Ratings are going up.
Okay so, I don't know what to write this time because I have some mixed feelings. The book was great, don't get me wrong but, Ernie, why'd you have to go and flip the script like that. I was feeling character development and had some expectations that were being met... up until the penultimate chapter where you changed the narrative. I mean I get you needed to keep the story moving, but I hope James comes to have a serious talk with you about messing with people's emotions. Any-who, on to the next one.

Awesome books ! A lot of the time I get bored so I skip some paragraphs or sentences . I have read all 3books in this series and I didn't miss one word of it . it keeps you wanting more . every page ,every word .I really wanted Caroline to find her happiness and someone who loves her and where she goes from here . I hope its a happy life . But I would also like to see what else she could do! Maybe next book ?

World Building a 3.75, Characters you fall in love with and really care about. For a post apocalyptic series a 4.5. But as with alot in our world the politics are dam ugly and was so gut retching I just couldn't read where the story was taking me - it felt so utter devastating - I was just too much in love with the characters I cared too much. I will not at this time be finishing the last of this book nor be able to try the 3rd.

The title says it all... seriously, why does almost EVERYONE she ends up leaning on and trusting betray her!?! I can't even, so just see my review of the Collected Edition (link below) for my thoughts... because otherwise this would just turn into a rant that is rife with spoilers and bad language.

Caroline Mathers gets her charges to Warrenville, the capital, only to learn a deal has already been made by the President to sell 50,000 slaves to the DAV. The army following them was strictly for show. And to get the new slaves back up north.
She hooks up with the underground who intend to fight.
But there's a Judas in their midst.
Author Lindsey continues his take on a future orld. Looking forward to the third book in the series.

This book was entertaining, however, I felt like the plot had remained at the same spot it was when I started the series. It didn't have any major twists or events that I didn't see coming either. I mean, the title is Judas, don't you think that gives the 'big twist' away a little? That being said, I have rated this three out of five. I am excited to read the third book though!

Requires reading the first book. Simple, light, and enjoyable. But it gets bogged down with too much internal dialogue and narrative explication.
