosh not just the hospital but also Charlie. Love stories that can pull me into not just the passion, but the love, the laughter and dang even the pain definitely deserve a round of applause.
I kind of love and hate I previewed the reviews and even the description as it let's you know what to expect is going to happen..I needed that because I'm an empath and would've probably balled my eyes out, but on the flip I knew what was going to happen and I still cried.. Lol I'm just sap 😢🫣
There is so much going on in this 2nd book in the series, but surprisingly and appreciatively the writing is cohesive with enough introduction if you accidentally didn't read the first book in the series (Birds of a Feather), you'd be ok. But I'd advise reading the first book first you'll definitely follow the story and the feelings better.
I also liked how there were multiple character storylines happening and I could keep up and even root for the different characters in this story it felt like every couple character had main character energy but you still knew who were the main protagonists.
I may pause for a bit before book 3 because I'm really emotional about the end of this book and the foretelling of the emotional rollercoaster book 3 may be about to take me on.
If you read this definitely take care of you 🫶🏾... Whew! 🫣

I have a love hate relationship with A.A. I started with her ethic series and somehow got here. Let me tell you these last 2 books have completely pissed me off but in a good way 😭. I am so mad with all of the trauma and gaslighting but so happy with the bits of love that is shown. Granted I still hate Demi and Charlie together maybe that’ll change in book 3 for me. I doubt it though, the way he gaslights her and commands so much from her but does the opposite makes my tail itch lol. I hope she leaves him and his toxicity. Charlie is correct in her hesitation to not let Demi in by having a baby from him. He runs back to his ex wife when he feels low. He throws things he’s done for “her” back in her face as if he didn’t have a choice in the matter. He’s selfish and highkey disgusting. I love how Stassi stands on business compared to her sister though.
The end of this book though was a traumatic chefs kiss. I want to jump right into book 3 but the world wind I know it’s going to take me on has me scared. Will it bring the family together or continue to tear them apart 😭.
I also agree Wesleigh deserves a freaking Oscar for her performances in these books..playing all parts she really is one of the best to do it.

Ashley Antoinette delivers another emotionally intense installment with Any Given Day, Every Fu*king Night, the powerful follow-up to Birds in the Sky. This book picks up right where the first left off and pulls you even deeper into the raw, complicated world of its characters. Packed with themes like betrayal, trust issues, abortion, suicide, and the painful journey of healing broken relationships, this story doesn’t hold back. The toxic relationship between the main characters continues to unfold, but what makes this book stand out is how the perspective shifts, offering a deeper look into their emotional wounds and the patterns that keep pulling them together—and tearing them apart. The story is captivating from start to finish, and the ending completely broke me. I’m fully locked in and can’t wait to see how it all comes together in the final book. Ashley Antoinette has a way of writing characters that feel so real, you can’t help but root for their healing, no matter how messy the journey gets.
I’m a feeler. God crafted me to feel things so deeply. Ash never disappoints. Her pen leaves her soul empty as she literally pours it out over every single page. Her artistry is u matched. As God stated about Solomon becoming king. There has never been an author like her before and never will there be after her.
This story shines light on the consistent changes of life. How some people roll with the punches and others buckle under the pressure of it all. People often say it takes a village to raise a child…what happens when life consumes everyone at once and the child/children are left to figure it out? How do the adults repair the broken pieces if blessed with a second chance? What the best next step???
In the world of Ashley Antoinette anything is possible. Real life meets a beautiful fantasy where grace is taught, prayer is a must and edges well I hope you got the best gel and a real good scarf because baby you gone need it.
There is so much to this story that I love but so much that I dislike too! Very well written and captured me from the beginning like Book 1…but I think Charlie and Demi bothered me more in this book than in the 1st book!
**SPOILERS**
Love me some Nyair!!! Football Coach & Pastor…whew that man!!! Yes, Lo!!!!
Ummm Day can go to hell! I really disliked what he said about Stassi being the help! I know he tried to redeem himself, and maybe in the next book he will but in this book I disliked him!
I know Charlie is young, and we all make decisions we aren’t proud at young ages but he trying to profess her love for Demi after the situation with his son really bothered me! And made me want to tell her to pull herself together!
And Demi, he can go to hell too! Because the way he plays both sides is irritating! When he told her to leave the hospital…he treats her like a child! Not as his equal! He treats her like a side piece!
It was a lot going on in this book. We have three different storylines going on here…Charlie and Demi, Stassi and Day, and Lauren, Demi, and Nyair. Demi is still conflicted and stirring up mess. Lauren is placing the majority of her blame on Charlie when it should be directed towards Demi. Demi is not listening to Charlie at all. He is ‘little girling’ her and she is allowing it. Her fear of abandonment is just so strong. I hate that DJ died in the end. He paid the price for his parents’ selfishness. As much as I want these characters to get it together and see success in their relationships, these relationships just feel hard.
Reading this book made me feel like it’s a setup for the next one. Wasn’t as good as Birds in the Sky but still a very great read. I preferred Birds because it was some feel good moments in it but AGDEFN was just so full of struggle.
Just when you think dysfunction can’t get any worse it does. I don’t wanna give too many spoilers. My FAVORITE part of this book is Lauren. Ashley finds the PERFECT person for her and it’s someone we’ve been dying to see in a relationship. Demi and Charlie are still fighting for their relationship. Demi is still triggering Charlie past wounds unknowingly and her past abuse will have you in tears. Day’s past trauma has him treating women like slot machines. Everyone’s story in this book is complicated. And the ending is gonna blow yo mind!!!!! *cliffhanger. Have your tissues ready and be ready to be up all night with this one.
Wheww 😮💨… I guess book one was the warm-up because this book came out swinging.
I can honestly say I liked this one better. The story felt heavier, more layered, and I really enjoyed all the different POVs.
Man… I’m so sad for DJ 🥺. For a child to see their parents together since birth and then suddenly not even living in the same house anymore, that’s a huge transition, and it broke my heart. I’m still at a loss for words about it, honestly.
So much happened in this book that my head is still spinning. I gotta see how book three turns out because after everything that went down here, I know it’s about to get real.
Ash’s pen game is dangerous. And nobody is safe once she gets started. That being said, I’m loving Lauren and Nyair. And at the opposite end of the spectrum, I can’t stand Demi and Charlie, together and separately. My heart goes out to Demi because of what he has to go through but I find him unlikable. And Charlie’s immaturity is on full display, more so than it was in book one. I will gladly take a mental break from those two toxic people. But I’m rooting for Lauren/Nyair and Stassi/Day. On to book three!
This book was so good but had my anxiety all over the place. Lauren is not to be played with well, no scorned woman, for that matter. Nyair will finesse the panties right off....Mr. Smooth operator. Demi needs to get a hold of his temper and learn to communicate. Day is just like a man....chase you down just to play in your face. I have to keep reminding myself that Charlie is soooooo young. Oh, my heart breaks for Demi and Lauren. This book was read in one day and now I have a headache.
Listen Ashley Antoinette knows the recipe for a good book. I've felt every emotion known to man reading this book. At this point, Nyair is the only man worth dating thus far. Demi needs to get himself together. Charlie is still young and can bounce back. Baby these are old people problems. Charlie and Stassi should be face down ass up on someone's yacht doing body shots off somebodies son. Chile let me move on to the next book.
Of course this book like every other book she wrote is amazing. Let’s get into the book, I didn’t expect the ending! I think this is one of the saddest endings I have read from all Ashley’s book… Trigger warning for sure! I liked Charlie in part 1 can’t stand her now she just seems so selfish to me. Like girl suck it up and grow up! I love Day! He’s my new Meek! Buying book 3 now! I was so tired of Ethic that this series is so refreshing!!!
Demi stayed on my last nerves in this book. I am starting to realize that he is a pick me (men can be pick me’s too). When Charlie set boundaries he ran right to Lauren where he knew she would submit to his every word. Last thing about Lauren please stop blaming the female and hold YOUR ex hubby accountable. I loved seeing the relationship play out between Stassy and Day hope to hear more about them in the upcoming books..I gave it a 3 stars due to the un called for sex scenes.
Wow! This book took me out! It was so raw and real. The heartbreaking emotions and heartaching realities. Trying to find the strength to just be. I am torn up with the ending. Devastated, actually. The next book will be even harder.
Great job! Tough material. Hard subjects and life-lessons. But, growing up is hard as hell.
this is the second book to birds in the sky and this is basically going more into day and tasia's relationship how they trying to explore their feelings for each other sexually and emotionally. Demi is on cloud 10 but Charlie's feels a bit overwhelmed with Demi controlled environment. Lauren meets a new boo and 🫢
So now I feel like I have to go back and finish reading the last book of Ethic and the Butterfly series. I wasn’t expecting the ending. I need to see how all the characters will unfold in book 3.
Birds in the Sky didn’t hurt this bad 😭. However, I still can’t stay any of these characters. Maybe Day, but he on jury still. NYAIR THO??? Pastor??? Omg I love him. Lauren doesn’t deserve him. I also think Charlie & Demi still don’t deserve a happy ending. So messy.
Emotions are raw and everyone has valid feelings so it’s hard to pick a side. Torn, but Charlie needs to grab her sanity and run. Have a simple normal life!
