The author's direct style while being refreshing feels at times like bullying attempts to ensure the fend off debate.
There are a number of personal vendettas in this book that deter us from some of her points. And unfortunately these are not explained in a researched and scientific manner.
A book of her impressions, some interesting, some not. A gallery of articles that unfortunately miss the strategic intent while giving us great ways to burn bridges.
One thing I wholeheartedly agree though: be a business leader, not an HR leader and the business will bring you along and ask you to make that difference.

A really good read .

Short, to the point but also full of knowledge and good advice. She gives you big ideas and expects you to do the steps to make it happen. It's motivational and has helped me become excited about HR once again.

I like Laurie's style, but this book seems to be PR for her more than any type of guide....
