"FANTASTIC - a Tour de Force!" -Hercy A. Lord/Literate Lady
I’m old, tired, and way too damn stubborn to just lie down and die. I like a stiff drink, a warm woman, and a good song, usually in that order. My name’s Frank Bennington. Washington D.C. is my town. It’s a dirty, filthy, backstabbing, and utterly corrupt place. Some people call that a problem.
I call it home.

"Once again Frank Bennington lives and breathes, opening my eyes to current events to be researched. Every book D.W. Ulsterman pens is a joy to read with characters who become old friends." -Laughloud
Enjoyable series of books; starts out as a very good political thriller with a refreshing viewpoint on the hypocrisy of politicians, and then goes off on a very unexpected but fun direction into conspiracy theories with a touch of the supernatural in the final book. Sounds goofy, but it works. Also, several points of plot and character crossover with D W Ulsterman's Mac Walker series.
And Mr. Ulsterman, if you're reading this: Frank Bennington is my new favorite literary degenerate and I've never had such visceral hatred for a fictional character as I have for August Hess. Pure cruelty in the service of evil, but frighteningly plausible- well done.
As you put the crab or frog in water and slowly turn up the heat, so do they that would do away with our way of !I've and our freedoms. Do you live happily unaware of do you squirm as the changes occur. Where is the change unacceptable? When is the change unacceptable? Do you go along to get a!omg while the water gets warmer and warmer. Do you get upset at every new tweak. Do you prepare? Do you even realize it is happening. The end is beginning and is dramatic, well written current and enlightening. And you should be aware!
This is a magnificent series of books. It is a little strange at times but it is a mystery. When the first book began I could imagine that the book was about a congressman but the remaining books were about a private investigator.
