It's life or death: his or yours. Tonight, Kenny is looking for Tommy Fortune. If he finds him, Tommy will be silenced, perhaps for ever. Kenny's not a bad guy. So where did it all go wrong? This is going to be the longest night of Kenny's life.
Sorry, I had to force myself to finish this book. For a book that is probably marketed for young readers, teenagers, and young adults, (NOT adults), I would never want my child/ren to be reading about a guy sitting atop a girl doing obscene stuff. That just kills my mood. Plus, the plot did not seem appealing to me. I'm sorry, Anne Cassidy; not all of your books are likeable.
This committed the cardinal sin for a crime novel: it was boring.
Like, I haven't enjoyed the past few books I've read by Cassidy, but at least they've been fast paced and full of drama. This was just..........a teenage boy sleeping with his brother's girlfriend and occasionally answering text messages in full sentences with full punctuation, something that absolutely never happened in 2006 because we were all still using T9 texting and they were limited to 160 characters.
I get what Cassidy was trying to do, I really do. But what I remember of this book is the main character riding the Docklands Light Rail, and that shouldn't be my take away memory from a crime book.
The beginning of this book was very slow but the second half was a bit better, though, through this whole book I was forcing myself to finish it. It was quite inappropriate and didn’t have a great plot. I would not recommend this book.
Interesting concept, very experimental to have a whole novel take place over the place of less than 12 hours but have so much backstory. Not a HUGE fan, but an interesting piece of literature
Category: A book with a male main character. I had my eye on this book for a while after hearing from a friend that it was good. This story was so original and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Wow! I love her stories, they are so different and memorable. I loved this story because, just like her other novels, everything was unexpected and surprising. It's a story about a young man who faces many hardships throughout life just like anyone else. Although it is a story unlike any other. All of her books are amazing and speak so truthfully. I had a blast reading and so will you.
This story of two brothers, who have very contrasting lives, slowly and gradually builds to an enthralling ending. Anne Cassidy's skill at keeping the reader on edge, made this story interesting to the very end.........and it also left me to consider, would I have acted differently in that situation?
An absolutley apauling book, it basically leads to something all the way through and that something is a rubbish something and the leading was done ok, i wouldn't bother reading it.
The first half of the book was just trying to find out what happened. Pretty boring. The second half was more interesting but I still wouldn't recommend it.
