Smutty and sweet read! No real relationship development but I enjoyed this. Hero was Alpha enough:) Herione was shy and cute.I would of liked this to be longer with an epilogue.
safety : Herione only had sex once in college. I think it was just to see how it was which wasn't what she expected. Hero says good less guys he has to kill that touched her (awe). She does tell him no need we are still friends and he is happily married. Now if this was a full read I would of hated that. I dont like when hero or herione are still friends with exes lol. Hero had hookups and a gf. He didn't love his ex. He was only with her because he was tired of just hooking up and thought he give it a try. He officially breaks up with her the first time he seen herione. They were already done with months before that. He does mention that they were talking about maybe taking a vacation to work things out but once he seen h that thought was over. he didn't even sleep with his ex for a long while. He also tells h he should of not let it go on as long as he did. She does cause a tiny bit of drama. Hero should of told Herione that his ex was stalking him but I kind of understood why he didn't. Cute and sexy read.

This was a short and super HOT read. Both characters were likable. The ex drama was a bit trite, but I suppose the author needed something to cause a little angst. I'll give other books by this author a go.

Hot novella with nerdy scientist heroine with surfer-looks head of security.
We come in after the H and h knowing each other for 4 months and the H finally makes a move after a text sent to the wrong person. So, we don't really get to see any relationship development. It's mainly just hot sex scenes. Hero is super dirty talking, alpha though!
I could have definitely done without OW scene. It only lasted a few paragraphs but really didn't add anything to the story other than to create a little drama. It was quickly resolved but I hate people jumping to conclusions and miscommunication!
I would have loved an epilogue in the future to see where they go.

Not sure how I feel about this one. I kind of like it but something was missing. It was a fast-paced and steamy hot read, but the love story fell flat for me as there was no real relationship development.
I actually liked the premise of the story. Sophie Ward is a scientist and for the past four months has been crushing on sexy as sin Chris Riley, Chief of Security at the Blackwood Research Institute where she works. Sophie is shy, cautious around men and innocently sexy. We are told that she’s a genius but we don't really get to see it.
Sophie and Chris are friends and spend time together. But not once he made a move to ask her out on a date. She thinks that this attraction isn’t mutual and that Chris is out of her league.
A fateful cookie fortune and a little pep talk with Nat her best friend and Sophie decides to go after what she wanted.
Chris was lovable and I liked the fact that he was not a playboy. The sex scenes were scorching hot with a dirty talking hero.
All in all, I was pleased with the way things turned out for Chris and Sophie but I think it could have been a lot better. The end felt a bit rushed and it was kind of disappointing because I do enjoy a good HEA/Epilogue. Maybe we will get to see more of this couple in the next book that will be telling the story of Nat…

Sometimes a girl just needs to read a little bit of hot and bubble to make her smile and feel good about herself and life :-).
Rhyannon has always give this us fun loving Alpha males that make a girl wish they were real deal:-), When Chris finds Sophia its lust at first sight and over time it becomes a deep and strong love that makes your toes curl. This was fast going hot and sexy as hell and great read to set in the sun and relax your day away to.
Looking forward to read the next two book in this set.

Great Novella set in San Diego CA set at Blackwood Research Institute about a shy woman named Sophie who is one of the scientist there , who is in love with Chris who is the security expert. She so badly wants him to notice her. Oh they are friends but she *wants * him to *see* her as a woman, not as a friend. Her friend Natalie has been telling her for months to seek Chris out and tell him how she feels but she never thought she could do it. Finally after this lunch with Natalie and reading her fortune cookie, Sophie decides to seek Chris out. She works up the nerve and some office bimbo Lila interrupted the moment so Sophie runs off..
Chris has been in love with Sophie for months but hasn’t been able to tell Sophie how he feels, for he has a secret and is afraid if he tells Sophie he may lose her altogether. At this point in the book, you can tell by the reading, both characters are massively in love with each other but are afraid to tell each other for fear of losing each other. Sophie is a nerd but in a very cute way and Chris is described as a “sexy stud” & “hunky ex- jock”. The writing grabs you and the way these characters interact, it is intense. The passion leaps out and way the writer takes the time to paint background of the main characters and secondary characters was terrific & really helped build the mental pictures when connecting with the characters.
Chris and Sophie-oh my goodness, immediately I was rooting for them to get together and let nature take its course. Of course, misunderstandings occurred which helped lead to some HOT sex and there was one HUGE twist that happened. I want to say this is a MUST READ novella. I really loved the secondary character of Natalie. I can’t wait to read her story which I understand is coming up soon. Fantastic Read—Must HAVE!!

What can I say, Rhyannon Byrd is an autobuy for me & now that she has dipped her toe into self publishing, I hope this means even more Erotic Contemporaries to come. Alpha Male, dirty talking, totally devoted to his heroine is what Ms Byrd excels at and she certainly brought all that and more with Making His Move.

Making His Move made for a great weekend escape to San Diego. My time in San Diego started off with lunch in a Chinese restaurant located downtown where Sophie Ward and her bestie, Natalie, are having lunch. Sophie gets just a little bit of a nudge from Natalie and a fortune cookie to finally ask out Chris Riley, her office crush.
Chris Riley…so worth staying downtown after lunch…getting to meet the security expert. It isn’t too long in the afternoon before Chris has decided he is no longer fighting his attraction to Sophie. The bad boy really knows how to raise those temperatures with his dirty talking.
No visit to San Diego would be complete without a mention of the beach. We get our ocean views when Chris takes Sophie back to his condo. The heat leaps off the pages when Chris finally has Sophie where he wants her. Too bad I couldn’t prop those windows open and feel that ocean breeze…Chris and Sophie deliver some hot, sexy scenes.
I loved my quick trip to San Diego. Making His Move is a quick, fast-paced read that delivers plenty of heat. The banter between besties had me smiling and thinking of my own bff. Sophie and Chris are likable characters that had me rooting for them getting together and working through a surprise or two. I’m always looking forward to the next Rhyannon Byrd book and Nat’s story can’t get here soon enough.

I didn't find any grammar errors, the characters were flushed out. Lots of spicy hot talk and um cough, cough sex.... wink, wink. It is hot enough to get your heart rate up.
I'm giving it a solid 4, it's worth it.

The sparks fly and this story gets scorchingly hot!!!

A very hot novella, which I really enjoyed.
Sometimes you just need a short story that is all about scorching sheets, and this book had it in spades. I really enjoyed the romance, and Chris was AMAZING!

A slow burn if romance that turns up the gear factor when both parties decide to act on their attraction. Chris and Sophie work together and seem like polar opposites but when things happen you gotta love that alpha male. Do like this author and recommend.
