In the fast life of drugs, guns and urban street crime, all that glitters is not gold. There are plenty of good times and plenty of bad times, but life will always make you face the True Consequences of your actions in the end.
Journey with Kenny Bailey as he goes from military brat to one of the key players in the VA drug game. When lust, love, and loyalty are questioned, who will survive in a game where there are no winners?
Fear and greed determines wheather the consquences will be money or murder. Can Tammy Armstrong and her family ties to the streets save Kenny from the usual outcome of a hustler or will they continue to blur the line between love and hate?
All the highs and the lows of the drug game are interwined within this graphic debut novel by Robert Barnes.
No emotion is left untapped and no subject matter is taboo.
This book was a very fast paced read and for the most part very well written. I felt as I was right there amongst the action the entire time. My only minus was the amount of characters involved and the double crosses that took place. You tended to lose track of who was who, who was friend or foe and who was doing what and where. Other than that, the author receives a round of applause.
