[This is Part I of Book Two of the Tweet Hearts series. Part II is coming in June 2025. For the full experience, read Parts I, II, and III]
Marisol and Greg met in Twitter Crush, and they are now in a longish distance relationship. Marisol is a widowed single mom with a successful dermatology practice in West Virginia. Greg is a divorced dad fighting custody issues with his ex while trying to advance in his career as a pathologist at a university research center in Pittsburgh. It's refreshing that the two main characters are over forty and enjoying a steamy relationship without trying to mimic the antics of twenty-something lovers. Greg and Marisol have a lot of baggage to sift through with past relationships, kids, friends, careers, and struggles with anxiety. How will they handle former married friends who are suddenly uncoupling, diving into the dating pool, and inviting them in for a dip? What will Greg do when a grieving friend needs more comfort than he expects? Marisol and Greg try to navigate kids, friends, careers, and an unexpected twist no one sees coming in this installment of the Tweet Hearts Books.
A great follow-up to Twitter Crush as we dive back into the lives of Greg and Marisol and their budding relationship. But obstacles and mistakes get in the way of their happily ever after at seemingly every turn, and Marisol is left with a lot to think about. Will she reconcile with Greg or will she decide to put an end to their budding relationship before it can even really start? Can't wait for Part 2!
Marisol and Greg have a real, complex, flawed, and perfectly imperfect relationship. The characters and story are real and relatable. I am looking forward to the next installment.
