The Exposed Saga

Part One

Harvard student, Sadie Lockwood, was given a second chance and she's determined to make it count. She planned her life out with precision and she refuses to be deterred from her course. She knows what she wants and that is to honor the person who lost their life to save hers.

When Hunter Reynolds steps into Sadie's world, she is knocked off of her axis. He's bold, charismatic and intense. She's committed to not let him lead her off her prearranged path but he's persuasive and a little fun never hurt anyone, right?

As Sadie sets out on a journey to pull back the layers of Hunter's emotional façade, she begins to question the very heart that beats within her. Will shedding her own inhibitions help Sadie to accept the man she craves or will everything change once all is exposed?

Part Two

Hunter was everything Sadie always wanted. He was powerful, dominant, gorgeous and, most of all, he wanted her exactly as she was. When she threw caution to the wind and jumped into his bed, she believed that her life was finally beginning. She was ready to start living and he was the one person she knew she could trust with her heart.

That was until she found out that Hunter had owned her heart all along. When his past comes back to overturn Sadie's present in a way she never could have predicted, what will be left of the two of them?

As Sadie struggles with embracing the truth, she's struck with a reality that makes her breathless. First loves, new loves and an unthinkable future leave Sadie reeling. Is her heart strong enough to accept the unavoidable truth?

Part Three

Hunter changed Sadie's entire life. After discovering his connection to her past, she was ready to let go and embrace her new life. That one fateful night in Manhattan changed it all. After seeing Hunter for who he really is, Sadie must face painful truths about his past and their present.

Her heart is pushing her in one direction. Her mind is pulling her towards a different path. Will Hunter's eventual confession change everything?

As Sadie tries to accept who Hunter really is, she's forced to confront realities she never knew existed. She believes she's ready for it all, but is her heart strong enough?

More Exposed - Part Four

Sadie Lockwood thought she had the perfect life. She loved Hunter Reynolds, she was studying to be a doctor, and her entire future was planned out. Everything was going her way.

It all shattered when Hunter's past collided with their future. The one secret he kept from her barreled back into their lives, crushing everything in its path. It shattered all they held dear and it threatened them both in ways they never imagined it would.

Hunter was everything she ever wanted. He told her he couldn't breathe without her. What happens when her very breath is stolen because of that love?

Deborah Bladon had never read a romance hero she didn't like. Her love for romance novels began when she was old enough to board the bus, library card in hand to check out the newest Harlequin paperbacks. She was a Canadian by heart, and by passport, but you could often spot her in New York City sipping a latte and looking for inspiration for her next story. Manhattan was definitely her second home.

She cherished her family and believed that each day was a gift for writing, for reading, and for loving.

There are two things I love about Bladon's work. First, she's a master at worldbuilding and I am a total sucker for well-built worlds. Her books have a rich backstory that reveals itself in unexpected ways across four novellas. This is such a beast to do well and Bladon nails it.

Second, Bladon is a master at book marketing. Bladon self-publishes (go her!) and by breaking out a full novel into four novellas that are published monthly, she is able to influence the so-called Amazon algorithm for suggesting books (for those of you who aren't authors, the Amazon algorithm is a writer's holy grail). Part of the algorithm is based on how often an author publishes, so publishing a book in monthly parts is a smart idea from both a storytelling and selling perspective. Again, masterfully done!

somewhat okay.

The problem with this story, why it isn’t rated higher, this Sadie character is just sad. She lets this guy continually hold back truths and then he expects her to just allow this? Have some really BIG issues with her putting up with all the nonsense. Let’s call a lie a lie. Not my favorite.

I can give this 4 stars.. but with all the drama that took place, can't give it more than 3.

And that's what I'm sticking with.

This is an improvement from "Obsessed" but I feel like it's similar. The guys lie and act a certain way, the women forgive after having sex. I feel like the sex is used as a manipulation. I don't find anything charming, just constantly lying.

What to say about this story. I think Sadie should have left Hunter so many times. all he did was like to her. What women would stand for that?

So much angst

This book had too many dysfunctional characters to enjoy. Sadie was a pushover, Alexa was awful and Hunter was totally unlikeable. I could not wait for this series of books to end.

Whoa, too many secrets!

These were unbelievable situations of lies and deceit for anyone to take them as easily as Sunshine did. He should have told the truth from the beginning.

I'll give it 3-3 1/2 stars ....

Well , this is the third Deborah Blandon series I’ve read , and as the last one (obsessed), it was good , not great but a fun read , very easy and fast to read.

The story follows Sadie , she’s studying to become a doctor and is set on becoming someone important , because she had a very big second chance in life and she is not willing to waste it ( she had mayor surgery).

At a fund-raiser for her mother, she meets this beautiful sexy very handsome guy , who may or may not be flirting with her…( she is very shy , and not too experienced so she doesn’t know) after and embarrassing moment between them she is back in her shell.

The guy goes to the bistro where she works to seek her out and take her to a date… and she is over the moon about it , but she clearly is wondering why such a stunning guy would want her ( she think she is not very pretty… don’t they always???!!)

Eventually they get together and she is so happy , but then some stuff starts to come out and she realizes he is lying to her , he says he’s going somewhere and he is not there, or he suddenly disappears… this leaves Sadie very hurt.

But he keeps going after her and begging her to be with him… and she does but at some point there’s a discovery that it’s too much ( it’s related to her heart!!!)

I must say that the critics towards this series are very mix … more bad than good , but I like it , I think I like it more than obsessed, this one has more meet to it , and he is such a bastard sometimes I just wanted to kick his head !! but after a while we get to know why he is doing this very mean thing to poor Sadie.

I like Sadie , even though she was a very shelter character , she actually evolves during the book , she gets a back bone, and stands up for her self , well eventually !!

The sex scenes were good, maybe a little similar to the previous series , but I mean, whats not to like !? a little repetitive at times but ok.

What I didn’t like was the way the Alexa character was presented , this may be a little judgmental of me , but since I’ve read Vain first , I had a different feel of the Character and they way she was portrait was kind of sad , she seemed like a desperate man hungry sex addict, I think it was too much.

There where some good cliffhanger between the books and it really gave me the push to keep reading the story .

Soooo… all in all , a good series , not necessarily a great one , but fun for an afternoon read with all the goodies that we like ( hunky men , steamy sex, a lot of angst, secrets, and a HEA)

I hate giving two stars but i have to be honest about the saga. At times this book was gripping and shocking and I was really into it. Then it wouldn't make sense or add up or just didn't gel with the way the character was made out to be. I found Sadie to be the most frustrating female on the planet and that's saying something considering most female characters in romance novels are annoying. She just constantly moaned about everything and seemed to jump from one idea to the other. I felt like this could have been so much more if it had been thought out a bit better. It was all bumbled and I didn't really see the point to a lot of it. I actually felt like between Sadie and Corals heart issue, Caroline and Hunters engagement, Caroline and Peters little boy and then Sadies brothers return into her world it was like ideas for all different books but the author just decided to throw them all together. What was the point in it all? Sorry for a long rant but hell I just read the entire Saga and I'm still wondering why why why!

Sadie Lockwood owes her life to someone she’s never met and has decided to make it count. Everything is planned out. She’s studying medicine at Harvard and she refuses to let anything to deter her course. This is another one of those alpha male stories; he’s dominant, powerful, HOT, controlling... but as always the characters’ pasts collide in the most unbelievable way; what were the chances? Can you call it fate? I totally would.

This book literally broke me. Every time a little bit of the truth came out and Sadie was that little bit more exposed and Hunter turned out to be lying that little bit more my heart broke and broke and broke again. The plot is so completely different to anything I’d read before.

I felt cut in two; one side I loved Hunter and on the other I just couldn’t completely trust him. It’s easy reading at its best. It’s another serial so be ready for cliff hangers galore but it’s well worth reading; these two characters have stayed with me for years now and I still think back to them often now that Bladon’s world of characters has grown so much.

Hunter and Sadie’s saga reads much like her Obsessed series with disjointed storytelling, over manufactured drama, and characters who are lousy at communication. She tries to manufacture drama by keeping the reader in the dark but the scenes don’t flow naturally and in the end are frustratingly opaque. Unfortunately her numerous sex scenes are mechanical and lack any real emotional intimacy between the characters so in the end this story is forgettable.

Again, and this will probably be the case with all of Deborah's works in a series, this was a good as a series, but I'm glad I didn't purchase the titles individually and wait for one after the other because there was too much unnecessary angst. Each book was full of drama and 'secrets' that were built up, then explained away in a sentence or two. Only they weren't really explained, and not worth all the angst in the first place.

The storyline was good but the hero was a liar who was never called on the carpet for it, and the heroine just gave him pass after pass, even though she constantly questioned him and her judgment. Not my favorite series, but I like the characters in the other books, and I like how Deborah weaves characters from other stories into your current read. It's a smart move as an author because it makes you want to read the other character's stories.

I have read 3 of Deborah Bladon's SEries, Obsessed; Exposed; and Pulse. Obviously I am kind of hooked on them, they are roller coasters and you are never really if the male love interest is good, or bad. The books go back and forth through 4 volumes, and then abruptly conclude the story within the last few pages Sometimes the conclusion comes of left field. With Exposed, To the very end I just couldn't decide if Hunter/Zander was really in love with Sadie or just obsessed with her. The abrupt change in her mother was also out of character for the rest of the entire series.

I am not sure I will read a new series, although the characters kind of are related, the stories are all over the place.

HUNTER AND SADIE

Alexa's friend, Sadie meets and falls for Hunter. She had heart transplant surgery when she was young and doesn't know of her strange relationship with Hunter before they meet. Good story, though I would have liked to know what happened to Christina. Like falling off the face of the earth would have been nice. And I hope that Hunter stopped paying money to that horrendous family. Did Sadie become a doctor? So many questions but no mention of a novella or another story that would update their future. Very good series. All of the series are entwined with each other and are best enjoyed by starting with Obsessed, then Exposed, Pulse, Vain and then Ruin. They are all excellent reads.

This is an interesting serial. It has 4 parts. The main character is Sadie. Sadie has grown up in a wealthy family, one that did not really demonstrate much affection. However she is not the usually snooty rich chick. She works at a café and she goes to college.

Her secret is from her past. She was born with a heart defect and had open heart surgery when she was 11. She always wanted to find out who her heart donor was and this story tells how she did. Through this process she meets Hunter. Hunter who is really Zander. Hunter adds a whole other dimension to the story. He is fully of secrets. Secrets which tear at the heart that Sadie feels blessed to have every day.

I got into Deborah Bladon's books in reverse order - starting with Pulse, then Obsessed series. Unfortunately after those series which I absolutely adored I found the exposed saga lacking for some reason. I couldn't really get into the storyline in the same way. the sex scenes are still sizzling, but I found that hunter just didn't do it for me.

so i wouldn't say it's a bad series, just a let down after obsessed and pulse. i absolutely cannot wait for more in the vain saga!

I laughed, I cried

The love story of Sadie and Hunter, is everything a love story should be. Heartache, lies, love, and amazing sex. I cried when the lies nearly tore them apart and smiled when they had toe-curling make-up sex. I nearly choked on my tongue when Alexa, Sadie's best friend, announced without a hint of shame, that there are many cocks in the ocean, that's why she loves swimming so much! A great read, thank you Debra Bladon. You are my new favorite author.

This Saga was Fantastic! I have loved all of the Deborah Bladon Series, but I am pretty sure this was my favorite.

The passion, love, and emotional bond Sadie and Hunter share is unreal! The background story/connection is one of a kind; and the twist and turns that Deborah always adds will leave you reeling for more!

Don't miss this read! So HOT!

Love Sadie's character. I've read the first and second so far. Hunter is an ass at the moment and I'm not sure he will redeem himself in my personal opinion. Sadie deserves so much more. I really don't get her friendship with Alexa either she isn't at all a good friend. Jury is still out on Vincent.

This was the choppiest story I've read by the author. Now it's one of her earlier releases but still. My goodness this is a mess. And the psychotic obsession of a child by an adult? Yea that's Fd and never addressed. This actually is worse the more I try to write this. Not the writing per se. The story she wrote.

Amazing roller coaster

This story was great. I loved the ride I was taken on with Sadie and Hunter. Each moment of the journey reached a spot in my heart that made me want to fight for the two of them. I also had some much needed moments where I wanted to reach in my kindle and throat punch some characters. I love this writers work and cannot wait to see what is next.

Very Good, Hard to put down

This series is very well written and keeps your interest right up there. I thought I could read one or two and then finish later, no such luck. Very well written Deborah Bladon and I will be looking for more of your work.

Good stuff

It was very good reading. I do think that it could have used some of Hunter's side of the story too. Only being from Sadie 's point of limits the whole emotional experience of the story

I really enjoyed this. I had skipped this one when I read the other ones & just didn't realize it. I wasn't going to read it since I felt I knew most of the story from reading all the other Deborah Bladon books but I was wrong. It was sooooooooo worth reading!
