WHAT WOULD HAPPEN TO MANKIND IF AN ALIEN BACTERIA ARRIVED UNEXPECTEDLY ON OUR PLANET?
Meteorites land on Earth every day. Most no bigger than grains of sand. But what if one of them contained a bacteria that was alien to our planet? With mankind facing the greatest danger it has ever known, a small band of humans desperately seek help from the most unexpected place - an ancient bond between two worlds that had long been buried. As the children's search for their friend continues, danger lurks in the most innocent of places. Vol. 2 The New Surge of the Red Plague Amazon Publishing Manual The idea for the Moon Stealers arrived quite unexpectedly one morning when myself and my son were getting ready to go out. He asked me to tell him a story so I randomly 'have you heard the one about the Moon Stealers?' Only a wild and exciting story would be good enough for my son so during our time in the bathroom we threw loads of ideas at each other and concocted an early form of the story. Later, as I started to write it down so that he could draw some pictures to go with it, I found the ideas grew organically and two years later, the four book series was complete.
At some point in Tim's childhood, he was abducted by aliens and sent on a voyage of knowledge and discovery across the universe. Eventually the aliens realised how pointless this was and, as a failed student, he was returned to Earth and left with a family who brought him up as a human bean. But, the persistent memories of new worlds, dragons and other creatures, continued to knock at his frontal lobe, desperately trying to break out. To avoid making a mess and calm his imagination, Tim began writing as a way to communicate with Earthlings. Fuelled by Chilli and Nachos and a bottle of wine, Tim manages to balance a love of loud rock music and fast cars (preferably red!) with emotional chic flicks, smart leather shoes and a well tailored suit. He has successfully infiltrated the humans and hides behind the façade known as a family. He learns from his children, but is regularly told to stop acting like a child by his wife. Naturally shy and unsociable by nature, he is selective of the human company he keeps, preferring to be around old books, bonsai and art. He cries at 'It’s a wonderful life' but sulks if fed evil vegetables disguised as Parsnips or Peas. He is bored by mundane conversation, excited by architecture and castles and fuelled by Caramel Latte Macchiato's. Occasionally, he likes to catch up with old acquaintances on Tatooine, Westeros, and Middle Earth, and stare at fantasy and concept art as if it is a window to his childhood adventures. He is always trying to learn lessons from the masters; Mr Charles Darwin and Mr Lionel Ritchie, about life and love. Tim's galactic mission is to translate his brain activity into a language that inspires and entertains you, transports you to different worlds and grants you an audience with the characters you have dreamt about, but never dared to remember. All of this in an attempt to redeem himself with his childhood alien abductors and travel the stars once more.
I was given this book in return for an honest review. Having read the first in this series I needed to read this one. The first one left me needing to know what happens now? The Magical Sir Edward leads Joe, Max, and Scarlet into the Underworld which is a magical realm ruled by the Faeries. They are hoping the queen will not only help them find Peter, who is there somewhere, but will help them fight the Moonstealers who they left behind. For Now! On there journey they find that the queen is evil and corrupt and she has Peter. They will have to wield their magic and get the help of the creatures of the Faerie realm to complete their quest. In order to get the help of the Farie creatures in fighting the Moonstealers, they must first help the Faerie defeat the evil queen and still save Peter in the process. They will come across shapeshifters, Griffins, and creatures of all sorts. Some friends and some foes. Through battles, adventures, the magic of the Silver Bough, and new allies, will they be able to finish their quest or will the evil queen and the Moonstealers win in the end. A quote from the book, " If we need help to rid our world of the Mooonstealers, we must join forces with what is right and honorable in this world too." This is a fun adventure filled fantasy book. I would think any kid would enjoy this series, I know I did.
I was given this book by the author for my honest review
My Review: No words can describe how excited I was to read this book especially how after the first one ended. When I had gotten the email from the author saying he would like me to review this I was jumping up and down and rushed through the book I was reading at just to get to this book! Crazy Edgar,Max, Joe and Scarlet have no idea what they are getting into when trying to help the Faerie home from the evil queen. The adventures or fights they get into had me on the edge of my seat for most of the book! I couldn't put it down at all til I had it finished, which took me 2 days. I'm not sure if that part will upset the author or make him proud that his writing is amazing! The bad part (yes there is a bad part) is that this book in this series ended in another cliffhanger! UGH! Tim Flanagan how can you do this to me again! Not to mention I have to wait til book 3 comes out, trust me I will be bugging you and stalking your facebook page to see how far along you are and when this book is coming out! I hope this series never ends and that all the adventures everyone goes through never stops. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a good read and a adventures that add in paranormal side. My Star Ratting: 5 out of 5 stars
This is book 2 in the Moon Stealers Series, and it leaps into more adventure.
Sir Edgar, Joe, Scarlet and Max have entered a portal that takes them into the underworld, which is at war. They continue looking for Peter, while trying to get help from the Faerie Queen to get rid of the Moon Stealers. But without knowing who to trust and where safety is, they may be to late to save Peter and Earth.
I love this series, it's very entertaining and it's a great read for teens also. It has a mix of characters that brings the story to life. Can't wait for book 3!!
I found it was quite an exciting mystery and adventure series thus far as this is the second in the series that I have this far read. So, I would like to recommend it for five stars and for kids especially ages 12-16. I received this ebook for free and in return, here is my honest review. Great Work Tim! By. Angela
