House of Xannon #2

Finding Flame

Rate this book
Macari has lived her entire life on the daemon plane sequestered from humans. Now her mother has given her an impossible task: cross to the human plane and spy on a woman she's seen only in visions. She must report her findings before the mark of Air fades from her hand or be banished from her home forever.

Macari can walk the Corsaerie, a storm of Air magic that holds all of history in its grasp. But even this skill can't get her to the human plane without a little help from an ancient magical being obsessed with the past. She faces obstacles at every step of the journey, and must dig deep within herself to complete her mission and return home. Even if she succeeds, will her discoveries soothe her mother’s fears or merely fan the flames of a larger fire?

Very different......

Micari has never met Terian. Micro is given an assignment to seek out why Tarian met with a demon, which changes are coning, who welds the power. Syrian is the keeper and since she is pregnant, her safety of utmost importance.

Micari is held captive, even though she is a wind walker. Things aren't always what they seem.

Book two is pretty good.

Interesting read

I liked this story and once again the author has created characters with unique abilities. I only gave it three stars because there was a little too much torture for my tastes but I understand the need for it so that we as readers can understand the heartbreak of the main character. I'm looking forward to reading the next book.

I'm not sure what my problem was. I got to about 30% and read two other books.

When I came back, my head moved to the story line and I really enjoyed the rest of the story.

This is the second book in the House of Xannon series. Keeping with the uniqueness and very different storyline, this author keeps things interesting and lively. Macari walks the wind which sounds very interesting and scary all at the same time, being able to glimpse into the past to see how something unfolds but not all of the story would be exhilarating and infuriating all wrapped up into one. Macari and Tarian aren't very different in their determination, compassion, and curiosity for everything around them. I do have to say I think the ancients have something big planned for everyone involved.

Great book for a short story. You don't have to read the first book to read this one. She is able to take you through Macari's growth and understand the world in which she comes from better. I would suggest this series to anyone who like Paranormal books. Like her other book, it's a mystery and you help get to solve it along the way.

Weaker than the other two books it is book-ended by, mostly because it was too short. Almost a novella. Maybe it should be book 1.5 in the series and not book 2.

Wow

My respect for the author has skyrocketed. The storyline is complex yet progresses both the evolution of the theme as well as the development of the characters. I read in awe.
