Forgotten

Callen. He's my best friend. My boyfriend of three years. Even though I sometimes suspected that my feelings for him were more friendship than great love, I still wasn't quite willing to let him go. There were times when I secretly wished we could rewind our relationship back to a simpler time. So when I receive a text message asking me to meet him in the darkened woods behind our house, a place we once played as children, it feels like a chance for us to recapture what we've lost over the years.

But what I find instead is something I never expected. As the boy in the woods gently slips his hands over my eyes, recognition, sharp and stunning, slides through me until I'm transported back to... Back to...

Before I'm fully able to grasp hold of the memory, it disappears like a thin wisp of smoke through my fingers.

Just as he has.

The staggering sense of loss that I'm left with in his absence is enough to convince me that finding him isn't a choice. No matter what, I have to figure out how the two of us are entwined. Whoever this boy is, he's precious to me. And even when my life starts to unravel, even when I start to question my sanity, I can't stop searching for him.

I won't stop until I find him.

Until I'm able to remember what I've forgotten.

Forgotten is a YA paranormal romance.

Lili and Ryland

This a paranormal/fantasy type of book. I haven't read one a really long time so I thought I'd give it a shot. I like "confessions of a heartbreaker" so this might be enjoyable. It was ok. It was kind of long winded. I ended up skimming through pages of inner dialogue. It was too much of the same thoughts over and over again. I do prefer first person POV books except when there is no dialogue or action for pages at a time. His mom reminds me of the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. She's conniving.

Lilianna is in high school dating Callen. Most girls are jealous of her. They've been best friends since childhood so it was natural for them to start dating. One night she has an enticing run-in with a stranger. She can't get her mind off this intriguing stranger.

5/5 stars!

Forgotten is an amazing book! It is a story about star-crossed-lovers. Lili and Ryland meet each other after they have been split apart in their past live. If you like to read about magical worlds, faeries, evil queens and eternal love, Forgotten is your book. I loved the characters, the original storyline and the beautiful descriptions.
