What the hell did I just read?
But man, it was one of the most bizarre and funny things I ever read. Sexy? Not necessarily, but being a bizarro erotic comic just further adds to its humor.

Was kann man schon groß zu diesem Manga sagen? Der Stil war sehr gut auch wenn der Gott Zeus etwas zu glatt für meinen Geschmack ist. Die ersten drei Geschichten mit dem Gott Priapus sind keine die man zu ernst nehmen sollte, vor allem mit seinen göttlichen Fähigkeiten wie Männer blitzschnell zu entkleiden, seinem vibrierenden Arsch und goldene Finger die die Prostata stimulieren, also wenn er praktisch jeden Hetero den er findet schwul macht muss man das nicht zu ernst nehmen.
Die Geschichten danach waren teilweise schräg wie bei dem Zwerg, leicht an der Grenze wie bei dem Ringkampf (beim Penetrieren floss Blut) oder eher leicht langweilig wie in der letzte mit dem Sex unter Wasser.
Alles in allem aber ein durchaus gelungener Bara Manga. Wenn man ihn lesen will muss man aber genau wissen, dass es reine Pornographie mit Handlung ist und nichts anderes.

What can you really say about this manga? The style was very good even though the god Zeus is a tad too smooth for my taste. The first three stories with the god Priapus are none that you should take too seriously, especially with his divine skills like undressing men in the blink of an eye, vibrating ass and golden finger to stimulate the prostate, so when he makes ever straight guy he finds straight you shouldn't take it too seriously.
The stories afterwards were partially weird like the one with the dwarf, close to the limit like with the wrestling match (blood was drawn during penetration) or rather boring like with the sex under water.
All in all a well done Bara manga. When you want to read it you have to know that it is pure pornography with plot and nothing else.

I am delighted to hear that Mentaiko has finally gotten a book licensed in English; I hate pirating from my fellow creators, and was delighted to finally send some money his way! I hope this leads to more opportunities for him.
This book is ridiculous. It's porn, it's silly, and I hope you like dicks and fluids because there are LOTS.
I will note that the printing seems to have had some slight errors, since my edition, some of the full-bleed pages have text partially cut off. Still readable, though. It also unfortunately does have some of that gay misogyny where women are kinda treated as inferior or comedy material. If that's a thing that bugs you, consider yourself forewarned.
Getting this book is sometimes tricky (I had to specifically ask one of my local shops to special order it, and my first shop couldn't get access to it at all) but if Mentaiko's art style is your thing, go for it. (It's one of my husband's favorites, so he demanded I give it four stars.)

{CW: graphic sex scenes}
I have followed this artist on twitter and recently read his series Priapus - which as a loose plot of the god of fertility bonding' with humans and it overall enjoyable for what it is. There are small nods and cameo's to other series from Naruto to Pokemon and the god's Zeus and Apollo make an appearance. it reminds me of Saint Young Men with aq god coming to the human world.
I will say that you don't like graphic and explicit sex scenes then this won't be for you as this is 90% of the 'Story'. I skipped over a few scenes but stayed for Priapus commenting on human culture and interacting with different people.

I love Mentaiko's work, and his story is just too much fun. Zeus, presented as an obnoxious 12 year-old, sends Priapus, the god of fertility, protector of horticulture and viticulture, down to earth to end mankind without violence or bloodshed. And our favorite sex-god knows exactly how to do that -- turn all men gay. Then the population will die out on its own.
Presented in a series of vignette-like stories, Priapus does his thing in three stores, with others added in that could be him at work, as well, just always in human form. Mentaiko draws bodies that are amazing and elegant, and just a bit bratty. Lovely work...just lovely...

this is soooo silly but we dont need a good reason for porn! zeus, fed up with all the rape committed by humans (yes...THAT zeus), sends priapus down to earth to stop all the violence. his methods? making men gay. the art is gorgeous and who doesnt love big beefy lads going at it?

lol this was purely just for fun and found by accident. The actual Priapus stories got a but repetitive. Gachinko Battle was fine, 1/4 was.... a no from me. Won't read again purely because this doesn't have any reread value for me, and it's not anything that I ever seek out to begin with.

Fun and silly (Priapus is a gorgeous man sent to Earth by Zeus, whose mission is to turn all men gay) and extremely explicit and hot (Priapus seduces a different man in every chapter). The last chapter, the one with the competition (where 2 men compete in a ring in front of hundreds of people to see who cums first) was the only "romantic" one.
