I was laid off and the result of that was the start-up of Keeping It Real Publishing an innovative company that provides the information and advice that empowers people to be successful.

And...I am a Writer, Internet Entrepreneur, Army Veteran, former Human Resources Executive and Illustrator. I build Web/Wordpress sites, write all of the material for this site and send motivational info across the web. I earned my Bachelors degree from The University of The Arts, Philadelphia, PA where I focused on Illustration, design and the art of drawing. My artwork has been published by Highlights for Children, McMillan-McGraw-Hill and numerous magazines. Over the next few months, I will share some of my artwork on this site.

On the flip side...

My work experience over the past 20 plus years has been in the field of Human Resources. It all started in the US Army where I worked for the US Army Recruiting Command and expanded into Corporate America when I finished my military career. I have held several leadership roles and would consider myself an executive HR professional. When I was laid off from my corporate job due to downsizing, I decided to open a "New Chapter" in my life journey. I moved on.

Recently, I started a few new habits and made a few accomplishments...

I go to the gym 3 days a week.
I go to bed earlier and wake earlier.
I became organized and productive.
I began eating healthier.
I doubled my income.
I eliminated my debt.
I simplified my life.
I lost weight (10 pounds).
I wrote a few eBooks.
I stopped cutting my hair.
I started drinking 8 glasses of water a day.
