A warrior from a lost battle comes across a caravan where all are slain, except a small girl. He takes the girl with him but not before she retrieves her father's sword and book of fairy tales. He teaches her how to use the sword. When the girl grows up she takes the path of revenge and begins a journey to find her identity, to find out who she really is.
This book was entertaining. It shows a lot of promise and can be improved, so I have hopes that the author will improve his craft in further volumes of this tale. In a word, it needs more depth. The characters motivations are too shallow, and are a bit one dimensional. The story though makes up for this and leads me to believe that if more effort is made this will end up being a truly great tale.
Great read! Wonderful storyline for all interests and ages. Can't wait to continue the saga (see other reviews for plot summary) of Mica and Edward and will purchase books 2 and 3. Will definitely read everything this author has to offer and add his name to my list of must read writers.
