Pretty much a comparison of eastern vs western fertility medicine. Certainly seems to cover all the bases of things you can try to improve your fertility. I bought this book after my first failed IVF cycle to prep me off my second as I'm feeling very negative and have been told by the doctor that it can impede the process.

It has meditation recommendations and mantras that can be helpful. I completed all the exercises in the book like my homework. Trying to do the daily things it asks you to do. A little hokey but I'll try anything at this point.

The diet seems really extreme. I think I might try it the week before my ER or during the ER and implantation. I certainly will try adding the "bone broth" to my diet. Gives lots of other references that could be helpful but also tries to sell you other products. I really wish they added a grocery list to the diet instead of me having to make one since there's a lot of stuff on there that I certainly won't normally have in my house.

The author had a lot of good points. I originally sat down in the bookstore and flipped through every fertility book they had. This seemed to be the best and most comprehensive one. If recommend it to others with fertility issues.

Baby dust to anyone reading my review that's not on my friends list!

Update: I did the fertility diet after my implantation. I followed it to a T for the first week, and then ate the same foods but whatever I wanted at the time the next week. I followed this for about 2 months, sometimes dining out but staying gluten free. I also added pineapple core and Brazil nuts to aid in implantation. I'm pregnant! I don't know if this diet had any bearing at all on that result but at least if it failed, I felt I had tried everything. I'm adding the grocery list to my review for anyone who may need it, as I had to make it myself and really wished one was in the book. I even contacted the author and she didn't have one.

Bacon-4 slices
1 Pork Chop
1 Free Range Chicken with feet and gizzards
1/2 lb chicken or beef livers

Fish:
12oz Wild Salmon
1 Sole
Roe
2 cups Shrimp

That lasted me much more than the first two weeks but tipped my budget at Whole Foods over the $200 mark! That's without buying the $40 fish roe (I got some from a sushi place). As far as the recipes go, the "pancakes" have no business being called such or even eaten in the morning but you could get through them. The shrimp salad, that I was very excited about, was inedible and I almost cried at the money I scraped into the barrel. If you try it, I would omit the mustard, onion, and vinegar! Everything else was ok. I learned to eat avocados. The gelatin is impossible to eat just on a fruit, unless you mix it with yogurt. It is like 3 servings of vegetables at every meal. I upped my meat ounces the second week and ate anything I found that was grass-fed, organic, antibiotic free that was safe to eat during pregnancy. I also added the nutrition data to The Daily Burn because I was logging my food. I hope my notes help some others out there! Feel free to contact me with any more questions if you're reading this.

I came across this book after a friend recommended the author speaking on a podcast. The ‘and stay pregnant’ was the part I needed. I had just turned 39 and after trying for a baby for 4 years, countless rounds of IVF, endometriosis and 3 miscarriages I was ready to throw everything at this.

It’s a big commitment especially the diet. But I started slowly. Eating organic, cutting out all the gluten, dairy, soy and sugar. Removing all toxins and starting on organic skin care and cleaning products. The mantras and visualization exercises were challenging too. I struggled with visualizing but it wasn’t until I quit all social media that I was finally able to see myself pregnant and as a mum. I started going to acupuncture and began an IVF protocol to address inflammation. I journaled and danced and sang and walked and stretched.

My one vice remained one weak cappuccino a day. I also didn’t do the supplements..

After 3 months I was shocked that my endometriosis symptoms had drastically reduced and my mind set was incredibly positive.

I got pregnant off my next IVF round and stayed pregnant. I had my beautiful baby boy in 2021. When people ask what was it that I did I say who knows. A combination of everything I tried but the most powerful being my mindset and the constant loving support of my husband.

I love this book. After only reading chapter one and changing my mindset, I had my first positive pregnancy test following 8 years of trying. Unfortunately, it was short lived. I miscarried at 6 weeks. I have since finished the book, am implementing as much as I can, and am hopeful that I will get pregnant again soon. She gives solid advice with a very positive attitude.

Excellent book on alternative therapies and foods to use to enhance fertility. This book combines both western and eastern medicine as well as approaching fertility from all dimensions of wellness: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. It’s worth a read if you’re looking to become pregnant in the future, now or ever. I’d even recommend it for those who don’t want to become pregnant because when you are fertile you are as healthy as you can be. So whether health is your goal or pregnancy is your goal, this is a good read.

I didn't really like this book. I do think positive thinking can go a long way with most things, but I also don't think it cures everything in the world. It had some OK info and I finished it.

So I’m kinda sorta thinking that I might be ready to have kids. I’m not really a preparer but nature, but for big life things like getting a dog or having a baby, I like to know what’s up.

I’ve also recently gotten more into Traditional Chinese Medicine and liked that this book gives both the western and eastern perspective on preparing your mind, body, and essence for pregnancy. I have always wanted to wait until I was good and ready to be a mom, but you can’t help feel that pressure as you get older. This book reassured me that age shouldn’t be the biggest factor (or maybe even a factor at all) for a healthy 34 year old. Auditing my nutrition, mentality, the products I put on my body are all so much more crucial to bringing a healthy baby into this world than my birth year. The odds are in my favor that I will get pregnant one day.

The diet and environmental toxins portions felt a bit intense, but those were always going to be my weaknesses as they require a lot of education and discipline. Still, if I can incorporate a handful or two of healthy foods and supplements into my diet, that’s got to be a win, right? And slowly transitioning to clean beauty products isn’t a bad idea regardless of my thoughts on motherhood. I do wish that some portions of this book, especially around diet, were a little more prescriptive. Overall though, I feel strongly that this book has given me a much better outlook on my own fertility, which I think is important for any woman, regardless of their age or circumstance.

"Yes, You Can Get Pregnant" by Aimee E. Raupp

I loved the holistic approach to fertility in this book. Aimee Raupp is a Licensed Acupunturist and Herbalist who mentions about both Western medicine and science and Eastern medicine and acupuncture and the importance of spirituality and a good head space. She gives a detailed plan and recipes for those who need it.

What I took away most from this book is the reminder to clear your home and mind for our babies. Know that with the law of attraction and positive thinking and making changes to become even more healthy, we can improve our fertility and welcome our babies with open arms.

Many books also mention about journaling and after reading this one, I was more encouraged to pick up a new journal and write my first entry in a while. I have already started doing most things in the book, except now, I am making more chicken soup from scratch, too. Lol! Yummy!

Some Traditional chinese medicine and Western medical perspective. The book give a whole range of positive and self-help summary for many aspects that might affect you, diet, mind, body and yourself. Lets you gain confidence on getting pregnant. There include a good summary on chemicals that are in daily products (facial, body products) that could be harmful as well and states why. That's how the book is, summary with important and clear explanations for you to live healthy and better.

Love the approach of this acupuncturist with the fusion of Traditional Oriental Medical and Western medicine. the positive attitude and thinking about fertility that she tries to spread. Wish the school system will use this approach more to educate to healthy life.

Skipped Part One because I didn't believe in some of the things written but did enjoy the reminders of diet, exercise, recommendations, and recipes.

While chunks of this book were a bit too 'woo woo' for me, there is also a lot of interesting advice that I am willing to blend with other resources.

I loved it from the beginning to the end!

I like the way Aimee approach the topic and how she empowers you through simple, but super powerful words!

I already start to make some changes to my diet and to product that I use everyday (so hard to find product without s*** in it.. if you know brand 100% organic please let me know).

I am 37, with a MMC on my back.. all the test done are apparently fine so who know what’s going on!
I firmly believe in the mind-body connection but struggle sometimes to stick with the positive. But I’ll do it! I have to do it for myself, my husband, and future little chickpea.
I also firmly believe that I’ll be pregnant and I am where I’m supposed to be.

I want to do more test for Thyroid and CD.. just to be on the “safe” side and for peace of mind.really recommend this reading as brought to me so much happiness and positivity!
