Player Intelligence: The Winning Factor
The Barcelona team of Pep Guradiola may be the finest team ever assembled. At times their soccer has transfixed audiences around the world. Scores of teams have tried to "play like Barca." Yet their influence has extended much more deeply than this.
For a while in the 1990's it looked as though pace and power were becoming the dominant factors in soccer. This was embodied in the French national team that became European and World champions and in Arsene Wengers early teams at Arsenal.
