The fourth book of Season of the Witch takes us to 1965, when Clarissa LaRoux gets snatched from her apartment in Detroit by a little red gnome (Nain Rouge). She wakes up in a hospital in 2013, not a day older and with no memories of what happened to her in the time she was away. Her best friend Opaline Mooreland, now 77, rushes to be by her side. Can they find out what curse befell Clarissa and how does the Nain Rouge figure into all of this?

Themes: Moira makes an appearance, the Underland prophecy, Grandmere’s grimoire, Nain Rouge, the fern flower.
