This is bar none, the best book on remodelling I have found. Amazing ideas to save money and have a beautiful house. I ran out of sticky notes! I was putting them on every other page. This book is foundational on how to do a great remodel - whether you have a budget or not!

My only complaint? Where's the sequel?!?

Just picked this up at the library and flipped through. From what I know about building and remodeling - and checking some of the ideas with my husband - this book will give you a pretty good idea about many of the budget and design ideas you need to keep in mind with a remodel. Dee's not fond of the 24-center studs, but I think they'd work fine in some interior walls.
Save yourself some costly mistakes and take a pass at this book's planning and budgeting chapters BEFORE you start any kind of major home project.
