DRMRAB DMV chapter had the pleasure of reading and discussing this book.
We gave it four stars. We agreed it took us a little while to get into this book. With thoughts of quitting reading this more than once we were glad we didn't. About halfway through the book we started to really enjoy it and realize it was definitely worth the read.
Keeli wanted a better life for her and her son. Keeli showed how you can start from the bottom and rise to the top with grit and dedication. We are glad we read this book and finished it to know how good it was. We agreed it ended much better than it began. Definitely worth the 4 stars given.

The QUEEN IS HERE !

Do,this is actually my second read from K Sherrie and I MUST SAY She Brought the HEAT. It took me a minute to finish this book because I had so much going on and I wanted to give it my undivided attention. But, I must say I was not disappointed in the least bit. And even though Keeli is unbelievable at a first glance, this author makes you believe in her. Kudos to the almos new kid on the block. I am definitely a fan! DC APPROVED.

Happy Reading,

Queen status👑

Man listen!!! Keelie did not come to play! She got sick of her living conditions and not being able to provide for her son and she did something about it!

When Kia flaked in the beginning I was disappointed that she gave her a chance but I understand she was still learning.

The only thing I didn’t agree with on Keelie’s part was how she did Kia. Kia got no explanation in or nothing. But when it came to Simm and all the flaw things he did to her crib he got away with it. The guy with the fake work that degraded her got away with it and Juan put his hands on her and was given a second chance. It shows how most females cut their friends off in a heartbeat but the energy is not the same when it comes to the men in their lives. That is reality!

This was a great story. I’ve never read a story written in both past and present tenses. It was executed so perfectly. That for sure is talent! Highy recommend reading!

This was a good read. I hated the constant switching from 1st to 3rd person though. I felt like it should've been written in either one form or the other, or that the transitions should have been smoother if you were going to switch. The editing was also terrible, but the plot was great and felt totally realistic

Man this book herei can't wait to read the nxt part

Keeli went fron nothing to becoming a boss chick. She proved tht she's a force to be reckon with. I'm getting reading to read part 2 to c kind of drama she's gonna start beginning with Simm's sorry but and then tht stunt Juan pulled was really uncalled for so i'm quite sure his krama
awaits him

The editing

Omg the editing has me blown. The wrong tenses incomplete plots the unrealistic settings. I just could suffer after 24% I need my life back!

LOOOVVEEEEE!!!

I loved the series. To prep for QDC Revelations.. I started from the beginning read each QDC like it was my first time. I laughed and cried "literally".. I cheered her on during her highs and was sadden during her lows. I love the story so much it only took 3 days to read all 4 books. And that's with having a family and full time and part time job lol. I talk to my husband about Keeli and the crew like they are my real people's. I relate to Keeli so much also being raised in DC by my single mother who I felt like didn't love her 5 kids.. Living on food stamps and food in "black and white boxes" K Sherrie you did your thang girl. I wish you much success in the future. I'll be watching!

Queen of D.C. was a page turner that once I got into, I couldn't put down! I liked the writing format that was used in this book. The way Keeli's thoughts & background information were displayed gave great detail and helped with the flow. Keeli proved she could handle & take charge of situations & crisis that she encountered despite the weaknesses of her partners. Her knack for recognizing shiesty individuals helped make the book all the more interesting! Looking forward to reading the next part of this saga

Queen of DC was an awesome read & I would highly recommend it to others. Keeli was not to be played with! I loved the fact that she had a notion and ran with it not letting anything or anyone get in her way. Kia was a hot mess & Keeli knew it but for some reason Ciaria and Monae couldn't see it. I had high hopes for her & Juan. Simm was such a punk with it. I guess it's true what they say....love will make you do some crazy things. Off to read book 2!

Keeping is a beast, she took to the game like she was made for it. She had a good head on her shoulders but her temper was beast mode.! I'm was a punk but so was Juan when it came down to it. I was feelin him at first but was glad Keeli did it moving'. I have to get to part 2 to see how it goes down cause her girl's aren't a strong as he and will Juan find out she carrying his kid? On to part 2

This could have been a great book, however the storyline was all over the place. In addition, the book was full of errors.
