Hey there! I’m so glad you found your way to my humble page :)
I’m Eva, just a regular girl with a big imagination who fell in love with writing.
In 2023, I decided to write a book. What started as just an idea slowly took shape, and almost a year later, in the summer of 2024, my first novel, When Everyone Left But You, was finally complete. It's a love story filled with ups and downs, sweet moments, and a bit of drama, but in the end...
Well, you didn’t think I’d spoil it for you, did you? :3
Feel free to dive into the book and become part of a heartwarming story that’s sure to make you smile—and maybe even shed a tear or two. And for Kindle users, it’s free!
I’d love to hear your thoughts, so don’t hesitate to reach out, and we can even chat about the book :)
This is such an endearing novel. Wholesome romance and a touching premise makes this a heartwarming and cozy read.
I’m loving all the playful banter and developing relationship between our two MC’s. Such a feel good read!!!
The slow burn is real people, expect a solid unfurling of two lives that have been damaged, leaving scars that need healing. As we turn page after page, we connect with the world of hurt and road to triumph these two must take. It’s a story of compassion and understanding, one with wholesome love and forgiveness.
If you want a seriously wholesome and cozy read that will pull at your heartstrings and give you something to think about after you’ve finished the book, this is for you!!!
Would you like to read the book where the world is picture perfect and very pretty? Starting from fragrant hot waffles drizzled with honey and a cube of cold unsalted butter melting as you open your mouth.. to the beautiful young lady slowly putting on soft and comfortable clothes on her fair and silky, well conditioned skin.. before taking a walk in an enchanted forest and saving the life of a little bird with a broken wing! that a vet offers to treat immediately and without any wait for an appointment.. Then, suddenly, the world stops being perfect and a reality of broken family, abusive father, indifferent mother is being crashed upon the reader.. quite unexpectedly. And the beautiful young lady is trying to commit suicide.. but then, fast enough, things are looking up. She is saved by a young man (who also had a troubled past), and they slowly fall in love, and White Christmas ensues, and they move in together with his sleepy head on her lap for he was tired from building furniture all day for their first flat together.
Did it all sound like a real life? Of that I am not sure, but it is possibly not important. The style of this book is whimsical and fairy tale like; the happy ending is very pleasing, and the reader is left desperately hoping that a young couple will not be affected by their early life troubles, and will be happy every after, despite all the odds.
What else?? The illustrations are really nice, and the descriptions are thorough and detailed- which helps one to paint a picture of what is happening in the book.

Definitely a sweet heartfelt romance. I loved Grace and Lucas! The author did a phenomenal job making you feel like you’re there in the story as well. I didn't want the story to end. I will definitely read more books by Eva Dabrowska!
I received a free ebook from the author in exchange for a review. This is review is honest, unbiased, and completely my own.
This book had a profound impact on me, drawing me deeply into the characters' lives and emotions. The author's portrayal of complex relationships and internal struggles kept me fully invested until the very end. The narrative left a lasting impression, raising thought-provoking questions about human nature and the complexities of love.
When Everyone Left But You by Eva Dabrowska is a profoundly moving novel of Grace and Luca, two unique individuals whose personal turmoil is reflected in each other’s souls and offers a glimpse into their complicated lives and relationship. The well-developed themes of internal conflict, past trauma, trust, and moving beyond pain to find love flow strong in the absorbing narrative and in the telling of a great story. The author showcases an exceptional talent for detail. Each scene is decorated with rich description where sights, smells, sounds, and the overall environment bring the story to life—a tangible and relatable world. The emotions expressed from the characters reflect reality and are echoes of what many of us may feel at any moment in our lives. It’s this true essence that the author captures so brilliantly, and the narrative executes each special moment with precision and integrity. The relationship between Grace and Luca develops at a realistic pace, each event setting the tone for unexpected trials and triumphs. Full of surprises, laughs, and tears, this story provides an amazing reading experience for the heart and soul.
This was such a sweet romance! I enjoyed getting to know Grace and Luca along with their stories. Descriptions of places were detailed, and I could imagine being there. The drawings / pictures before the start of each chapter were amazing and provided a small peek into that part of the story.
Thank you for allowing me to read this ARC! I absolutely loved it! The character development was something that improved over the chapters is something I enjoyed and shows good writing and technique! The town was cute and I loved Grace, she had such a cute personality and I automatically fell in love with her. I would definitely suggest this book if you're in the mood for a sweet and short romance book.
Meadow Creek is about as serene as it sounds—a quiet town with a lush landscape, idyllic hiking trails, cozy cafes, and breweries. Twenty-year-old Grace works at Meadow Creek’s cozy diner. When she isn’t there, the quiet woman prefers her own company—meditating and immersing herself in nature. Despite her desire for tranquility, a heavy darkness begins hovering over her, and she finds comfort in Luca.
Luca has come to Meadow Creek to escape the grief and heartbreak of his past. Working as a farm hand, he generally avoids people, but when he meets Grace, it stirs something in him, softening his heart.
The pair quickly develop a deep friendship, and they open up to one another, revealing their vulnerabilities. When the proverbial storm becomes too scary, the friends turn to one another. But when stronger feelings emerge, will their fear of being hurt stand in the way?
“When Everyone Left but You” by Eva Dabrowska is an endearing coming-of-age book about overcoming adversity and stepping out of your comfort zone. The novel follows Grace and Luca as they experience many firsts together and navigate the uncharted waters of a burgeoning romance. They become a soothing shoulder to cry on for one another when they try to make sense of their past traumas and confront new challenges. Themes of friendship, love, and self-discovery are deftly woven through the pages of this book.
It was apparent from the get-go that Grace and Luca were good for one another. They are unlike most people their age, as they possess a rare innocence. I enjoyed witnessing their playful interactions and sweet consideration toward one another. Both were inexperienced with romantic relationships’ emotional and physical aspects, and the pair had much to learn. Between their playful banter, penchant for silly games, and thirst for adventure, readers will be drawn to the pair’s undeniable chemistry and zest for life.
The author has done an excellent job of describing the challenges young people face. For Grace, there is unrelenting pressure from her parents and society to know what she wants to do for the rest of her life and to devote all her time to being successful. Grace isn’t in a hurry to grow up and faces criticism for it. Moreover, she grapples with bouts of intense depression that leave her questioning everything. Luca is trying to put the pieces of his shattered heart back together after being mistreated by people from his past. He deeply craves the closeness and security of a meaningful relationship, but his past traumas make him hesitant. Readers will easily connect with the relatable characters.
Readers drawn to coming-of-age stories with a wholesome romance will enjoy “When Everyone Left but You.” It’s especially good for teen/young adult readers, although all ages can enjoy the tender relationship. The character development is on point, and the author highlights life’s joys and sorrows, the importance of believing in yourself and being surrounded by positive influences. Don’t miss out on this touching story.
What happens when two wounded souls collide in a small town where everyone else seems to be moving on? Eva Dabrowski explores this poignant question in her latest novel, "When Everyone Left But You," a tender story about finding love in unexpected places—and finding yourself in the process.
At twenty, Grace stands at life's crossroads in the picturesque town of Meadow Creek. While her friends chase their dreams in bigger cities, she remains behind, searching for her own path forward. Working as a waitress in the local diner, Grace's life unexpectedly turns when Luca walks through the door. Their chance encounter sparks a connection neither was looking for, yet both might desperately need.
Dabrowski's prose shines in her evocative descriptions of Meadow Creek. The town comes alive through her masterful world-building—a haven nestled between mountains and lakes, where rushing streams mirror the characters' journey toward emotional freedom. The setting serves as more than a mere backdrop; it becomes a metaphor for Grace's evolution from innocence to self-discovery.
The author's skills are remarkable in crafting complex, flawed characters whose emotional barriers feel achingly real. Grace carries the weight of a troubled home life, her insecurities threatening to overwhelm her potential for happiness. Luca, scarred by a devastating breakup and a complicated relationship with his mother, has fortified his heart against the possibility of love. Their dance of attraction and hesitation creates a compelling tension that drives the narrative forward.
What sets this romance apart is Dabrowski's nuanced exploration of emotional trauma and healing. She doesn't rush her characters toward an easy resolution, instead allowing them to struggle with their demons in authentic ways. The frustration readers feel at their inability to communicate becomes a testament to the author's skill in crafting believable psychological barriers. When a dramatic turning point forces both characters to confront their fears, the payoff feels earned rather than contrived.
The novel's central question—whether two people carrying deep emotional wounds can forge a healthy relationship—resonates throughout the story. Dabrowski handles this theme with sensitivity and insight, showing how past trauma shapes present behavior while suggesting that growth and healing are always possible with the right person by your side.
"When Everyone Left But You" is more than a romance; it's a meditation on the courage required to remain vulnerable in a world that often punishes openness. Like the winding streams of Meadow Creek, the path to love isn't straight or predictable, but the journey is worth every uncertain step. A beautifully crafted story about love, healing, and the courage to begin again. Highly recommended for readers who appreciate character-driven romance with emotional depth.
This an extraordinary novel that deserves every one of its five stars. This book is a masterful exploration of human resilience, love, and the complexities of relationships, capturing the essence of what it means to be truly connected to another person, even in the face of overwhelming adversity. Dabrowska's writing is both lyrical and evocative, drawing readers into the emotional depths of the characters' experiences. The narrative is rich with vivid descriptions and heartfelt moments that resonate deeply with the reader. The characters are well-developed and relatable, each with their own unique struggles and triumphs that add layers of depth to the story. One of the techniques in Dabrowska’s writing is her ability to convey the raw and unfiltered emotions of its characters. Dabrowska does not shy away from exploring the darker aspects of human nature, but she balances this with moments of hope and tenderness that make the story incredibly moving. The relationship at the heart of the novel is portrayed with such authenticity and sensitivity that it feels both real and profound. The plot is intricately woven, with twists and turns that keep the reader engaged from beginning to end. Dabrowska's skillful use of language and her ability to craft a narrative that is both thought-provoking and emotionally charged make this book a standout in contemporary literature. “When Everyone Left but You” is a testament to the power of love and the strength of the human spirit. It is a book that will stay with you long after you turn the last page, leaving you with a renewed appreciation for the people in your life and the connections that bind us all. Eva Dabrowska has created a literary masterpiece that is sure to be cherished by readers for years to come. This is a must-read for anyone who appreciates beautifully crafted stories that touch the heart and soul. Five stars, without a doubt.
When Everyone Left But You is a sweet, heartfelt, slow-burn romance story great for older teenagers and young adult readers. Grace and Luca are both trying to find their places in this world as adults but still finding their way through the traumas and hurts of their past. You get to see the slow evolution of their trust and new friendship build into something more meaningful to each of them. This is not a spicy book and really focuses on the mental and emotional aspects of their budding relationship. I think the author did a nice job including the mental health aspects of navigating early adulthood with its new pressures and changes coupled with traumas from childhood. That can feel like a huge shift and can often be overwhelming and lonely, which made her characters so relatable. There are a couple heavy themes, but I think they were written with care and were a good representation of how quickly depressive thoughts can spiral. I enjoyed getting to know both Grace and Luca and feel them learn to be hopeful and look forward to their futures once again. I wanted to hold them both and let them know it was going to be okay. The author uses lots of details in her descriptions of the scenes. I felt like I could close my eyes and picture it all. From the beautiful landscapes to the sweet café and cabin in the woods, I felt like I was there with the characters.
*ARC* Okay this one has been waiting for a LOONG time😭
Anyway, I think the story itself was cute and cozy. I loved Grace and Lucas relationship and the way it evolved. However, I didn’t connect with either one of them. Was it because it was third person or because we really didn’t get many thoughts from them? I don’t know.
The reason for 3 stars is mostly because of the missing connections, but the time jumping in the book was just not me. 😖 I don’t get how we can get a moment where they’re together, and then all of a sudden the next chapter starts with “A few months has passed by”. WHAT HAPPENED IN THOSE MONTHS THOUGH🙏🏻🙏🏻
I do however definitely think this was a good job for someones first book, and there’s definitely a lot of potential for the author.
If you like third person, cozy small town, cute romance and characters that deal with real like problems, this book is definitely for you!🤩
Again, thank you so much for letting me read your book. 🫶🏻
This book is synonymous to that cozy feeling you get with fuzzy socks and a blanket by a fire or curling up next to a window on a rainy day and listening to the drops hit the glass. “When Everyone Left But You” brings you the heartwarming joys as well as the heart-wrenching sorrows as you follow the lives of the main protagonists, Grace and Luca.
For those of us who find ourselves in a dark headspace, where there’s nowhere to turn, this book serves as a reminder to keep hope alive. That storms will pass and there’s always another way.
Oh, and a bonus? The author beautifully captivates every scene. You’re there, seeing right through the characters’ eyes and feeling their emotions.
Definitely give “When Everyone Left But You” a read!
Grace lives a romanticized picture-perfect life: working at a cozy diner, yoga sessions, and cups of tea. When handsome Luca comes into her life, it seems nothing could go wrong. But picture-perfect isn't always perfect. The life Grace curates for herself is begins to crumble, the trauma, loneliness, and fear of her next step forward comes to a head. Grace and Luca must navigate their own healing as they draw closer together.
When Everyone Left But You is a beautifully written book. The words selected to depict Grace's life are a lovely cadence that emphasizing the romanticized feel. Grace and Luca make a lovely duo as they face life's fears together.
"When Everyone Left But You" portrays a journey of love between two people who meet in the picturesque town of Meadow Creek. As the relationship unravels, the vulnerabilities of Grace and Luca start to reveal themselves, haunted as both are by their troublesome pasts. It is a slow-burn romance, character-driven through the soul-searching mind of Grace. Somewhat diaristic in its content, the story is modest, characterised as it is by enriched detail and emotional depth. The illustrations in the book provide an additional nice touch. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a romance with a range of in-depth emotions.
This book is a poignant exploration of loneliness and resilience in the face of life’s challenges. The narrative is beautifully crafted, that drew me into the emotional landscape of the characters. The writing makes the experiences of isolation and connection deeply relatable.
The characters are well-developed, each with their own struggles and triumphs, which adds depth to the story. While the pacing can be slow at times, it allows for a more profound reflection on the themes of loss and the search for belonging.
Overall, this book is a touching read that will linger in your thoughts, making it a worthwhile addition to any bookshelf. And can we just appreciate the beautiful chapter art in this book it is absolutely amazing!
A huge thank you to Eva for sending me this, and I cannot wait to see what else you write in the future 🫶🏼
Beautifully written with heartfelt, picturesque scenes that make you feel like you are there, seeing and feeling what the characters are going through. A very sweet story of two individuals that overcome painful experiences and fear, in order to finally recognize that what they’d both been looking for, was each other.
The only reason I give a 4 star and not a 5, is it took a good portion of the book to really draw me in and keep me craving more. But I also loved the journey it took me on as the characters needed the time and space to allow their hearts to really open to each other.
Well done and I look forward to reading any books Eva Dabrowski writes in the future.
