TF2 didn't start with a lot of story. There wasn't room for one. But as the updates got more ambitious, we found the perfect way to explore the mercs' world: comics. Over the years, the comics have spawned ancillary characters, then assistants to the ancillary characters. Companies mentioned in passing became global empires three generations old. The game that started as a handful of guys in a desert shooting at each other slowly blossomed into the most labyrinthine story in Valve history.
It feels weird to know that I binged essentially a decades worth of media on a whim. While others had to wait like 8 years for the final episode, I discovered the series on its release. Anyways how nostalgic to read about team fortress LMFAO I wouldn’t have expected to put this on my Goodreads.
For people who know me, they know I recently got into Team Fortress 2. I found the comics online and was immediately told to read them so I decided to jump in.
This was an absolutely brilliant first comic for a series. I am in utter love with them. Soldier is brilliant, Pyro and Solly are children, I love them all. I don't think Valve could have done any better with a debut for such a well loved game such as TF2.
The art work is so nice to look at; it's simple, but you can recognise each character and the colours are just so pretty. This is such a well put together comic and I definitely recommend it to anyone with an interest in TF2.
(Honestly can‘t believe I get to rate this here lmao) Valve writers hold a power for comedy and timing that most writers can only dream about. Art is amazing for the style of the game and the characters are compelling and the emotional beats hit harder the further you get in this series. Absolutely worth it even if you‘ve never heard of the game!!!
I've read many comics, but the Team Fortress comics have to be the most hilarious ones I've ever read. Not just funny but also plenty of nods to comic book classics.
Back in the day I was a Valve fan but only had a casual familiarity with Team Fortress 2. Only played the game a few times but enjoyed myself and the comics. They're very wacky which appeals to one part of my sense of humor. Obviously this first issue didn't do too much for me because I don't play the game religiously but it was still amusing.
I honestly had no idea this was on here, but then again, so was Homestuck. This comic and this game in general is really funny and peculiar and just one of a kind in general and I can't wait for the last issue to come out.
loved the book. wanted to read on the school Chromebook and can't get it to work. can you even read the books on this website? -1 stars because can't read book on here
If you've played the game, this is after Mann vs Machine. The last two books are still out there, but this is a very good book/series if you don't want to read the update comics.
