[Siren Everlasting Classic Erotic Alternative Paranormal Romance, M/M, shape-shifters, HEA] Mikhail Kyryap knew the sexy little blond was his forever mate the moment he stepped inside the roadside bar with his friends. Convincing the human of that might prove to be harder than leading an entire pride of tiger shifters. Jace is the most stubborn man Mikhail has ever dealt with. Jace Marrok was one step away from being labeled loose by his friends when he followed a handsome stranger into the utility closet for a little fun. He just can't seem to resist Mikhail, not even when the man shifts in front of him and Jace learns that he has been mated against his will. Deciding whether to believe the sexy alpha when he says it was instinctual might be harder than staying alive when others in Mikhail's pride take exception to him mating a human. When they are attacked, Jace has to choose between staying with a man he is quickly falling for or getting his friends and running for his life. ** A Siren Erotic Romance
About Me I believes the only thing sexier than a man in cowboy boots is two, or three men in cowboy boots. I also believes in love at first sight, soul mates, true love, and happy endings.
I live in the great Northwest region of the USA, with my gorgeous husband and soul mate, two boxer/collie puppies, one old biddy cats, and three fish. When I'm not being a mother to my six teenagers or cleaning up after my two 70 pound lap puppies, you can usually find me cuddled in bed with a book in my hand and a puppy in my lap. Or on my laptop, creating the next sexy man for one of my stories.

Nothing really unique about this book or the series even. 4 twink bff's go out one night and meet 4 tiger shifter brothers. And pretty much exactly what you think is going to happen. ..happens. This book focusedon the first couple Mikhail and Jace and they were alright. Nothing really special about this couple. at all. Now I must say the editing in this book is pretty terrible. It reads as if the author/editor doesn't speak English fluently which we know is not true. But that's how it sounds throughout the whole book. Also towards the end of the book Jace's name switches to Jesse and stays that way for a number of pages. ... HOW DOES THIS CRAP GET MISSED? !?!?!
Huh. The usual silliness aside, this was actually pretty entertaining.
I might have allowed myself to be offended by a few things but it would have been an effort. The worst of it probably was the fact that Jace turned into Jesse for a few paragraphs right before the end; as distracting as that felt, it’s hardly a big deal. I really enjoyed the snappy dialogue and the fact that the four humans were characterized enough to make the idea of reading the rest of this series interesting.
Unfortunately I will not be able to finish it all today. I should not even read the next one right now. But I probably will. Which just goes to show that this brief volume really piqued my interest.
I just loved this book. I enjoyed the fact that there was more than one couple, making it even more entertaining and engaging. Jace was such a hoot. Actually, Rue, Bay, and Liam, (Jace's friends) were equally hilarious. There was lots of excitement and danger but the four friends were fantastic in a battle along with being creative. :) I totally enjoyed this story and found it to be definitely charming and fun overall. =)
So I do these kind of notes/stream of consciousness reviews usually. I hope you don't mind.
Michael and jace
So the setup is that these four flaming twinks go into a redneck bar and are picked up by four alpha males who turn out to be shifters and apparently Alphas. Each one is the true mate of one of the shifters. They are taken home and proceed to have lots and lots of sex. It's from the perspective of one of the couples, Michail and Jace, and we know the others mate (sort of) but we don't have the minutia. There is a battle and the twinks do the self defense thing that they aren't expected to be capable of but of course they use a frying pan and a rolling pin, etc. It looks like the later books are the same set of scenes from the perspective of each of the other couples. BOOOOORRRRIIINNNNGGGGG. It could be cool, the first Spy vs. Spook attempted that and didn't do it very well but if done well it could have been great. But bleah.
The book was quite funny, though. I laughed out loud twice in the first couple of pages.
My notes:
Oh please stay this good. I lol'd twice in the first couple of pages and I LOVE these guys. Already? Already offensive? Jace is bringing up real issues, although why he didn't just bolt I have no idea, and Mikhail thinks that Jace is "a hoot" and he will give him "a good run for [Mikhail's] money in the coming years." Jace is also the most beautiful "thing" he's ever seen. And of course he's a "spitfire."
This is noncon, at least about mating, not the sex. Jace didn't give Mickail permission to claim him. He didn't even know what that meant.
This is such a bizarre setup. PWP and boring repetitive sex. Even the world is the same one she's used before.
Really? So each of the four friends can have their own alpha? I can't tell you how many times I've literally rolled my eyes reading this. I think it's giving me a migraine. One side of my head hurts. I am afraid the other books are going to be the same thing from each of the other couples perspectives which would be sooo boring as we've gotten almost all the non-sex scenes out of the way.
This is sooo similar to the situation and plot of the Moonlight Breed series Gabrielle Evans.
Way way way too much sex.
Their priorities are really screwed. They're worried and talking about their relationships when they don't even kind of the others are still alive.
Oh the editing. Jace is now Jesse for a few paragraphs.

Summary:
As the story opened, the descriptions of Jace and his friends form the clothing they wore to the way the carried themselves brought them to life. It was admirable how they stood up for their rights in spite of the odds against them at the bar and it was that strength that led Jace to his mate. Mikhail knew the moment that he first saw Jace that he had found his forever mate and it was funny how Jace stood up to him because most people wouldn't dare to oppose him. Jace may be the smaller of the two, but in temperament they were a good match. The way Jace accepted Mikhail being a shape shifter while having problems with him not bring up front with other things was funny. It is very interesting how the books seem to overlap as the brothers and Jace's friends meet and interact with each other and their mates.
I remember glancing at this and wondering do i really want to read this? Well, giving it a chance and I was surprised. I iked it. Perhaps not fully fleshed out in that I didn't feel like we got a complete foundation to build on with this particular world's mating and about shifters in general.
The blurb about Jace.... not agreeable. I don't remember or get the impression that Jace is loose with the affections. Possibly more like the opposite. Either way, there's no mention of player action concerning Jace. Also, Jace is... well, felt like the impression on him was a lover not a fighter, especially since he's been beaten up a few times by boyfriends. And yet, later on three of the four friends defend the house while waiting for the shifter mates to get home. Oh and WHY would they ALL go to work with no one at home to keep an eye on things, considering the incident where Stefan gets shot? But all of a sudden they know how to defend themselves? That didn't quite add up either.
Not perfect but definitely worth a dig deeper for me.
It was ok. 2.5 Editing was bad, wrong name used in places. Not sure I will care for the rest in series, cause they take place same time line. So we re-read same parts over and over just with diff names. Not one if better ones, imo. Very rushed and very insta.
rating: 3.5 stars I rated this higher than the other books in the series because this is the only one by virtue of being first that had anything remotely new.
