I didn’t complete any of the ideas in the book as I have too many projects currently going. Book has some good ideas. For me, I would only make one of the ideas out of the book and that is the pillow. I like the creative way it’s made and would make one for my daughter.
I rated this book 5 stars, because it had projects that work up quickly, even for us beginners. It's been many years since I've crocheted. Instructions are easy to follow. Stitches are easy. I worked 2 projects easily and quickly.
This is a great beginner book for somebody looking to get into crocheting. It is well laid out with background information on yd and crochet hooks before it gets into the patterns.I think I'll try the hat pattern 1st.
I am just starting to teach myself how to crochet . I love making the hats for my friends and family . it's so easy to do and understand . I think that you will love this book . Go have fun 😜
I can't yet bring myself to start Christmas projects, (in this 90 degree weather) but I will be making dome of this when I start. Easy to follow instructions.
If you’re new to crocheting, then this book will give you some simple patterns that should be easy to accomplish in 1-2 days, depending on your skills. There are beginners tips (stitch descriptions, how to choose yarn, etc.) included. If you’re a more accomplished crocheter, you should still enjoy these patterns for quick projects.
One-Day Crochet: Projects: Easy Crochet Projects You Can Complete in One Day Details on what to use: yarn and color photos of hooks and charts of sizes along with diagrams on how to make the easiest of stitches. Ten projects to choose from. Some are fast and easy to do in a day, others take longer. Like how the first project is a hat but with instructions for 4 different sizes. Each pattern has a colorful photo along with very detailed instructions on how to make. Love the projects as they are so easy to make, fast and very useful as gifts. Other works by tthe author are highlighted.
A great little crochet book, ideal for beginners and more experienced crocheters as well. I love that it has an interactive contents page, accessible from the "go to" function on my Kindle - it makes navigating the book a dream. Barb covers all the basics, materials, tools, stitches and even includes a very useful crochet hook conversion chart. Some of the patterns are a little naive but the "Throw Cushion", "Pot Holders" and "Rag Bowl" are firmly on my "to make" list.
