July 16, 2014I won't review my own book that's sorta like clapping for yourself at a basketball game. I will say this is my favorite so far and I love my characters. They are a family.

OMG CAT MASON YOU ARE AWESOME!!! and yes shout capitals are needed for this line.I just finished reading my arc of Hunter's story and just when I thought I couldn't love him more his own book comes out and the Hunter I love became a new Hunter that I love even more.
Hunter and Chase are such a great couple and you knew after the kiss off Chase got from Hunter that the reunion of the soul mates was going to be off the charts and in that aspect Cat did not disappoint.
from beginning to end I was wrapped up in this story and the new pieces of Hunter we got in this book at times had me crying for who knew the bacon loving man could have tender spots, and that under all the macho, i screw anything, facade actually lies the heart of an uncertain, scared little boy, in ways more so than a little boy.
Chase my darlin girl you are by far one kickass lady.You strove to make Hunter happy and to prove to him he was worthy of love and family.Your strength in all that happens makes the emotional scenes between you and Hunter pull at my heart strings and made me fall in love with this book even more.

5+ ROCKIN' STARS!
So when I started this series, I got the pleasure of reading all three books in order and my first words when I finished this series was why haven't I heard of this author before now because she is bloody brilliant. I love rock star romances and this is probably the best I have read to date.
This book was amazing and probably my favorite in the series. We finally get Hunter's story and if you had read this series then I know you were like me... dying to get your hands on Cunter's story! ;) This book was sexy, sweet, angsty, full of drama, suspenseful, and featured one tortured rock star.
This is the story of Hunter and Chase. Hunter is in love with Chase and probably has been since he first met her but Chase is not like most of the girls that Hunter tends to mess around with. Chase is going to give as good as she gets. But Hunter is damaged and has demons. He thinks he is doing Chase a favor by lying to her and turning her away making her walls come up and run. But when something happens in Hunter's life that could potentially turn it upside down, Chase comes running to help to band. As Hunter and Chase spend more and more time around each other, they begin to lose the battle and give in to temptations. But will Hunter's past be the catalyst to make Chase stay or leave for good?
I loved Hunter and Chase together. She was the calm to his storm... the light to his dark. Chase had her own demons and really these two complimented each other and rounded out each other. I loved how they became a team and worked together. It was nice to understand why Hunter why he was Cunter. I also loved Chase's brother and friend. And I cannot wait for Henry's book! I hope it is not with the troll that he had... UGH!
I loved this book. I know I have said it a zillion times but this book is just brilliantly written. You can read this as a standalone but seriously why would you! Each band member is a vital piece to the puzzle.

This is Hunters story, continuing the drama of a rock band on your and all that entails we focus on the lead singer. Having been the loveable clown in previous books on the series Hunter hasn't been himself lately and it's because he has taken a long hard look in the mirror and realised he was wrong...
Chase is the one that got away. The only woman he has been drawn to after a night of unbridled passion he has returned for more over and over. Yet insecurities and fear got in the way when shit got too real between them. But the fellow members of Shaft plot and plan as they do to help reunite the pair and Hunter really wants an opportunity to explain himself..but will an unexpected package make or break them? More angst, groupies and a media frenzy see's them face yet another crisis or two as a band. Will it make them stronger or rip them apart only time will tell.
In this story we see behind the front man facade and delve a little deeper. Still full one liners and sexual innuendo that would make anyone blush Hunter is still the Cunter we know and love but with a soft squishy middle bit! Chase is a sassy give it as good as she gets type and the perfect match for him but can she forgive him? Tension and drama abound in this sizzling tale of two jaded people who use sex as a release and hide from emotional attachment due to their own personal demons. It made me laugh and simper in equal measure, and as always where Hunter is involved the sizzle factor was through the roof!

Having only recently started this series I was able to read all 3 books close enough together and have to say all 3 books are a MUST READ!!!
CHASING ME is Hunter Chesterfield’s and Chase Hanlon’s story.
I thought Hunter was a bacon loving asshole in the first book Escaping Me, then I read Facing Me and found I had developed a soft spot in my heart for him…..
Chasing Me brings Hunter to life!!! I LOVED the way Cat wrote this book. Full of hot stuff and some twists and turns that make you just want to keep reading, not have to deal with everyday life!! It’s the way I felt while reading anyway!!
Hunter’s crude manner makes me smile, he has such a way with words that you can’t help but laugh, such a sense of humor.
Hunter to Daisy: “Oh, baby momma, you give such good bacon. It’s a man salad full of meat and carby goodness. I’m gonna need a minute alone with it” LOL right???
He masks a lot of his emotions and we learn certain things that make you understand why he is the way he is. Chase can see through him, so to speak and the way Hunter is with her, once they finally are together again, is just what he needs to give him some balance in his life. She is HIS Tiger Lily!! Hunter & Chase are made for each other.
All the Shaft gang are ‘family’ brought together by music. Their banter is hilarious, I love the girls, Daisy, Cam and Chase!! Who wouldn’t want them as friends??
The way they are all very protective and care for each other is so nice to see especially when things get tough and there are quite a few parts in the story where you think…wtf????
Will Hunter become Cunter again or will he finally find love??? Read it to find out….

Hunter has been the manwhore crazy lead singer of Shaft for a long time. But lately he’s been feeling like he might want to get serious but that scares the crap out of him. Especially when he thinks about Chase. Chase was all about the uncommitted loverboy but things changed when she started sharing her feelings. Will Hunter be able to escape his past or keep playing the fool that everyone thinks he is?
“‘Sometimes, a familiar snatch is a good thing.’ Henry pipes up in Aiden’s defense. ‘I mean, hell, we’ve all seen some of the scary shit you’ve laid pipe in. You’re going to end up on ‘1000 Ways To Die’. Hunter Chesterfield, his dick curled up and died after rowin’ down the tainted cooch river.’”
I was waiting for this book! I love Hunter and his antics. The spooners have got so settled down and we need naked scrabble and racey bets. Hunter has the sweetest heart and with what comes along in this book, my heart melted. It was shocking how quickly he adjusted for the most part to new responsibilities. My favorite books are when characters learn that they do deserved to be loved and are capable of loving. I was rooting for Cunter’s redemption.
I’m more than ready for big daddy Henry to find a soulmate. I can’t wait for the next Shaft book to find out where it takes the big man. Such a wonderful rock series.

Well Well Well… I was so excited to finally have Hunter in my hands because Cunter Chesterfield always had my heart….
I spent the whole night with Hunter buried so deep inside me… I came out very very satisfied and my love for Hunter cemented in stone… I fricking loved this book.
This book at last lets us get inside the cocky, confident lead singer’s head and let me tell you it will surprise you completely….
Chase is the sexy redhead who has been able to see right through the Cunter persona and see the caring, loving, dirty minded, bacon obsessed person who makes up Hunter… and together they are beautiful and sweet but being one to tame Cunter into Hunter is never going to be an easy ride.
“I am starting to enjoy watching Cunter fade into the background while Hunter shines.” Chase Halon (The Cunter Tamer)
This story will have you wanting to claim Shaft’s front man as yours… the twists and turns in this book with have you laughing, crying, smiling as Hunter is shown in a new light…

The rock band’s star is on the rise and so is their media attention – which also brings out the uglies and crazies. The happiness factor is up as well in this installment as the couples are secure, settling in, and nesting. However, do not let yourself get too comfy cozy, as there is always drama with hard rockers with a side order of betrayal. Expect constant streams of profanity, clever banter, fun humor, shocking surprises, and lots of erotic sensuality. It is a busy group and the story and characters are evolving at a steady pace. I find Ms. Mason’s characters to be complex and intriguing, and find myself frequently smirking at her clever humor.

Holy Bacon! It is time for Hunter to get his turn. Hunter hot and hilarious. He has finally found his match with Chase. She isn’t like all the other girls Hunter has gone after, she is going to make him work at it. But as we’ve all learned from Cat’s other books, this isn’t going to be an easy match. They each have a past, and sometimes it is the past that ruins the future.
This has to be my favorite of all books so far. I love the chemistry and mystery in this book.

5 bacon loving stars!
I have been not so patiently waiting to get my hands on this one and it was so worth the wait! I have highlighted more in this book than I have in any other. Hunter is hilareous and in full effect!
The Shaft boys are back and Hunter is going down for the count! The man whore has met his match. Never thought that Hunter could be tamed, but even the most wild beast can be caged! Chase is Hunter's cryptonite! The yin to his yang, the itch to his scratch! Probably the only woman in the world to turn a man who never uses the same woman twice into a one woman man. That is if Cunter is willing to take a back seat and let the real Hunter show through. Can Hunter change or will he let the best thing in his life slip through his finger?
This was my favorite book in the series. It has everything you could want! Mystery, humor and some seriously hot sex! There are a few new characters and a weiner named Bits! Curious?? You just have to read to figure it out!
Don't miss out on the newest edition of the Shaft on Tour men. The whole gang is back, Shaft is hitting the big time, lives are changing and the men are growing up. It's wonderful!

Holy f me Cat Mason u have done it again. I think Hinter is my favorite shaft member even more than that I think Chase will always be one of my favorite lead women in a book!!!! Let me tell u that she knows what she wants and she knows what she won't put up with. No matter how much she may love someone. Hunter is angel in hiding it just takes the right person to bring him out of his shell and show the world who he really is. And he is an amazing wonderful person who if anyone had been paying attention would have seen that he truly was not just someone who needed to have sex with random people. He chases Chase down and everything changes but we all know that nothin I always roses and sweetness.
After Hunter thinks things might settle down everything implodes, secrets come out people from the past rear the nasty overly made faces etc all come out and it could destroy everything am anything Hinter dreams of. He is not sure that Chase is willing to go through this with him. Let me tell you Cat does an amazing job in this book

Having met and crushed on Hunter in book one and two, I couldn’t wait for his story. Cat Mason didn’t disappoint!
After asking Chase, Tiger Lily, to leave at the end of book two Hunter has been miserable. Getting her back is going to be harder than he planned, but this is Hunter, and he is going all in. Well I didn't see this book coming that's for sure. This book revealed a whole different side to Hunter than the one I was expecting, but it's one that I liked.
I've loved the guys from Shaft over the previous two books, I like their feisty women as well, there's a lot of humour in the books, but there's always a story to go with it.
Part of me feels like everything has been tied up neatly with this book but I hope that Cat brings the boys back. I want to know more about Henry for a start, and Luke and Mitch.
I've enjoyed all three books in the series but I think if I had to pick one as my favourite it would be this one.

Cat Mason has done it again! Another fab, sexy, crazy, hot and totally funny story. I loved Hunter before reading this book now I just adore him. Don't think I have laughed aloud as often as I did while reading this story, especially with the introduction of Mack, Jazzie and the wiener!! and I'm so happy that this is'nt the end of shaft and Henry will be getting his story next. :-)

Omg !!! I could not wait for Hunters story. I fell for him hard in the first two books in this series. Chasing Me was amazing... This whole series has been a nice change of pace.. I loved it

I seriously love this series, and this was such a great ending and by far my favorite! I adored all the characters and their crazy and fun personalities!! I am so glad I stumbled across Cat Mason, and then to find out she is from my home town... too cool! She has definitely found a fan in me.

This was ok. I was under the impression she was tough chick but she folded as soon as he got within three feet of her like a cheap cot. The writing also wasn't really my style but if you like rock band books you'll probably like this one.

Chasing Me is the third book in Cat Mason’s Shaft on Tour series, and in my opinion, it’s the best of the three. In the last two stories, readers have seen Hunter Chesterfield’s front man persona, Cunter, on display – the filthy mouthed, sexified manwhore whose role in the band is to woo the women through the lyrics he sings and the body he shows off both during and after the show. But that’s not the man that Chase Hanlon saw or talked to when he was out on tour. For most of their time together, Hunter was the one who talked on the phone for hours with her and who brought her to multiple moments of ecstasy, but then he got scared of his feelings for her and hurt her in the worst way possible - he told her she was nothing more than a good time and his time with her was all used up. But even after Hunter set Chase free, she still haunted his dreams and consumed his thoughts, and now, he regrets the way he told Chase goodbye, and he needs to make it right, but that will only happen if Chase is willing to give him the time of day, which isn’t very likely because if Hunter knows anything about his Tiger Lily, it’s how feisty she is when her back’s against the wall.
Chase is absolutely the right woman for Hunter. She’s strong, passionate, and gives as good as she gets. She sees through his Cunter personality and understands the man who bottles up his emotions, so they can’t be used against him. She loves him with everything that she is and knows he feels more for her than he’s willing to acknowledge, but she’s just as scared as he is when he asks for a second chance. But when she sees the truth behind Hunter’s words, she decides to stand by him regardless of any drama that heads his way, which with Hunter, there will no doubt be drama! What follows Hunter and Chase’s reunion is a sexy, emotional, and dramatic story that proves that Hunter is a man of many skills beyond lead singer and panty melter and that Chase is a woman who is blessed with an immense amount of patience and forgiveness as well as the gift of knowing what to say and do at just the right times.
Chasing Me is a fantastic read. I love that readers get both Hunter and Chase’s perspectives because they’re essential in understanding what they are battling against both personally and as a couple. Even though Cunter fades into the background when Hunter decides to show his friends and family who he really is, I love that he still is the same smart mouthed and oversexual man he’s always been; he’s just a bit softer and more open. A huge part of what draws me to the Shaft on Tour series is the fact that the supporting characters play such pivotal roles in each book. Each member of the band and crew as well as their significant others are one big family who step up for one another when necessary and would willingly lay down their lives to protect all those they love. Cat Mason does a fantastic job of illustrating this closeness throughout each book whether it’s dealing with groupies or dangerous and volatile situations. It’s definitely an aspect that helps with the cohesiveness of the series as a whole.
If you’re looking for a series with sarcastic and quick witted dialogue as well as a group of wonderfully developed characters then this is the series for you! It doesn’t hurt that it’s about a bunch of gorgeous rockers either;)

First of all, BACK THE TRUCK UP of you haven't read book 1 and 2 of this series. If not, WTF are you waiting for!! Go and get those because these books are pure gold!!! They are the prefect mix of smut, comedy and loving emotions!!!
So this book is about Hunter aka Cunter. He is Mr. Smartass who will not commit until he meets Tiger Lily aka Chase. He is alll about her which scared the crap outta him. He is scared to death and pushed her away in book 2 when she opened up and bared her soul to him. Quick Cunter to the rescue....he sent Chase packing. As any avid reader of the series knows, Hunter quick realizes he is a selfish jerk and needs to tell her good bye but nicely and not the Cunter way. When he sees Tiger Lily, the chemistry is undeniable!! He can not and will not let her go. Thanks GOD that chase digs her claws in and will not let Hunter hid behind his Cunter persona. She knows HIM and what makes him tick!! She KNOWS he will fight it but is willing to try. If she doesn't try she knows she will forever live with the "what if's".
So Chase and Hunter get to 'trying" when we find out Hunter might be a daddy to a groupie baby. ...holy baby mama drama.....CRAP right!!!???? WELL Actually this situation is something that helps him settle down. He is so overwhelmed with being a DAD and to have Chase still holding his hand through it all.......But he still just cannot put it out there. He can not tell her she is his world. He can not be that vulnerable.
OMG guys this book is sooo awesome. I mean Hunter has been a favorite of mine since book 1 and I KNEW there was more to him then Cunter the funny joker/bacon obsessed front man but this book solidified him as my favorite. I abso loved this book and I loved how Hunter finally admits his feelings for Chase....OMG perfection is this book.

Chasing Me by Cat Mason is the third book in the Shaft on Tour series. Hunter Chesterfield is known for his love of three things: booze, bacon, and women. When he’s not on the tour bus or rocking out on stage, he’s off somewhere banging a groupie. It’s been his life for as long as he can remember. He thinks he’s got everything in life, until he meets Chase. Chase Hanlon is a sassy, smart mouthed woman. She knows how to stand up for herself and put someone in their place when needed. She’s unpredictable but very likeable. She’s blown away but how gorgeous Hunter is. When she meets Hunter, of course it just starts out as sex. Casual, no strings attached sex. Something Hunter is very used to but Chase isn’t. Something about her makes Hunter question everything he’s wanted in life. Being with Hunter leaves Chase thinking if this guy could actually be real. Is he just hiding behind how everyone perceives him? Would this girl be the one that comes back? Normally he doesn’t do the groupie more than once, but there’s something about Chase that he can’t seem to stay away from. Chase can’t help but to realize there’s a deeper layer to Hunter, not only the loud mouthed rocker, but also a sweet and sensitive man. I was a little confused when I started reading Chasing Me because I really had felt that Hunter was at a different place at the end of Facing Me. I had expected Hunter to be heading off to Vegas to work things out with Chase, but things were a little different. This book begins with Aiden and Cam’s wedding day, and Hunter being somewhat indecisive on how he’s going to handle things with Cam. This concerned me a little because I was worried it was going to take him half the book to pull his head out of his backside. Thankfully, that is not how things went, and this fun and feisty 5 star read was my favorite book in the series so far.
When Chase first met Hunter, she was not looking for a relationship anymore than he was. Of course, things quickly changed when she became the only woman Hunter has ever hooked up with twice. In the previous two books, not too much was revealed about her character, but she did seem to do a good job of matching wits with Hunter. In this book, I saw more of her. Chase is not only feisty, she is also a sweet and compassionate, and my favorite of the Shaft ladies. There were many things that happened that could have easily led to a major drama-filled melt-down, but Chase handled them with the maturity that Hunter needed in his life.
Hunter, I was not at all sure about at the beginning of book one, but he quickly grew on me. No, he didn’t suddenly become the perfect book boyfriend, but he was funny and had a good heart that he often kept hidden. How Hunter dealt with the surprise in this book redeemed him on every level and made him my favorite Shaft guy. His big heart really comes through in this book, even though his bacon addiction continues to make me feel a little queasy.

Another fantastic book in the Shaft on Tour series! This group of people have been through quite a lot and unfortunately more comes at them in this book. This one focuses on Hunter and Chase (which has been in the background of the other books) but still includes the group as a whole as well. The witty humor, steamy sex scenes, emotional ups and downs, and the problems they have to work through made this an fun and engaging story to read.
Hunter and Chase had an instant connection when they met a while ago but Hunter panics and pushes her away. Now, he starts to re-evaluate what his priorities are and grow up to get what he really wants. Chase is a firecracker and not afraid to stand up for those she loves. She has a serious backbone and I admired her a lot. These two have a lot to deal with in this story but it will only make them stronger in the end. The personalities of both of them are fantastic. Hunter had me cracking up so many times…well actually the whole group does that on a regular basis in all the books.
This story will keep you on the edge of your seat with all the events going on, the sexy scenes between Hunter and Chase will have you fanning yourself, and the witty humor and sarcasm will have you rolling on the floor with laughter. I seriously couldn’t but this book down and devoured it in a matter of hours. If you haven’t started this series, you’ll want to start with book one since everyone is intertwined throughout multiple books. This is a wonderful book and I can’t wait for more. 5 out of 5 stars!

Going back to Vegas, just might be the kick in the pants he needs to get his life going in the right direction. He’s back in Chase’s hometown, can he get the words out to let her know how he feels? Will he convince her to give him another chance? Will she stick by him once she knows what’s waiting for him when he gets back home to Nashville?

I think this might have been my favorite book in the series so far. There is definitely more to come with this group of friends who are now family!!

Well it takes a lot to really draw me in straight away and have me adore a character but Cat Mason did that straight way with Hunter the 'Cunter' in everyone of her Shaft series and this third book Chasing Me has the rude, crude and down right dirty front man of Shaft front and centre. He has always seemed to be hiding behind this persona in the previous two books so it's a enlightening to see behind the mask.
Hunter the sexy, tattooed and charismatic lead singer is a fighter, he's a protector but feels anything but strong and focused. Hunter wants more but doesn't know if he deserves it or can achieve it after living such a colourful life. Enter his Tiger Lily aka Chase Hanlon, she can see beyond the mask but is going to stay and help Hunter or will he break her heart again???
Hunter has many obstacles, drama and revelations between him and what he wants to do. This books sees the darker side of fame and what happens when you hit the big leagues. Will he quit and revert back to his old ways of coping: birds, booze and bacon or will his 'love' for what he wants be enough to make him change??
I'm new to Cat Mason but her characters dialogue, behaviours and actions feel so real. It's as though I'm really there on tour with Shaft and seeing what really happens. Fortunately there is more to come from the Shaft series!!

In this third book of the Shaft on Tour series, we're focusing on Hunter and his feelings for Tiger Lily (a.k.a. Chase). We start the book out with the wedding that was coming at the end of the last book for Aiden and Camaron. What happens? What interesting things are going on that are throwing people for curve balls from Hunter, Luke and Mitch to Hunter and Chase? Yeah, of course Hunter is in the middle of things AGAIN! Once Aiden and Cam get married, what happens between Chase and Hunter practically blew my mind. It was truly not what I was expecting from Hunter and I really liked it. How can I go from hating Hunter at the beginning to being ready to cry for him less than 20% of the way into the book? Well, Hunter wants to be more responsible, take a larger role in the band, be human? The things that happen the day after Cam and Aiden get married just blow the top off everything. Wow. So many things happen in this book I could hardly put it down. I did only to sleep and for work only. When I could read on this one, I was certainly doing so. Loved the X-rated scrabble game to see who the leak was in the household. Read to find out what I'm talking about.
